3 To Inspire with Jennie

 

Hi Friends! This is Jennie with a 3 to Inspire Post! 

I love journaling cards! Having a digital option that I can print over and over is a dream. But sometimes, I get too excited while printing and I end up having a lot of cards! Once in a while you can grab them and mix them all up! The Life Crafted Kits all have a distinctive look that makes the kits match. 

Your first prompt it to mix up the journaling cards or papers! 

Speaking of loving things a little bit too much, I also love photos! I bet you are not surprised. When I have a group of photos that look very similar I like to create photo collages. 

Your second prompt is photo collages. From 2 to 20 photos, these are super fun to add!  

Special occasions are fun to document, but I really enjoy the mundane every day moments and pieces like this coffee photo which is a part of my daily routine documented in a different way than a mug photo. 

The card on the left is from the Spring Dreams Digital Journaling Cards. The title card is from the Cherish Digital Journaling Cards. I also used Orange Sherbet Puffy Alphabet, Cherish Heart Stickers, and the label is from the Jingle All The Way Digital Elements. That's 3 collections in one little card! 

If I close my eyes for a second, I can see my grandma's handwriting and it gives me a feeling that typed words can't. I want my kids to have that experience, and also your loved ones.

The third prompt is to use your handwriting.

Even when I use collages, I pick a few of my favorite photos to print in regular size.

Let's Get Digital with Nathalie

Hi there!
Nathalie with you today to show you how easy is to work hybrid projects for your Life Crafted album using this month's AROUND HERE Digital PL Cards.

Personally, my daily documenting approach is filled with many hybrid layouts, as i love how easy it is to print your papers, embellishments and  others to fit your ideas,  but my favorite thing about hybrid scrapbooking is that i get to add my lines of journal in the page without wondering if it is all going to fit. 

For this first entry,  I used the new page protector # 3.   Using photoshop, i opened the PL card and embedded the picture in the provided picture spot.   I enlarged the card  so that it fills more of the 4x6 space, and then  backed it with papers from the Around Here kit.

The cut apart elements are a great way to create clusters and add your journaling, all i did was size them up, added my lines of journal to one of the label spots and then print them all in one sheet. A bit of fussy cutting, and then some glue was all i needed to complete this page.

For this next layout, i chose to once again enlarge three of the PL cards, so that  i can use them as layers in the page, and,  if you look closely,  i shrunk one of the cards so that i could cut the sentiment and use it as an embellishment.

I chose to enlarge the Home Sweet Home card to fit almost the 4x6 pocket, at the same time, i enlarged one of the subscriber bonus PL cards, and cut the number strips and the sentiment, those form the layers behind the picture.

For this page, i enlarged both 4x6 PL cards.  I fussy cut the tags from one of the cards, and use it as part of the cluster on this page.   The small cluster of embellishments next to the picture are also made up of PL cards;  The  This is Not A Dream sentiment was created by shrinking the card to, and then trimming the title, the layers behind are just pieces of the other cards.   A few pieces from the Around here kit complete the page.

This last entry was created using the beautiful PL card with the striped rainbow circles.   First I  enlarged the card to fit the width of the Life Crafted page, and then moved it so that the circles were in the middle of the page.

To create the title, i embedded the Here & Now Sentiment from the This is Life -Routine Digital Stamp before printing.   The stickers and date were added after.

For the other side of this page, i used the enlarged PL card, and rotated it so that it formed the two rows of circles at the top and bottom of the page.  Then added the lines of journal in the empty space in the middle of the page. 

 The layers behind the pictures are also PL cards, I enlarged the 4x6  card with all the tags, and fussy cut them.    The sentiment at the edge of each card was perfect to frame the pictures.  A few physical stickers and ephemera pieces complete the page.

Life Crafted with Nathalie

Nathalie with you today! By now you all have seen this month's "MAKE IT A VENTI" Life Crafted kit.   I think we  are all in awe at what Trina is putting together for the kits each month, truly gorgeous patterns, colors and ideas that make putting together a layout super easy and fast.

It all started with one of this month's exclusive cut files.   I used the small screen version of it to cut two of them  with the same dimension but as mirror images of each other,so  that i can sandwich patterned paper in between both sides of the page.

For the first layout, i used the heart screen as the background for my picture.   Since i was backing the cut file,  i chose to print the Digital TN papers so that i can have the same pattern for both sides of the page -having the option to print my own papers on demand helps to stretch the kits and personalize them, so check out the digital files available in the store-.

The picture of both my Goddaughters  was backed with the one of the Make It a Venti kit's papers and set on the heart background.   I added a few of the cut apart elements to the picture to create a cluster, and then brought a few stickers from last month's Life Chapters kit to add sentiments to each cluster.   I added my lines of journal at the bottom of this page.

To complement this page, i used the b side of a previous 3x8 insert to  add a few of the kit's PL cards and house my title in one of them.  For this, i printed the flower frame PL card and fussy cut the floral image.  This was then glued to the top of the card, the empty space left was the perfect spot to add my title using the mini rose gold alpha stickers from the kit.    The bottom card was  used as a filler card,  but was the perfect complement on color and sentiment for my layout.

Remember i mentioned that i cut two mirror image cut outs of the heart screen, and sandwich patterned paper in between them; well here is the b-side of the layout.  This time i went for a simpler approach in this page.

This time, I am using the cut out as a complement to my picture and not the background. So, i decided to add my title to this page using a combination of the ephemera and Puffy Alpha stickers from the Make It a Venti kit.   The word sticker and chipboard heart are pieces from past kits that complement this page.

I used one of the TN digital papers as the background for my picture.   This time, a paper from the kit was used as a layer behind the picture,  To repeat the colors in the title, labels and stickers from the cut apart sheet and previous kits were used.  I cut one of this month's PL cards to create my journaling spot and sentiment under the picture, and then finished  this spread by adding a few stamped sentiments using one of the add-on stamp sets.  The following video will show you  how it all came together:

The new "Make It A Venti" Life Crafted kit is sure to be one of my most favorites to date.   Plus having the option of printing my own papers and PL cards on demand make it so much more lasting, so check out these option son the digital CTK shop.

Life Crafted with Anna

Hi dear Friends! Anna here with you today sharing some Life Crafted "Life Chapter goodness. Unfortunately my March DT-box is a bit delayed because of a snow bizzard. Though I have had a blast playing with lots of the gorgeous March Life Crafted digital printables which you can find in the CTK shop.
So much fun! I have also used a few puffy hearts from the February kit.

Here's what I came up with. It ended up with both a spread for my beautiful Life Crafted Album as well as an ordinary layout. Hope you will like it!

The left side is one of the digital Journaling cards for March. I printed it slightly larger and made some trimming to make it fit in my pocket. For my right side I have used one of the March digital Travelers Notebook papers and also a few pieces from the Cut Aparts sheet.

And there you have the album spread, next up is my layout. Enjoy!

I have used the March Digital Journaling cards and printed out one of them in Lettersize format for my background. For my layers underneath my photo I have printed some of the digital Travelers Notebook  papers for March. Also you can see a few pieces from the Cut Aparts sheet.

Hello, crafty friends! Alena here today with a 3-to-Inspire challenge for you!
Here's the prompts I chose:

1. Use square photos.
2. Use free cut aparts (digital files).
3. Use the Puffy stickers.

For my spread I used digital files which you can find here.

I created a page in Photoshop, which added all my photos and journaling. Paper embellishments I cut with scissors. So you can see that you don't have to have special tools for that. Also I added accents with machine stitching

For a bright spread  you will need funny photos and a little imagination.

Product Highlight - PATTERNED PAPER

Hello CTK friends!

Anna and Nathalie with you today to shine the spotlight on Patterned Paper.  Let's be honest, we all have a stash of paper we are keeping to document that special memory, and this month's Skyland  Scrapbook, PL kit, Patterned Paper Play and Outside Stories kit are filled with beautiful papers. But before you put them away in your stash, let us show you how you can combine and use them in your projects.  First up is Nathalie.

Hi there!,  Nathalie here to bring you a bit of inspiration using a few of the patterned papers from this month's Skyland kits.  This month, the papers are gorgeous, filled with fun designs, and perfect to document all your memories.

For my layout, i wanted to create a very coastal mood for the page, as it documents a picture of my daughter after spending a day basking in the sun on the beach. For this i picked papers from the Skyland Scrapbook Kit, PL kit, Patterned Paper Play kit and also used a digital card to create a patterned paper for this page.  

What better way to use paper and mix patterns than to crate paper flowers. I used a combination of cut files (Silhouette Store) and some dies to create the centers and petals of the flowers.  I used a bone folder to add some movement to the petals. Some of the flowers were layered together, so that they add dimension to the page.

Along the way,  i added a few die cut leaves  (Maya Road die) cut from white cardstock (color a few with green paint, too), so that they will form clusters around the picture and the entire page.   A few of the Scrapbook kit embellishments and elements from the cut apart sheet also were added along the clusters to embellish the page. Finally a few sentiments using the Conversation Starter Stamp complete this page.

Really, the patterns and designs on this month's Skyland kits are gorgeous, and easy to combine in your projects, so do not put them away (not yet at least!).

Hi dear CTK friends! Anna here bringing you some more patterned paper inspiration made with the July Skyland Kits. But first, don't you love Nathalie's beautiful layout!? So much to love about that, as always with Nathalie's work. Pure happiness:)

Anyway, my layout is made with a combo of Skyland  Scrapbook kit, PL kit, Mixed Media kit and one of the gorgeous July Cut Files.

And here's what I came up with.

I decided to let a part of the gorgeous Simple Stories paper be the focal point and "queen of the page" since backing this lovely "Celebrate" Cut file with it as my BIG title. I love how this turned out.

For my background I've been playing around with the two pink acrylic's from the Mixed Media kit and a few ordinary color mists from my stash. Just smooshing (or as Vicki Boutin said, "Kissing" lol!) my paper with a plastic bag prepped with color until I'm satisfied with the result.

Look at these lovely layers of pattened papers, yummy!

And here's another stack of layers, a combo of papers, cotton and die-cuts, beautiful! Also there's a good idea to tuck some epoxy stickers or other embellishments within/underneath your layers of paper.

The colors and design of the papers in this kit (and all of the past CTK kits as well, lol!) are perfectly unperfect matched with the stickers and other goodies in the kit. Trina is the queen of making kits, thats the way it is, can't help it.
