6x8 Life Crafted Inspiration with Lory

Hello everyone!

It's Lory here today happy to share some new pages created with the adorable and super cute September Retro Mini kit, are you ready for October stories? I am and I am so excited to tell my stories.

I have told the stories of the September morning routine, wake up, going to school, having a yummy breakfast and especially I have written about how much I love to take time to observe them while they are sleeping and how much I love listening the silence before the beginning of our days. It's something so beautiful. Usually we take some selfie pics before to go to school and I love this! They are beautiful memories.

So to tell this story I have chosen a 6x8 full page photo where I added many details and a 3x4 and 4x6 page protector to add many details. The September digitals are perfect! I love mixing different embellishments together!

I mixed digitals, puffy and chipboard stickers from the kit. Love so much the effect on the full page photo. And here the right side of the spread. To finish my page I can't stop to use all the gorgeous stamps, to be true I'm making a stamp collection from Citrus Twist because I love them to the moon and back, it's a kind of obsession! The album is the 6x8 Clementine, Love it!

Stitching details in the same color palette! Lovely, don't you think?

Hope you like it and it inspires you to be creative and tell your extraordinary everyday stories.

Love, Lory

Life Crafted Friday with Nolana

Hi Everyone!

So happy to be here for Life-Crafted Friday! I really love the term "Life Crafted" because that's exactly how I love to live. We craft our lives literally and figuratively and that's really been resonating with me lately.

For today's inspiration, I created a spread about my love for Peace and Quiet - sometimes that means creating spreads in my craft room, going for a long walk or run, but now in this phase of my life it also means quick solo trips to the supermarket or fruit and veg shop, dropping in to the pharmacy to top up on supplies and little errands where I get some time with my thoughts.

I used the word Peace in the puffy sticks as the jumping off point for this spread. Inspired by my new found discovery that even though I may not get the time for a full spa day, as a new mom, I can get 15 minutes if I volunteer to do quick errands.

I chose this picture of us doing a family walk in Melbourne a few weeks ago because in this moment of the nature walk with my husband and baby leading the pack, my mom and brother in between, I inhaled deeply, and felt so at peace with the crisp air, coupled with the trickle of the creek and knowing that my family was right there with me in that moment, sharing this amazing space.

I loved pulling out the orangey, coral type hues from the kit for this spread which paired well with my photos.

I did have a couple extra photos from walking through the city early Sunday morning to get grocery supplies on our first day in Melbourne and thought it'd be fun to include these with a page protector and create a transparency element.

All in all, I really love working in my Life-Crafted albums to bring together stories of my journey- I use them as a journal of sorts and love how beautifully the spreads come together and how wonderful the scripty puffy stickers are as titles and jumping off points for my spreads.

How are you using your Life-Crafted albums to tell your stories?

Thank you for stopping by and look out for more Life-Crafted inspiration!

Love,

Nolana

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH MARINA

Hello everyone! Here's Marina and today I brought you my first page in my new 6x8 album (btw, it's a gorgeous Sea Glass color and I love it!).

Let's take a look at the sketch - it's very simple and straightforward and I enjoyed following it literally! :)

And this is what I ended up with:

Here I combined two great mini-kits RETRO & EXPLORE and added a large header at the top to balance out the composition and create a visual triangle with the photos and these beautiful floral die-cuts.

I also used our September Traveler's Notebook digital Basics and Pattern papers to create these frames and add a decorative stripe at the bottom.

Since my page tells the story of how my daughter is visited by the tooth fairy (our version in Ukraine is a mouse that takes a tooth from a special "tooth pocket" under the pillow), the beautiful clocks from the RETRO Kit say that it's time for new teeth! :)

A little touch of puffy magic here and there ;)

And to conclude, an inscription from the September Digital Cutapart Elements - oh, I love it!..

I hope that you enjoy this sketch as much as I have and I can’t wait to see what you will create!
Happy crafting!
XO

3-to-INSPIRE with Traci

Hey everyone! Traci here with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge! I love a good layout recipe, so today I'm inspiring you to use these three things on your layout:
  1. Something shiny - check out those GORGEOUS rose gold alphas on my page!
  2. Circles - I had a ton of fun using a mix of chipboard and puffy sticker circles to make my page
  3. Woodgrain - it's the time of year to incorporate allll the rich wood textures into your pages!

For my layout, I used mainly the  Retro Mini Kit and Digital collection with a few friends from my CTK stash like those gorgeous Rose Gold Alphabet Puffy Stickers!

This page was super fun to make and I tried to stick to replicating the vertical lines of the right hand side with my composition on the left hand side.

I really couldn't leave that gorgeous retro paper well enough alone, so I leaned heavily into the circles on the chipboard and puffy stickers, "capping off" each loop with a circle to make the composition more fun and coordinate with the "playtime" title.

Lastly, I added in a few more circles on the left page to draw your eye across the page! You can check out the process video for this layout below:

I hope this page inspires you to dig into your stash and make your own page! Remember to share your projects with us using the hashtag #citrustwist!

Life Crafted Inspiration with Amy

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm back to share a layout I created for my Canadian Rockies 6x8 travel album.  I have been on a travel documenting kick lately, and it always satisfying to get my stories told and into my albums. I primarily used the new Retro mini-kit along with a few journal cards from my stash. We saw so many bears, that the bear journaling card from the Travelogue kit was just begging to be used!

This layout combines two different page protector sizes for a layered effect.  I added a tab with a stamped sentiment from the new Vintage Love stamp to the edge of the smaller page protector to distinguish it from the larger layout behind it, and to allow for easy turning.

I love a good list in my layouts, so I cut the numbers from a piece of die cut ephemera to list three of the lakes we visited while we were in Waterton.  To give the journaling card more dimension, I popped the numbers up on adhesive foam dots.

I loved how the die cut ephemera, the bird's beak, and the flower centers all had the same hue.  It allows the elements of the layout to work together without appearing too cluttered.

Do you like to use different sized page protectors in your layouts?  Be sure to tag me on Instagram @alphins_little_corner and happy scrapping!

 Hello everyone!

Happy Sunday! Sunday means quality time with family, friends, crafty time, outdoor time, so it means whatever you love to do to unplug e recharge yourself, don't you think?

Today I am happy to share my entry for this week Sunday sketch! I'm going on with my September 2021 album and I can't wait to see it complete definitely.

Here the sketch

I have used the beautiful September Retro mini kit and the adorable digital files.

I started from the sketch to create a double 4x8 page for my life crafted album, I used the sketch as the starting point to create something new and tell my stories.

I played with the digital patterned papers, the journaling card, the puffy alphabet stickers. The story of the school adventure for my second boy. Love him to the moon and back.

You can find the kit in the shop together to gorgeous album and stamps :)

Hope you like it and it will inspire you to take care of your everyday memories.

Have a wonderful creative week,

love, Lory

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH KATARINA

 Hi friends!

Katarina with you today with this week's 3-to-Inspire Challenge. My three prompts for you to get your creative juices flowing today are:

1. Use a whole page photo

2. Modify a (digital) product to make it work for you

3. Add an insert with more photos and journaling.

And here's the new layout in my 6x8 Peacock Life Crafted Album that I created using the beautiful Retro Mini Kit, Retro Digital Journaling Cards and the Vintage Love Stamp.

Together We Will Make It! That's the first of my two titles and the words my hubby was telling to our son at the moment this photo was taken. It was a very strong story for me to tell and I love that I have this moment documented.

I printed a whole page photo and used the big grey space at the bottom to add words "dream team" because - these two simply ARE a dream team. For that I used the white puffy alphabet stickers and one of the scripty Puffy Phrase and Icon Stickers from the Retro Mini Kit. I embellished the photo only with one beautiful heart die cut from the Retro Die Cut Ephemera.

For the left side of my layout I enlarged one of the 4x6 Retro digital journal cards to fit in my album. I used a combination of exclusive white puffy and black foam alphas to create my title and added one of the beautiful stamps from the Vintage Love Stamp.

I added an extra insert using one of the exclusive page protectors to accommodate more photos and journaling cards with text. Then I added some puffy and chipboard stickers from the Retro Kit and called my layout done.

Hope you find my layout and the prompts inspiring and that you can find some time to create and enjoy our challenge this weekend. Thanks for stopping by, friends!

Life Crafted Inspiration With Suzanne

 Hello CTK friends,

I hope you are doing well.

Today I have made 2 pages in my life crafted album using the September kit.

For the first page I used the digital papers to write my journaling and added some lines to the edges to make them stand out better. I glued 2 pages on the right side of the paper to have an interactive element on the page.'

For my second page I used a CTK cut file that has a beautiful quote. My daughter was struggling with her match homehork and her brother was helping her. So the puffy sticker from this months kit was perfect to use!

Because I had used the tags on the right side of the page I wanted to also use them on the left, so the pages would match well together.

I colored the cut file with distress oxide and made some splatters to complete the page

I hop you have a wonderful day and find some time to document all the memories

Love suzanne
