3 to Inspire with Lorilei

Hello!!  Thank you so much for joining me today!  I have 3 things for you to use a jumping-off point for your next project!

I am using the February 2020 Possibilities Life Crafted Kit for my pages today.

My 3 to Inspire items are:

  1. Use a full page or large photo
  2. Do a bit of ghost or messy stamping
  3. Add a slight angle to your embellishments/cards or photo
I used a full size photo on the left side of my spread, I added a few embellishments to the photo to tie it to the right side.  On the right side I added a column of die cuts and just a touch of messy stamping to finish off the page!

I love all the embellishments this month in the kits, they are so fun to layer!  As always I have to use the stamp sets!!

I hope you find time to create something using my 3 prompts!

Friends & Fika - 3 to Inspire with Anna

Hi dear friends!
Anna here with you today bringing you this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge. I just love this month's Life Crafted Fierce & Fabulous Kit! Lots of  happy colors, gorgeous designs and so versatile which made creating with it super easy. Also that absolutely stunning rainbow subscriber exclusive cut file (designed by Nathalie) made everything come together so smooth. Well let's have a look at the prompts I've choosen.

  1. Use color mist/watercolors on your background, preferably more than one color.
  2. Use Digital files (Stamps/Cut Files/ Cut apart elements/PL cards/TN papers/)
  3. Use more than two patterned papers.

With these prompts my 12x12 layout came up so easily and I had so much fun while creating.
Now it's your turn to dig into your kit's and play along with us in this challenge.

Here's what I created.

My first promt, use color mist I bet you can find pretty easy here, lol! I've use three different colors and I love the sprinkle effect it made for my page.

Promt no 2 and 3 you can spy on this close up. I've used the rainbow cut file together with not less than FIVE different papers. So many beautiful papers and I'm so hapy that I could fit them in here. Color happiness!!

To finish this happy page I used a few puffy Stickers as well as a few die cut pieces. They are just gorgeous.

Now I do really hope this challenge inspires you to create a project of your own. Be sure to head over to the website and check the kits for this month as well as the different stamps that are available in the CTK shop.
Also please do ask me if you have any questions and I will try to help out.

All the best until next time! Anna xo

3-To-Inspire with Sheree

Hi everyone!  It's Sheree here with a new 3-to-inspire challenge to get you creating this weekend.  The recipe I've come up with for you today is:

1. make a photo into a tag
2. put your title on its side
3. use at least 3 photos

You can create a layout, life crafted spread, traveler's notebook spread or whatever format you like so long as you've included these three things.

Here's what I came up with using the December 2019 Life Crafted Kit...

I had three photos chosen for this spread today of my son cooking himself some pancakes...something he never would have done alone before!  Now that he's studying hospitality at school he's gained so much confidence in the kitchen which is great to see so I wanted to document it.

I absolutely love the colourful, striped paper in the kit this month so that was the first thing I reached for when starting this project.  I decided on a plain white background for the first page and a full sized patterned paper background for the second page using the pretty blue paper from the kit.

On the first page I adhered a strip of the colourful stripey paper down the left side and added some machine stitching.  I used a stamp from the This is Life "Born For This" stamp set and the puffy  alphabet stickers for the title, positioning them together down the left side, then arranged the two smaller photos onto the page.  A circular chipboard piece between the two photos and a date stamp was also added.

For the second page of the spread, I matted the larger photo with more of the stripey paper, added some stitching then punched a hole in the top to create a tag.  Twine was tied the hole, then after the tag was adhered to the page I stapled the twine to the top of the page. A die cut was also adhered to the top left of the tag with foam dots.

Under the photo I added a label from the digital printable cut apart sheet and a word phrase sticker from the kit.  Then I simply printed my journaling and stitched it to the bottom of the page.

Everything came together so easily using the kit!  I just love all the colours!

You can see my process in the video below...

Thank you so much for popping by the blog today.  I hope you will have a go at the challenge too!  Enjoy!

Sheree x

3 To Inspire with Alena

Hello, crafty friends! Alena here today with a 3-to-Inspire challenge for you!
I am sharing some more pages in my wonderful Life Crafted Album. I used the lovely November Gratitude Life Crafted Kit.

For my layout today, I began by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the Leafy Frames cut file - one of the subscriber exclusive cut files for this month. I cut out the title "Family" so that it took up a full page. Next, I embellished it with Puffy stickers, Vellum die cuts, stamps

On the first page I placed a black and white photo, so I can add more color embellishments. But to make the page look harmonious, I added black branches that were printed and cut by hand.

For today's 3-to-Inspire, the categories are:

1. Use  CTK stamps, physical or digital.
2. Use Vellum die cuts.
3. Use a cut file or hand cut your title

Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.

3-TO-INSPIRE with Elizabeth

Hello friends.  Happy Saturday.  I'm DELIGHTED to share a 3-to-inspire challenge with you.  This weekly series is designed to help YOU channel your inner MOJO.  To participate, simply include ALL three of the following prompts in ANY project.

The prompts this week include:

1.  WORDS, WORDS, WORDS.
2.  For the LOVE of labels.
3.  Ephemera cluster.

Here's my take on this challenge...

As you can see,  I chose to do a two-page layout in my Life Crafted Album.  The first prompt, WORDS, can take MANY forms.  I ALWAYS try to include words (large OR small) to support my photos.  In this layout, I used patterned paper, journaling, stamps AND ephemera to share my story.

The second prompt, LABELS, can also be used in a VARIETY of ways.  In this layout, I used labels to hold words, add color, bring consistency among pages, and hang the date from a tag.

The final prompt is EPHEMERA.  I try to add bits and pieces in clusters (usually in ODD numbers).  In this layout, I intentionally chose three that were DIFFERENT in color and style.  I also put foam tape behind the "Documented" strip to add a little bit of DIMENSION.

I hope this challenge provides some inspiration.  HAPPY crafting:)

3 To Inspire Life Crafted Pages with the Explore Kit

Hello!  Lorilei here today sharing my first project and my first post for Citrus Twist Kits!  I have a spread in my Life Crafted Album using the September Explore kit!

When my kit arrived, I couldn't decide where to start!  Everything is so lovely!  I decided to focus on the "Let's Wander" stamp set and one of the lovely floral papers.  I began by fussy cutting the flowers from the paper and then using my 2" circle punch, I punched three holes in my white background paper.  Underneath the paper, I used the wood grain 6x8 paper and stamped circles and sentiments using the Let's Wander stamp set.  I love the dimension and how the stamps peek through the circles.

Next, I added my fussy cut florals in a trail around the circles.  I added foam adhesive to some of them for dimension!

I love the possibilities this stamp set offers, and the handy guide on the back of the stamp set is brilliant!

Next, I moved on to my pocket inserts.  I used the 2 - 3x4 pockets and added my photo and a journal card from the Explore kit.  To tie the left side and right side together, I added a small cluster of fussy cut florals and stapled a sweet little banner from the printable cut-apart sheet.

Behind the pockets, you can see that I added a full page of the wood grain paper with the leaf cut file on top!

Thank you so much for joining me today!  I have three ideas to inspire you using my spread.
  1. Punch holes in a paper and add stamped images underneath, if you don't have a punch you can add the stamps directly to the page or stamp on an extra paper and adhere them to your base page.
  2. Fussy cut florals from the 6x8 papers.
  3. Add an out of pocket embellishment or cluster to your pocket insert.

3-To-Inspire with Anna

Hi dear friends!

Anna here with you today bringing you this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge. I really like this challenge it's just the perfect thing to get your crafty mojo on the road again or if you just want to try something new. This month's Life Crafted Kit, Chasing Rainbows, is amazing as always! Then add those gorgeous CTK cut files on top of that ( some of them subscribers exclusive) and you are home, lol! Lots of  happy colors, gorgeous designs and so versatile which make creating with it super easy. Let's have a look at the prompts I've choosen.

  1. Use puffy stickers.
  2. Use a digital cut file, there's lot's of them in the CTK shop :)
  3. Use acetate die cuts.

With these prompts (and a few more goodies) my 12x12 layout came up so easily and I had so much fun while creating.
Now it's your turn to dig into your kit's and play along with us in this challenge.

Here's what I came up with, enjoy!

Just take a moment and take in the beauty of this fantastic cut file designed by our own super talented Nathalie. It's the star of my page (as well as my beautiful daughter of course).

These light blue puffy alpha stickers are just adorable. Also I do really like this stamp out of the Life Crafted - This is Life - Oh Happy Day clear stamp set.

These acetate die cuts are so vibrant and beautiful. Here I've backed it with a white cardstoc circle to enhance the color and the text on it.

Here's the other part of the stamp from the Oh Happy Day set, this time I separated them but still if you folow the flow of my sentiment you will see that they kind of belong together.

Hope you have got some inspiration here today! Now it's your turn to dig into you scrappy things and start creating. I can't wait to see what you create using these three prompts. Don't forget to share with us on Instagram @citrustwistkits #citrustwistkits and/or our CTK Fan Page on Facebook.

Until next time! Anna xo
