3- to-Inspire WITH NATASHA

Hello CTK friends! A new month is here bringing a brand new mini kit, "Explore", and I am here to kick off this month's 3-to- Inspire challenge! For today's 3-to-Inspire recipe I have selected:

1. Tiny Words Explore Stamp

2. Assorted 3mm washi tape from the Life Crafted Explore Mini Kit

3. Puffy Sparkle Stickers from the Explore Puffy Stickers

For this layout in my Memory Planner, I envisioned creating a stamped background using a variety of word phrases from the Tiny Words Explore Stamp set. I selected a few sentiments that reflected my weekly moments and stamped the tiny word several times in a cluster to be able to create a background for the photo. Using the same ink color throughout helps with building a cohesive look throughout the whole spread with the color and balance.

After my stamped backgrounds were completed, I started building onto these stamped clusters. Using a combination of ephemera from the Explore Mini Kit along with a coordinating patterned paper from my Citrus Twist Kit stash. I wanted to stick within a selected color palette, so I used pieces that I thought worked well together.

I utilized the washi tape, as if it was stitching done my a sewing machine. For each photo that really brought me joy this week, I tore a small strip of washi tape and overlapped it on my photo and onto the page. I love the look of stitching in layouts but without a sewing machine I am always looking for ways to accomplish a similar look without it. As this washi tape is so narrow I think it does the job beautifully!

The last item I selected in my recipe for this memory planning layout are the small sparkle and tiny starbursts puffy stickers from the Explore Puffy Sticker sheet. When pulling a layout together, especially a memory planning layout with lots of photos from various events often with varying colors and lighting, I am always looking for ways to pull it all together. Similar to the use of the repeat stamping in the same ink color, I used these small puffy stickers to help pull my selected colors around the two planner pages. I think of them as sprinkles like on a cupcake- it is such a small detail but makes a huge impact!

With so many beautiful products from this release, I encourage you to try my 3-to-Inspire recipe or create your own. Narrowing down your supplies is one of the best ways to really use your supplies, fight the overwhelm that can sometimes come around when documenting, and most importantly get your cherished memories down in your albums. I promise you, it's easier than you think using the Life Crafted products.

Memory Planner with Alena

 Hello friends!

Here is my new spread in the Memory Planner format.

I like to use digital journal cards here. I just resized them and added them to the template.

First used in this format cut files . I like the result.

For embellishment, I used Ephemera, stickers, stamps, printable cutapart elements.

Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.

July Kit Love with Veronica

Hello my sweet crafty friends! Can you believe it's days away from August? I can't fathom the idea that our summer break is weeks away from ending. I'm here to share a project that I have diligently worked on throughout the year. I used July's gorgeous Life Crafted kit in my memory planner for the first week of July. These kits are perfect for all the small spaces in a memory planner. So, I'm here to share this week's spread:
I love to type on Illustrator using the traveling typewriter font and I print that onto clear sticker sheets. That's how I get the journaling so neat. I used many bits of the pattern paper and cut them to 1.5"x2.5" rectangles. I also added lots of bits of embellishments throughout this spread. I did some stamping throughout as well. I love that the stamps come with many phrases!
The right side of this "fold out" is a printed TN digital sheet and patterned paper. I enlarged it to fit the planner's right side. I then sewed it onto the planner page (see below):

I had so many photos from the weekend because we went out to a secluded beach and cypress tunnel. This demanded that I find a way to fit more pics in my planer.  On the inside of the TN page is another sheet of pattern paper from the kit. I sewed more bits and tags up top. The inside is also the planner sheet with more fun pics from the week as well:

If it looks like we are having a splendid summer, that's because we are. I have found all the secret spots in California with very little traffic and people. When we see people, we immediately move away. ha! These are THOSE  times...we are living in a crazy world right now and making the best of it!
Hope to see more memory planners out there. Please find me on Instagram for more planner pages and to share your planners with me. Find me at: veronica_creates.

June Life Crafted Memory Planning

Hello sweet crafty friends! Veronica here to share a spring memory planning spread. In these uncertain and trying times it sure is hard to plan anything. I've used my planner as a memory planner instead. I use photos and words to document our everyday. I've been memory planning all year and I love that I have all these memories jotted down in one place. I created this week's spread with the Life Crafted June kit and let me tell you...this kit's colors were perfect for this week. The yellows and blues....be still my heart.
Here is a look at the left side:
I added some stitching to some of the printable tags that come with the kit. I also used up some of that bright yellow pattern paper. I stamped the phrases and icon using black ink:

I love that the kit comes with a set of labels because I love using labels. I stitched some more to give this side of the spread some more dimension and then I added a chipboard heart. We have finally been given the okay to gather with 10 or less and we immediately had a pool day/BBQ with cousins.

This other side of my planner had so many pictures that I decided to create a fold out. I used 3x2.5" photos of my mama's garden. I then glued them to some of that gorgeous yellow pattern paper again so that it would all tie together.

Here is the fold out in action:
The fold out was a long 9x2.5 strip of paper. I folded the paper at 3" and then glued my photos on to the back side and added a label and paper tag on one side:

I also added some other photos from the week on this side. A Sunday drive, and my love for snow cones and pineapple matcha drinks from Starbucks.
Hope you all enjoyed my fun memory planner spread. Now to catch up on the next couple of weeks.

Hybrid Memory Planner & Life Crafted with Patricia | Video

Hello CTK Friends!  Hope you are loving the May Journeys Life Crafted kit as much as I have.  I have found this kit to work really well with at home photos these days.  Since staying home, I have changed to a weekly memory planner format, since I have more photos than I normally would.  I am using the Retrohipmama digital planner.

I print the calendar in the PDF form to get a blank calendar.  I go through the week of photos, and print them using Lightroom to the size needed to fit the calendar.  Then I used Photoshop Elements to use the Citrus Twist Kits digital cards to size them to fit on the calendar.  Retrohipmama also has that template.  I do find I have to trim them down a little more to fit.  I add my journaling to them, print and trim to adhere.

Next, I start stamping and adding from the Life Crafted kit.

I have two other projects to share here today using the May Life Crafted kit.  This project was shared earlier on Social Media and my YouTube channel showing how I use the CTK digital elements, both PNG and a simple print and cut.

I love the look from the April pattern paper over that PNG file here, then printing it over the physical May pattern paper.  All the elements on top are the free Stay Home print and cuts available in the Facebook Fan page, except for the flower die cut from the kit.

The card is from the kit, and the 'covid 19' is the print and cut.

I used the new Daytripping stamp with my 1" photos.

Then added more print and cut and kit elements to finish.

You can watch my video with screen shots of how I used the digital elements and how this came together in HD on my YouTube channel here or below.

My last project was for the Stamping Challenge for NSD.  I also used the free NSD CTK digital elements in both print and cut and cut files.

A close up of the mix of cut files and print and cuts.  The stamping is with the Daytripping stamp.  So many great uses for the stamp set.  Here I continued the image by connecting it as a stamped across the page, changed the direction of it, and also stamped on the May Life Crafted pattern papers and detail cut out.

I attached the house and button NSD cut file available in the Fan Page to the May Life Crafted card.

Then used another kit card for my journaling and added a print and cut and kit sticker to finish.

Here is the video process of how this came together in HD or you can watch it below.

Hope these ideas inspire you to use this kit for our current memories as well as your traveling memories!

Memory Planner with Alena

Hello friends!
Here is my spread in the Memory Planner format.

This year I decided to document our life in this format. I didn't know where to start. But after making a couple of spreads, I developed my own algorithm for the process .

To start, I save my photos in the size of 5"X7". Then I use Photoshop to add a photo to the template with dates. Along with the photo, I add text, sometimes I use digital cards for PL.

The result is printed on two sheets of matte A4 photo paper. Then begins my favorite process-embellishment. I put stickers, die cutting, stamping....
 Thanks for stopping by!
