Life Crafted with Alena

It's Alena here, and today I want to share with you a new Life Crafted project.

For my layout today, I began by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the Dream Chaser cut file - one of the subscriber exclusive cut files for this month. I cut this file in half to use on both pages.

The photos were placed on layers of patterned paper and tags.

I added quite a few pieces of Ephemera, stamping, enamel dots.
Thank you for stopping by today! Please share what you create with your kits in our Facebook group and/or on Instagram tagging @citrustwistkits so we can see!

Hybrid Life Crafted with Sheree

Hello everyone!

Today I have a life crafted spread that features the super fun “Wild @ Heart” Life Crafted Kit with a little digital goodness thrown into the mix.

I love the flexibility that digital elements give you and there are just so many things you can do!  For this spread today I used the digital version of one of the journaling cards to create my grid background.  I simply enlarged the journaling card to 8 inches high in Photoshop, printed out two copies onto normal printer paper, then cut them to size to fit the background of my pages.  I also added some machine stitching for texture.

I printed out the journaling and added it to the first page then used the puffy alphabet stickers for the title.  I curved the title to suit the “Rollercoaster” theme and added enamel dots to the centre of the ‘O’s to add pops of colour.

Under the journaling I stamped the date onto a label from the cutapart sheet and layered it with one of the ephemera pieces.

The photo on this spread is terrible quality but since it was the only photo we have from this fun experience Madi had this particular night I really wanted to use it.  I layered it with a number of die cuts from the ephemera pack, including a label I stamped with a phrase from the “Wild @ Heart” Stamp Set.  I also added a couple of chipboard pieces from the kit and a paper clip from my stash.

You can see my process in the video below…

I love the mix of colours from the pieces in this kit!

Thanks for joining me on the blog today!  I hope you’re having a great week!

July Kit Love with Veronica

Hello my sweet crafty friends! Can you believe it's days away from August? I can't fathom the idea that our summer break is weeks away from ending. I'm here to share a project that I have diligently worked on throughout the year. I used July's gorgeous Life Crafted kit in my memory planner for the first week of July. These kits are perfect for all the small spaces in a memory planner. So, I'm here to share this week's spread:
I love to type on Illustrator using the traveling typewriter font and I print that onto clear sticker sheets. That's how I get the journaling so neat. I used many bits of the pattern paper and cut them to 1.5"x2.5" rectangles. I also added lots of bits of embellishments throughout this spread. I did some stamping throughout as well. I love that the stamps come with many phrases!
The right side of this "fold out" is a printed TN digital sheet and patterned paper. I enlarged it to fit the planner's right side. I then sewed it onto the planner page (see below):

I had so many photos from the weekend because we went out to a secluded beach and cypress tunnel. This demanded that I find a way to fit more pics in my planer.  On the inside of the TN page is another sheet of pattern paper from the kit. I sewed more bits and tags up top. The inside is also the planner sheet with more fun pics from the week as well:

If it looks like we are having a splendid summer, that's because we are. I have found all the secret spots in California with very little traffic and people. When we see people, we immediately move away. ha! These are THOSE  times...we are living in a crazy world right now and making the best of it!
Hope to see more memory planners out there. Please find me on Instagram for more planner pages and to share your planners with me. Find me at: veronica_creates.

Thanks for stopping by!

Pocket Page Challenge with Erica

Hello crafty friends! It's Erica here with your weekly Pocket Page Challenge. Today I am sharing a Project Life spread in my 2020 album using July's Wild at Heart kit. I picked out a lot of the warmer tones in the kit to match my photos but also tried to stay as colourful as possible!

I started with this striped 4x6 card from the kit that incorporated all of the colours I wanted to use in this layout. I added a quote and a couple flowers from the ephemera pack as a focal point, and added my week with the black puffy stickers in the kit.

I had more journaling than usual this week so I grabbed this beautiful pink card from the digital ephemera elements and used it to print my journaling on Photoshop. I also took three of the labels from the pack and added journaling to them. I can certainly write small but not that tiny!

I also printed out a lot of the digital elements to use as ephemera. The ombre 'Fresh Air' piece was one of my favourites. I printed it in several different sizes and chose the one that worked best with my food photo (and saved the rest for future projects). I love all the circle elements working together!

I then added a healthy dose of enamel dots to most of the cards, and a little bit of stamping to finish it off.

Thank you for joining me on the blog today and I hope this have given you a few ideas on how to use your July kit and digitals!

Layout & Life Crafted álbum with Marivi

Hello everyone again, today a little inspiration with this month's kits.
First a layout, I have used decorations and papers from the Add-on kit

A stitched paper band and an ephemera motif also sewn on top.

The photo in the center with a tag and several more sewn decorations, I have also left the excess thread as one more decoration.

Here you can see in detail how I zig-zag the paper.

At the bottom a strip of paper sewn with a flower and a word.

The following is a double page with a piece of paper from the Life Crafted kit, and the ephemera as decorations.

The other blank page with a phrase stamped and decorated with the butterfly and two enamel dot.

I have glued the flower ephemera on top of each other to create a bit of volume.

And to finish another double page, another paper from the kit where I have pasted the black and white photo.

To contrast the other page I have filled it with color with pieces of ephemera , and the word "photo" with the alphabet included in the Add-kit.

In the photo I have stamped a phrase with a seal from the Wild @ Heart Stamp.

For today I say goodbye, I hope you like it and see you soon.

Sunday Sketch with Loredana Bucaria - July 2020 Guest Designer-

Hi there!
Today we have a special treat for you, as our Guest Designer - Loredana Bucaria- is joining us for one last time with this week's  Sunday Sketch.     Here is the sketch she is using as inspiration for her page...

and this is what Loredana has created using the July kits...

She has used a combination of the Wild at Heart Life Crafted and July Add-on kit to create her page.  The construction of her page remains as shown in the original sketch.

She has added a bit of mixed media to the background, and distressed the edges of the paper strips to add interest to the layers.  Just love all the texture she has added with the sewing thread!

She is using blue ink in her stamping and splatters to accent the colors in the layers and pictures.  we just love how she used the sketch on this beautiful page.
Remember to follow Loredana at https://www.instagram.com/loredanabucaria/ to check more of her amazing projects and be inspired by her work.

3-to-Inspire Challenge with Nathalie

hello everyone!
Nathalie with you today with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge.  Each Saturday we host a creative challenge that offers 3 prompts as a starting point for a new project.  This week's is sure  to be a fun one with infinite possibilities.  Here are the prompts:

  1. Use a Grid
  2. Create an Embellishment Cluster
  3. Stamp a Title
I pulled the July Kits, stamps and digital files to create my page using the prompts...

I love grid style layouts as they are symmetric and let's you add multiple pictures.   So, i pulled a few of the pictures and sized them to fit into my Life Crafted page.   I wanted all the details to pop, so i chose a patterned paper (add on kit) as the base for the page.

Once i had my pictures in place, i decided to replace one of grids spaces with a large embellishment cluster.  I used some of the cut apart elements, digital tags, ephemera, labels and enamel dots -pretty much a sampler of all the kit's goodies-

I used one of the Wild at Heart Digital Traveler's Notebook  digital files to add my lines of journal.  Once i printed it, i used the new Madison Stamp set and Bailey 4x6 stamp set to create the title of this page.   The journal page was then glued to the background, and then i added a smaller embellishment cluster at the bottom of the page.

I hope this has inspired you to start a new project of your own using the prompts as a starting point!  remember to share with us what you create, we love to see how you use the prompts in your projects.
