3-TO-INSPIRE WITH MARINA

Hi, crafty friends!

It's Marina with you today with a new 3-to-Inspire challenge.
This time I used a mix of our beautiful digital files and edited them according to my suggestions this week, namely:

1. Change the palette of digital cards according to your photos
2. Use vellum or overlay
3. Spread dots for bright accents

Here is what I have created using the prompts and our awesome Digital Files:
I love creating with digital papers and embellishments because I can always pick just the right color, shade and size that I want - always a perfect match, it's just great!
I use Corel Photo-Paint for editing, but you can use Photoshop or any other program you like.

And you can also print a digital file on anything: paper, vellum, overlay, or sticker paper - I love vellum, which can not only dull down an overly bright photo, but also gently complement it.

Here I used four of our digital collections LIFE IN MOTION, SPRING DREAMSSUNSHINE and CRAVE because each of them is beautiful in its own way :)
I also added our all occasions stamps "ALL THE THINGS" and the TEAL GREEN puffy alphabet because our physical products are great too and always at my fingertips! :)

Oh, I love those little colored touches that dots give! :)

I love digitals and use them very often when creating my pages, and you can find them right HERE in our shop! :)
We always look forward to seeing what you create with our 3-to-Inspire prompts, so be sure to tag Citrus Twist Kits in your posts!

Thank you all for your attention and have a great week!
XO

Sunday sketch with Alena

Hey everyone!  It's Alena with  layout for Sunday Sketch.

Here's a look at the sketch this week:

I created the layout using the new beautiful products  :

I fell in love with this sketch as soon as I saw it. I decided to create colored triangular clusters. Digital elements were chosen for embellishment, and I also added fussy cuts garden tools. I chose puffy stickers for the title.

Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own.  Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.  I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.

3 To Inspire with Suzanne

Hello creative friends,

Welcome to 3 to inspire! The challenge for this week is:

1. Use your pocketpage cards

2. Use left over diecuts

3. Use digital elements

For this challenge I made a pocketpage, the front and back with all the gorgeous ctk products. I have filmed my process and chat about how this spread came to life. You can find the video here: process video

I had so much fun combining alle the cards and embellishments and just love how they all match so well together!

I hope that I have inspired you to get out all your products and get to you them,

Lots of love

Suzanne

Hello Friends! Marci is here with you today.  I am very happy to share the Sunday sketch with you. Here is what we will be working with this weekend.

The first thing I saw when I looked at this sketch was a pocket. I had the initial idea to make a large circular pocket on my layout and add tags with pictures and journaling inside. That is pretty much what I did. My final spread follows the sketch fairly close.

My finished project is 8.5in x 11in in size. The first step I did was to print off a few of the digital paper from the LIFE IN MOTION Digital paper collection. I made a few adjustments to the papers in photoshop elements. I needed to resize the coral paper larger. I also changed the background color of the flower paper from blue to black to match my photos. That is the beauty of digital files. You can print them as is or adjust them as needed.

Next I cut out two 7in circles and sewed them together on my sewing machine for added design and texture.  The next step was to add a title and embellish the page. I choose these two alphas sets from the shop, rose gold alphabet puffy stickers and sadie black alphabet puffy stickers. I like having the contrasting colors and fonts to bring more interest to my title.  The floral embellishments came from the Slow Days Die Cut Ephemera pack released a few months ago. Even though the florals came from another collection, the colors match the LIFE IN MOTION release perfectly!

The final step was to work on my tags. I used plan white card stock to make three tags. Two are approxiametly 3in x 4in and the other tag is approxiametly 4in x 6in in size. I printed my favorite picture for the largest tag. I then added supporting pictures to the other tag. Using one of the digital LIFE IN MOTION journal cards (which I adjusted in photoshop elements to combine the exact sentiment with the color I wanted) I typed up my journaling.

This was an extremely fun page to put together. I hope the sketch inspires you to make a project this Sunday. Remember, you can follow the sketch exactly or change it up anyway you like. I'd love to see what you create.

3 to Inspire with Jennie Garcia

Hi Friends! This is Jennie with today's 3 to inspire prompts!
The first prompt is to use packaging, tags or cards included in products or online orders. Some subscription boxes and Etsy shops add a postcard or business card that can be easily saved. The ones I added this week fit perfectly in a 6x4 pocket.

I used a paper from the Life in Motion Digital Papers for the title card. I love the pattern so I kept the card really simple. This square from the Life In Motion Digital Elements is perfect for journaling or as a label for dates. I am in love with the Foam Alphabet Stickers in every color, but here I used Sun Yellow.
The second prompt is to add numbers to your photos to document your life with lists!
I added a number to some of the photos to pair it with the journaling card with the information about each photo. It's an easy method for those, like me, who have a hard time journaling.
I love to make little clusters with washi tape, digital elements, and shaped puffy stickers like these Sunshine Puffy Heart Stickers
The third prompt is to use a neglected product from your stash. I used a brad. I have a LOT of them in my embellishments drawers. Instead of gluing down this tag (check out the first prompt), I chose to use a brad so I can see the back of the tag in the future.
To recap. the prompts are:

1. Save the packaging of a product, or a business card or postcard.
2. Use a list to document your life.
3. Use a neglected product from your stash.

I hope you find these prompts inspiring!
Take care!
Jennie

SUNDAY SKETCH with Nathalie

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today with this week's sketch challenge.  We love a good sketch around here, as it just helps to put a layout together in a short amount of time.   Let's take a look at this week's sketch:

And here is what  I have created using the new Life In Motion kit for my 6x8 Life Crafted album

As you can see I am using the sketch to create a part of my spread, then extended the look of it into a pocket spread.

I stayed true to the sketch ( with just a few little modifications) for the right side of the spread.   I started with a 6x8.5in base, then used one of the new Life In Motion 3x4 Journal card to create the large vertical paper strip.  All the colors in the card made it easy to bring the rest of the papers for the spread.  I pulled one of the Travelogue'23 patterned papers as it matched the smaller photos of the day's story.  This was used as a layer behind the photo and along the vertical paper strip.

I pulled  more papers from Life in Motion to build the rest of the layout.  Then embellished the photos with pieces from the Life In Motion Element cut-apart paper.   The sketch calls for a large title, since I have lots of color in the page, I am opting for Sadie Black Puffy Alphas to complete this side of the spread.

I elongated the design featured in the sketch by pulling a piece of the horizontal paper strip (Life In Motion Patterned Papers) to create the small instax card that sits on the same level.

I decided to also create a second instax size card that mirrors the large vertical paper strip -on the right-.  The sketch features round embellishments, I borrowed this idea to tie the two sides of the spread. The circles from the Life In Motion cut apart elements easily brought two spreads together.

I hope this week's sketch inspires you to get creative!  I cannot wait to see what you create, remember to share with us what you have created, too!
