Life Crafted with Angela

Hello friends!
It’s Angela here! I am so happy to share with you my very first project using the beautiful March Life Crafted kit called Weekender. Today, I have created a spread for my Goldenrod Life Crafted Album and it's all about flowers!

For this spread I decided to use mainly pink with just a hint of yellow, to add a bit of brilliance to the pages. I chose the pretty floral patterned paper from Weekender kit and I used it as a base for one of the two pages, the page with the photo. Underneath the photo, I placed one of the monthly cut files from Citrus Twist cut to size, so to slightly peek out from beneath.

Between the photo and the cut file, I added another layer. I grabbed one of the pink journaling card from the kit, I added a stitching along the border of the card and I cut out the inside part of the journaling card to save it for later. I added one of the yellow puffy heart and a pink tab and, as a final touch, I cross stitched over the photo and the tab using a pink thread, of course :)

The opposite page is a white piece of card-stock where I played with colors and pastes. To make it, I colored the page using oxide ink with the packaging technique. Then, using the same cut-file of before as a stencil, I added some texture paste. When everything was dry, I placed on top the journaling, previously printed on vellum. I added a few die-cuts and a stamped the phrase ‘I really needed this’ from Life Crafted Travelers Notebook stamp.

To embellish the pages I wanted to use also some of the pretty flowers from the pink paper. So, I decided to print it out from the Weekender Paper Digital File and fussy cut a few of the white flowers. I added a French Knot stitch in the center of each flower and voilà!

Do you remember the journaling card where I cut out the center? Well, I used it to create an additional little page where I added a second photo.

I’m very happy on how the pages turned out. I hope you like them too and feel inspired to create with the gorgeous Life Crafted Weekender kit. Thank you so much for stopping by.

Love, NG
