Sunday Sketch with Katarina

Hi CTK friends,

Katarina back with you, bringing you another Sunday Sketch inspiration. As always, we have a beautiful sketch that can be used as inspiration for any format of layout.

Here's the sketch:

I created a layout in my 6*8 Life Crafted Album and used the gorgeous Travelogue '23 Kit and the new Sadie Upper and Lower Alphabet Stamps. Let's have a look:

The sketch really inspired me a lot and I decided to follow it almost fully. The only problem was to keep so much clean space, with so many beautiful products at my desk.

For my background I used one of the Travelogue '23 digital papers and I used some more as layers under my two photos. For some added texture and for journaling purposes, I added one of the tags from the Travelogue '23 Ephemera.

I embellished my photos with some of the Tiny Words stickers and Circle Stickers from the Travelogue '23 Kit. They were a perfect addition to my hiking story.

Then I enjoyed some stamping. For my title, I combined the new Sadie Alphabet Upper and Lower Stamps. Next I used the Cravings Stamp to add some more stamping to fill in the space between my title and photos. To add some more interest, I used two colors of ink.

I found the "Let's Go Explore" sign die cut so perfect for this layout, that I just had to add it next to my title. If you look closer at the sketch, there are very subtle splatters in the top right side of the design. Here I decided to go for more stamping and used some of the tiny stamps from the Cravings Stamp and a subtle grey ink to add some words related to my story.

As a final touch, I added a bunch of CTK Jewel Enamel Dots in perfectly matching colors. I really love how my layout turned out, it is always so refreshing to use a sketch as inspiration for my projects. Will you try it?

Thank you for stopping by today, friends and have a lovely rest of your weekend.

3-to-Inspire with Ettiene

Hello everyone.  I'm so excited to be here this Saturday with another 3-to-Inspire.  I'm using this months digital kit to create a layout using the following recipe for inspiration:

1. A self portrait

2. Journaling in the form of a list

3. A repeated embellishment

Here is a look at the layout I created following this recipe.

I loved the camera embellishment and it made me think of my own love of photography.  I paired it with a self portrait and a bold title using the bright pink puffy alphas and the captured digital title.

For my journaling I used the numbers from the crafting memories digital paper to list 3 things about right now.  For my repeated embellishment I added several butterflies.

I hope this layout gives you some inspiration for the weekend.  If you make a layout I would love to see it.

Sunday Sketch with Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  I'm excited to be here and share the Sunday Sketch and my interpretation with you today.  I used a lot of the sketch as is in my interpretation.

First off, I loved the layers and the torn edges, the stapled photos, and that wonderful ribbon trim.  So that is what my focus was on.  Instead of using the third photo, I used the National Scrapbook Day CTK album ephemera in place of one.  And then added stamping on top of it.  I used three different ribbons on my project using leftovers from past CTK kits.

I used the last of my chipboard frame for the center photo.  It did cover the staples, which I loved the look, but loved the chipboard even more for bringing more focus on top of all the wonderful layering.  I used the stickers and pattern paper from the Travelogue 23 kit and chipboard stars to add more layering a color.  For the stamps, I added Travelite, Tiny Words Explore, and Bailey Alphabet for the year.

For my journaling, I used one of the CTK tags from my stash, which added another great layer.  I finished the project off with watered down black paint.  You can see my reel on Instagram for the process of creating this here.

Thank you so much for stopping by and hope you are inspired as well by the sketch!

3 To Inspire with Lory

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday!

How are you? Today I am happy to share a new Life crafted spread using the beautiful materials from the shop and mixing them together to give you all the right inspiration to create and preserve your memories.

This is my recipe for this weekly inspiration:

  1. Create clusters of embellishments
  2. Use flowers and alphabet stickers
  3. mix a color and a black and white picture.

And now let me show you my spread and let me tell you the story about it;)

To create my spread I started from the circles. I had the idea of creating some little circles with so many little meaningful details.  To create my embellishments clusters I have used the super cute digitals of this month that you can find here. Then I added a watercolor background where I stamped with the new alphabet stamp Sadie Lower, simply gorgeous! A tone on tone effect.

Then I just added my journaling and a bigger photo on the right. I have used again the circle shape with a little title using the puffy alphabet stickers

Some details here

Thank you for stopping by and I hope to have inspired you :)
Can't wait to see your creations.

Love, Lory

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH MARSHA

Hey, CTK friends! It's Marsha here today, and I'm sharing a layout for Sunday Sketch. I love sketches and was excited to create a spread using this one as a jumping-off point!

Here's a look at the sketch:

The sketch is in an 8.5x11 format, but it was easy to convert it to a Life Crafted album spread by separating the design down the middle of the page.

Here's a look at my layout:

The Crafting Memories digitals and Handcrafted die cut ephemera were perfect for this layout, documenting a photo of me in my craft room. I began by printing two digital papers to serve as a base for the page. Next, I followed the sketch and did a bit of layering behind my photo with another digital patterned paper and a few ephemera pieces.

I used a phrase from the Handcrafted die cut ephemera for the title and created a cluster with a floral piece and some of the fun crafty die-cut elements. To complete the page, I stamped a few phrases using the Slow Days stamp and black ink.

For the other side of the layout, I created a bookshelf by trimming a piece of woodgrain digital patterned paper and adding the mini Life Crafted Albums die cut from the National Scrapbook Day digital elements to the shelf. I love how this turned out! It also mimics the row of colorful albums in my photo. I did more stamping above the shelf with the Slow Days stamp. Then, I added hand-drawn lines and an enamel dot to make it look like a wall hanging. To complete the page, I added a butterfly from the Crafting Memories digital ephemera.

I hope you are inspired to create a layout based on this week's sketch! Happy creating!

3-To-Inspire With Diane Dziuban

Hi everyone! It's Diane here with this week's 3-To-Inspire challenge.

The Three prompts I chose are:

1. Use a digital element somewhere on the page.

2. Use ephemera to tell the story.

3. Use one large photo on the page.

I had fun using these prompts to tell the story of picking up some old crafty favorites again. The ephemera in the Crafting Memories collection was perfect to help me get this story documented.

I layered a couple of pieces of ephemera in two corners of the layout. I always love using the florals that come in the ephemera packages, they are so pretty! I also added one of the large words to the top of the layout for a fun element.

To add my journaling, I made a tag out of one of the 3x4 digital journal cards from the May Digitals collection and slipped it behind the photo. This is one of my favorite ways to add my journaling, creating an interactive element.

It's always fun to come up with these prompts and document a story! I hope you will play along too!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look!

Happy scrapping,
Diane

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH ASHLEY

Hey CTK friends! I hope you had a great iNSD yesterday and were able to join in the fun CTK challenges and pick up some of your favorite things from the sale!! I'm here today to bring you some inspiration for this week's Sunday Sketch, and it's a great one!

I wanted to use this sketch for a Traveler's Notebook layout in my Life Crafted album, so I knew I would need to make some adjustments. Since it is formatted for an 8.5x11 design, I decided it would work better for me if I rotated it.

I loved the cute pocket card from this month's Crafting Memories release, and I wanted to use it in one of the photo spots. I placed it as the center one and then chose two photos to go on each side. By using the card in the middle of my layout, that meant I didn't have to cut down the middle of one of my photos, which worked out great!

I used two of the hearts from the Crafting Memories digital ephemera to place in the photo spots on the pocket card and the Love This circle, to add some dimension to it. Then I used a few other embellishments around my photos to add some interest.

I finished the layout with some paper strips that tied into the design of the sketch, but I decided to add them at the top and bottom of the layout. I just printed out one of the Crafting Memories digital papers and cut it to 5x.75 inches. Then I machine stitched across all of the pieces.

I hope you've found some inspiration for this week's Sunday Sketch and that you'll give it a try!!
