SUNDAY SKETCH WITH MARINA

Hello, CTK friends!
Today Marina with you and here is my inspiration in our Sunday Sketch Challenge: I added my lovely page to the spread of my 6x8 Spring album and I just love how easy it is to do this using our sketches! :)

Here's that beautiful sketch that helped me today: I used it "as is" but you remember that you can do literally anything with sketches, right?.. You can turn it to the right, to the left, or even upside down, you can mirror it - it all depends on your personal view :)

...and this is what came out of it :)
For the design of the page I used our great April Travelogue-23 Kit:

To highlight the main characters in the photo, I added a frame from - old, but gold - Flea Market Findings:
To create the layers, I picked up the paper in our clothing palette: blue and orange
I chose yellow as an accent color and added it to one of the layers and to the header - my favorite Sun Yellow Alphabet :)
To bring the entire spread into balance, I added some blue, yellow and orange to the opposite side with a journaling card and our April's Digital Elements:

And honestly, I really like the result! :))

I love sketches and use them often when creating my pages, and you can find them on our blog literally every Sunday, don't miss out!
We always look forward to seeing what you create with them, so be sure to tag Citrus Twist Kits in your posts!

Thank you all for your attention and have a great week!
XO

3 to inspire- Suzanne

Hii friends,

Welcome to a new 3 to inspire!

This month the challenge is:
1. Use your old scrap paper and left over embellishments
2. Use a cutfile
3. Be creative with your stamps

I used the new alphabet stamp set and stamps the letters on design paper, the fussy cut them out and this way they make a great part of a big title.

I used a citrus twist cutfile and layers design paper on it, so it makes an extra fun vocal point on the yellow paper, then I added some words and dots and this side of the page is finished!
On the left side of the spread I gatherd some left over design papers and layered them on top of each other, I love to make extra layers like this, I added some embellishments and splattered with blue and with for extra interest.
I hope that I have inspired you to go through your stash and find new ways to use them

Sunday Sketch with Jasmin

Happy Sunday! Jasmin here with today's sketch in my Life Crafted Album.

In this Sketch are lotˋs of layers. Did you know that there are free files in the shop? I used one of the free Christmas Storytime December 2021 cut file.

When I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to  documenting our day trip to Pompeii. The ticket in the middle.

Then I started overlapping two patterned papers and decorated around with embellishments from the April kit.

I hope you like it.

Have a wonderful Day.

3-To-Inspire with Traci

Hey, hey, hey! Traci Reed here today with your 3-To-Inspire challenge! Today I have a fun set of criteria for you to play with that can be adapted to any layout!
  1. Use a Photo Booth Strip
  2. Use 3 Tags
  3. Hide something in your layout
I used the Travelogue 2023 Collection to scrapbook this layout in my Life Crafted Album for this challenge!
As you can see, I have lots of hidden goodies on my page (including a hidden Photo Booth strip) and FOUR tags!  I love creating interactive layouts in my Life Crafted albums because it's a great way to get MORE on the page - which is always a bonus when you're working with a smaller canvas.

You can print out your photos in such a way that you can trim them into a Photo Booth strip like I did here, or you can just print a series of smaller photos and mat them on card stock to create a Photo Booth strip!

I made one of my tags the full background of one side of my spread and then hid another for my journaling. The other two tags on the spread are ephemera from the Travelogue 2023 Collection.

Lastly, I used a combination of the Harlowe and Harper stamp alphas from the store for my title! I love, love, love these alphas!

I hope you join along in the challenge and if you want to watch the process video, it's linked below!

Sunday Sketch with Amy

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I'm excited to participate in my first EVER Sunday Sketch!  I was thrilled to be able to do a sketch with the latest Travelogue kit, because it is super fun, and travel layouts are my all-time favorite. Here is the sketch I worked with, followed by my interpretation in the original Life Crafted size:

I really liked the pattern paper strip elements from the sketch paired the circular journaling, so those were the elements I focused on bringing into my layout. I chose to add the strips, circles, photo and journaling in Photoshop so I could move things around and test different papers, but this could very easily be done using just physical products.

This is what the layout looked like when I printed it.  I actually love how this looks before I cut it in half, and I think it would translate well to both 6x8 or 12x12.

Next, I chose to spread the layout across two pages, so that I could include a bigger photo. I love finding ways to incorporate larger photos into seemingly smaller Life Crafted pages, and this was another way to do just that.

Finally, I added the title word "explore" to the upper left side to balance the journaling in the lower right.  I then used some of the puffy stickers for some visual texture, which also matched the darker shades in the blue pattern paper, and the blue in my husband's shirt.

I really like how this layout came together, and how the sketch gave me a great jumping off point.  I hope you were inspired to try it too!  Be sure to tag me on Instagram if you give it a shot @alphins_little_corner

3 To Inspire with Jennie

Hi Friends! This is Jennie with a 3 to Inspire Post!

I love journaling cards! Having a digital option that I can print over and over is a dream. But sometimes, I get too excited while printing and I end up having a lot of cards! Once in a while you can grab them and mix them all up! The Life Crafted Kits all have a distinctive look that makes the kits match.

Your first prompt it to mix up the journaling cards or papers!

Speaking of loving things a little bit too much, I also love photos! I bet you are not surprised. When I have a group of photos that look very similar I like to create photo collages.

Your second prompt is photo collages. From 2 to 20 photos, these are super fun to add!
Special occasions are fun to document, but I really enjoy the mundane every day moments and pieces like this coffee photo which is a part of my daily routine documented in a different way than a mug photo.

The card on the left is from the Spring Dreams Digital Journaling Cards. The title card is from the Cherish Digital Journaling Cards. I also used Orange Sherbet Puffy Alphabet, Cherish Heart Stickers, and the label is from the Jingle All The Way Digital Elements. That's 3 collections in one little card!

If I close my eyes for a second, I can see my grandma's handwriting and it gives me a feeling that typed words can't. I want my kids to have that experience, and also your loved ones.

The third prompt is to use your handwriting.
Even when I use collages, I pick a few of my favorite photos to print in regular size.
Hopefully you have many good days so you can use this card from the Spring Dreams Digital Journaling Cards.
To recap the prompts are:

  1. Mix your papers and journaling cards.
  2. Add lots of photos using photo collages.
  3. Use your handwriting.
I hope you can use these prompts! Take care!

Sunday sketch with Alena

Hey everyone!  It's Alena with  layout for Sunday Sketch.

Here's a look at the sketch this week:

I created the layout using the new inspirational TRAVELOGUE 23 LIFE-CRAFTED KIT.

The basis of the layout is a white cardstock, on which I added fragments of patterned paper.

I replaced the vertical that is on the sketch with round elements. I also added pieces of Ephemera that perfectly match my pink down jacket in the photo.

Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own.  Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.  I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.
