SUNDAY SKETCH WITH KATARINA

Hi friends,

Katarina here with you again, today with this week’s Sunday Sketch challenge. I really loved the sketch I worked with, I believe it will be inspiring for you too. Let’s have a look.

This week’s sketch:

And here’s my project inspired by it:

When I saw the sketch for the first time I immediately knew I was going to create an interactive project. I turned the sketch by 90 degrees and decided to create a layout in my 6x8 Life Crafted album where I started documenting our December stories. I used the super pretty Jingle All The Way kit and digitals as well as some other products from the shop.

I loved the circular elements on the sketch and created a flip page using the beautiful patterned papers from the kit. I used a plate to draw a semi-circular line on my papers. Then I printed two of my photos as circles and matted them with two bigger circles cut from the papers from the kit.

I used a big die cut with presents from the kit ephemera to secure the flip page and added lots of stars that I found in the kit embellishments.

There’s a gorgeous bookmark in the collection’s digital journal cards, I used it behind the flap to add my journaling.

On the right side of my spread I used another beautiful patterned paper and since it was 6 inches wide and I needed 7, I cut it and added a stripe of craft cardstock towards the right side of the page where I knew my photos and title were going to be.

I used both alphabets from the kit to add my title, and the pretty self-adhesive golden lace (also included in the kit) for a pretty detail.

I created a paper bow using two papers from the Crate Paper’sMittens and Mistletoe 6x8 Paper pack from the shop. It was perfect to finish a little Christmas present I fussy cut from one of the digitalpapers.

As a finishing touch I sprinkled a bunch of sequins from the kit's sequin mix and some stickers from the kit around my layout and called it done.

I love how a good sketch can inspire me to create something I would otherwise never come up with. Hope you get inspired too to use your Jingle All the Way Kit and that you find some time to create something beautiful! Thanks for stopping by, friends!

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH MARINA

Hey everyone! Marina here with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge and here are my three:

1. Digital cards and papers
2. From flat to dimensional
3. Additional decorations from the elements of the paper pattern

First of all, I only used digital cards and papers from our Jingle All The Way kit to create my spread, but I wanted to add some volume to the flat cards so I printed this lovely card twice, cut out the designs and raised them with foam tape.

In this little digital paper layout, I also added volume to the layers and used cut out stars and stamps from our other gorgeous paper designs for extra decoration:
I finished by adding a thick title of cool stickers from our physical Jingle All The Way kit and a couple of dots:
Hope you find my layout and the prompts inspiring and that you can find some time to create and enjoy our challenge this weekend. Thanks for stopping by!

Life-Crafted Friday with Nolana

Hello Everyone,

So very excited to be with you today for Life-Crafted Friday. Today I am sharing a spread I created to document my Christmas wishes for this year, but this type of layout can totally be used for many other things, for example writing the gifts I'd like to purchase for family members in the hidden journaling spaces.

I fell in love with the gift paper in the digital kit and knew I wanted to create an interactive spread, so I created cut outs of the gifts that matched with the tags in the digital elements.

I love that the labels are perfect size to just write down my little things and tuck right back in and camouflages in to the paper so that no one can see it! *No peeking please*

Once the interactive section was complete, I placed an acetate cover and one of my favourite journal cards from the digital kit over it.

I do hope you enjoyed my post today, feel free to connect with me on Instagram at instagram.com/nehlan.has.a.plan for all the December shenanigans!

Wishing you all the best for this wonderful holiday season!

Bye for now!

Sunday Sketch with Suzanne

Hello friends,

Today I have made the sketch with the Halloween collection, I love this collection so much! And I am using it for my October daily this year!

Here is my project for today:

This is the inspiration sketch I am using for my layout

I have used the puffy letters from the kit and a big word from the ephemera to make the title of the page. Gotta love those filters haha

Behind the photo I’ve added a layer of vellum to create some extra interest. And with some of the sequins added some details to the page.

Are you making an October daily this year? I hope that I have inspired you with the use of this sketch and I can’t wait to see what you create

Happy crafting

Love Suzanne

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH LORY

Hello everyone!
It's Lory here today with a little recipe to inspire you to catch up with your past December memories before this December comes;)

I have played with the adorable and super cute Jingle All the way kit mixing it with the old embellishments I have from the past December citrus twist kit.

So let's start:)

  1. Use Journaling cards, not just to write your story but also to create your own embellishments with stickers, ephemera and a stapler;
  2. use a little tag on a picture to create your journaling with stamps;
  3. mix the following colors: white, gold, green and red ;
Are you ready?
It's my turn to show you what I have created:)

I adore the effect of the phrase stamps on the tag together a little subtitle "cozy" in gold. I have played with many tiny elements here and there to create my own composition.
Our stories matter for sure and every time I create using Citrus twist products I feel so happy and relaxed, they are so easy to use and let you have the right inspiration.

Have a wonderful weekend
Love, Lory

LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION with Nathalie

Hi there!

Nathalie here to share a bit of  inspiration with you all this Friday.  I am loving working on my December 2021 album - my choice was a Sunshine 6x8 Life Crafted album- with a combination of past and present kits and collections, however today I wanted to focus on some of the exclusive stamps and how they can easily help you document your stories with style.

Well, around here there is  a lot of food shared and consumed during the course of December.  So, I pulled a few photos for this pocket page 6x8 Life Crafted Spread.

For the pocket page, I am using two digital journal cards from the Merry & Bright Digital Journaling Card collection.   There is  a lot of red accents on the photo, so I pulled cards that will balance them.   I am  using embellishments from the Merry Making add-on kit and Jingle All The Way kit to add a small pop to each of the photos.

I used a past 2x3 stamp set to add small sentiments to each of the pictures.  There is so much going on the page, that it was best to just stamp (with archival ink) directly on the pictures.

I had a large photo to complete this spread, however due to all the colors and shapes in the spread, my choice was to conceal it under a layer of vellum.   I simply cut my vellum to the same height as the photo , but 1" wider than the photo.  This extra inch folds behind the photo to create the cover flap.

I am using the Merry & Bright 6x8 Stamp Set, and Food Love 6x8 Stamp Set to create the vellum cover for this spread.  First, I used both stamps repetitively throughout the page.   I used embossing ink and white embossing powder to add the texture and subtle image to the vellum.   To create the title of the page, I used the same stamps just on the center of the page, and added a touch of shine with gold embossing powder.  I used foil transfer gel to color one of the chipboard numbers from the Jingle All The Way kit, then added a bit of gold foil to complete the title page.

I used the Food Love 6x8 Stamp set and the black puffy alphas from the Jingle All The Way kit to add a subtitle to the bottom of the large photo.  The vellum flap covers the photo, but its translucency makes it possible to still see the photo behind the flap.

Here  is a look at what the complete layout, there is  a lot of color on the page. So, focusing on a color helps to bring it all together, and the vellum helps to give a bit of a rest to the viewer's eye.

I hope this inspires you to pull your CTK stamps to help you document your next story!

Sunday Sketch with Jasmin

Happy Sunday!

If you can see i follow the sketch 1:1.

When I saw these squares I knew I wanted to make packages. I had the perfect photo too.. yeah!

I printed my larger Photo and decorated it a bit, because the packages are the Statement.

This Layout came togehter so fast. I printed my journaling on white Cardstock and glued it on it.

I hope you likte it!
