KIT LOVE - January 2020

Hello and HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!

We hope that you all have spent a relaxed and peaceful Holiday season.  We are so excited to kick start 2020  -and a new decade- with the release of our new Life Crafted Kit:  Fierce and Fabulous, its complementary Scrapbooking add-on kit, and a brand new set of stamps.

This month we want to help you celebrate and document all those special and everyday moments with color and a hint of glitter ;).  A new year always represent the start of a new adventure, so what better than color and sparkle to keep you going.   This month, Krystal is helping us with a detailed unboxing of our kits, so sit back and enjoy our Fierce and Fabulous  Life Crafted Kit:

I am sure that you all are planning what to create with each piece of this kit. Here is a small peek at what our CT has prepared for you coming up:

Each month we are so lucky to have Trina curate a Scrapbooking Add-On kit that complements the Life Crafted kit, and gives all of us who love a 12x12 layout more options and space to document our memories.

This month our Scrapbooking Add-on kit features a rainbow of possibilities, and includes a selection of papers from Pink Paislee and American Crafts (Dear Lizzy) that will  have you welcoming the year in style.   Here is Krystal one more time sharing her unboxing video, enjoy!:

Some of our CT members have been working with the Add-on kit and we cannot wait to share with you all her projects,   Here are a few sneaks of what is coming to our blog in the next few days:

You are going to be so inspired by these projects, so be sure to check the add on kit as it goes live so you can bundle it with your Life Crafted subscription.

Of course we also have something for all the stamp lovers out here!  Each month CTK releases stamps sets (Traveler's Notebook and This is Life) with each kit.   This month's stamps are filled with prompts, ideas and lovely sentiments that will help you document your memories.

How awesome are those two sets!  but to help you motivated and organized for the year, CTK is releasing three new sets of stamps along with the kits.   These were designed to fit all types and formats of documenting and planning ( and if you love a bold title, then the numbers are a must!)

Of course we have inspiration waiting for you from our CT.  They have been playing with these stamps sets, and you will see them in their projects.  Here are  a flew close ups of projects coming to our social media in the next few days...

We are so excited to start 2020 with you all, and cannot wait to see what you all create with all these products.  We are so thankful for your continuous support!

HAPPY 2020 you all!!

PL Challenge with Alena

Alena here with  Pocket Life Challenge for you!  In my spread I used the wonderful December Life Crafted Kit - HUSTLE & HEART
I love the palette of PL cards. They are easy to match with my photos.
Almost always I use labels and stamps on my spreads. Today I combined them.

So, my challenge for you:

Use labels and stamps together.

Choose labels of the same color as the cards. Lay them on top of each other. Use parts of labels on different cards.

Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.

Thank you for everyone's support of Citrus Twist Kits in 2019 and from all of us here at Citrus Twist Kits, we want to wish you a very Happy New Year!

Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!

It’s Sheree here on the blog today sharing a new life crafted spread that I’ve put together with the gorgeous December "Hustle and Heart" Kit.  The rainbow striped paper and 3 x 8 rainbow “Current Faves” card were two of my favourite things in the kit this month and I knew I just had to use them for this project!

I thought the end of December would be the perfect time to record what some of my favourite things are right now.  I printed out journaling for five things and adhered them into place on the “Current Faves” card.  I then added machine stitching across the journaling, the hearts and around the edge.

For the second page of the spread I started with a plain white cardstock background, then added a strip of the yellow patterned paper down the right side and a strip of the rainbow paper roughly down the centre.  Stitching was also added with my sewing machine.

I printed out five photos, each one approximately one inch square, and positioned them down the page making sure they were in the right order to match the journaling.  I then cut up the ruler die cut piece and tucked the numbers under the left side of each photo.  I also added a die cut piece to the top of the page.

In the bottom right of the page I created an embellishment cluster.  The bear with the teacup on his head is adorable and he was the first thing I chose.  I stamped a die cut label with a phrase from the December 2”x 3” Add-on stamp set, then layered it onto the bear with a tag and heart die cut.

This spread came together so easily using the kit and I’m so happy with how it turned out!  I think this will be a fun project to look back on this time next year too.

You can see my process in the video below...

Thank you for stopping by the blog today!  I’ll see again soon, but in the meantime I’d like to wish you and your loved ones a very Happy New Year!  I hope 2020 is your best year yet!

Sunday Sketch with Laura

Hello everyone! I'm Laura and today I want to show you this new project cerated with the beautiful December "Hustle & Heart" Life crafted kit! And I hope that you play along with me with the Sunday sketch!

foto de Nathalie DeSousa.

I really like the idea of this sketch with multiple pictures. It's the perfect way to get all the beatiful moments together in one place!

And here is my interpretation for this layout! It was so easy to create with the amazing kit! All the beautiful embellishments and patterned papers are so perfect to document everyday moments!

First of all, you can see that I've created some layers underneath the pictures. I added some contrast with the bold floral paper and the other softer ones! I love how all of them look together!

Then, I added the title using the puffy alphas in this turquoise blue that I love so much! I decided to combine it with some handlettering to make it more fun!

Finally, I added all the embellishments I could! The diecuts and chipboard stickers are the cutest, but I have to admit that the gold stars are my favourite of all time! Are you with me? ;)

So, I hope that you enjoyed this project and that you try to make your own layout using this sketch. I'd love to see what you create! And don't forget to check the shop for more cute supplies!

Best wishes!

Life Crafted with Elizabeth

Hello friends.  I hope you had a MERRY, merry Christmas.  I'm here today to SHARE a spread in my Life-Crafted Album using the December "Hustle and Heart" kit.

For this story, I completed a two-page layout with a tag in the middle to hold my WORDS.

On the left, I printed a full-page photo of my son and his girlfriend.  To embellish, I did some repeat stamping in white space at the top and added a chipboard arrow.

On the right, I cut a piece of the COLORFUL patterned paper to use as my background.  Then, I printed a couple of detail 3x3 photos and placed the chipboard circle in the center.

At the top, I stamped the date and layered with a couple of the word phrase stickers.  To finish, I added a chipboard heart.

At the bottom, I added "SKATE" with the puffy alphabet stickers and layered with two of the snowflake die-cuts.

To include my WORDS, I cut one of the 3x4 journal cards into the shape of a tag.  After running it through my computer, I punched my holes and added some baker's twine.  To finish, I layered two die-cuts and a chipboard shape.  (I TYPICALLY embellish in groups of threes).

On the back of the tag, I cut and adhered a piece of the snowflake patterned paper.  To add some COLOR and INTEREST, I placed a label die-cut and stamped a small sentiment at the bottom.  (I OFTEN have things interact with the edges).

I hope you found some INSPIRATION.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  HAPPY crafting.
