Sunday Sketch with Marivi

Hi everyone,

Today I bring a layout for which I have used April 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on kit.
I have placed the photo on top of two sewn papers and I have adorned it with various ephemera details, puffy stickers and splashes.

At the bottom I have sewn two different strips of paper to finish.

The title this time is small, a label.

In this detail you can see that I have also sewn the background paper.Sometimes I like to leave the excess thread as an ornament, I don't cut it.

You can see a quick video on how i put this together as follows:

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH VERONICA

Hello my sweet crafty friends,
I really hope you're hanging in there. I know we are trying our best to keep moving along with a positive spirit! I created a traveler's notebook with all my memories from this new normal of ours. I hope I can inspire you to do the same! Here is peek into my book using the April Life Crafted Kit.

My 3-to-Inspire list for you is:
1. Stamp for a background
2. Use a piece of chipboard
3.  Layer Photos
Here I used the "beautiful sunset" chipboard to point out that gorgeous purple sunset we experienced last weekend. The night was gorgeous! The kids have been playing a whole lot more outside, and I love it! I also used some stamps from the kit to create a background. I repeated the stamps "Evening, sunlight, stars and the night is alive" on the left side. It's subtle but simply perfect!
On the other side of the spread I layered a small 2x2" photo of a flower from our backyard onto a large 4x8" photo of some dandelions I also found in our yard. There is beauty all around!

I hope you enjoyed these 3 to inspire and I also hope you give them a try. Hope you have a crafty day!

Life Crafted with Diane

Hi everyone, Diane here with a really quick spread in my Life Crafted album.

I had created this black and white photo strip in Photoshop using a few really poor quality photos I took one night. Converting photos to black and white is an instant way to disguise poor quality! But because I now had neutral photos, it meant I could go any direction as far as a colour scheme.

I loved this peachy coloured floral paper and decided to embrace the kind of vintage, shabby style. I trimmed out the lace part of another paper, punched the edge with a border punch and stitched the two pieces together to add some texture. Then I adhered both pieces to my background.

I matted my photo with a scrap of a peach coloured paper and then used some craft foam to adhere it to my page for a bit of dimension.

I decided where my title was going to go and then ran my background card stock directly through my typewriter to add my journalling. The title was a little too bright so I added some gesso on top of the gold to tone it down a bit and add to the vintage feel of the page.

I created three points of interest by adding some chipboard pieces and some splatters of coral and called the whole thing done!

Here's a look at the process this layout took ...

Traveler's Notebook and Life Crafted with Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  I think the April Night and Day Life Crafted and Scrapbook Add-On kit are perfect to document these Stay At Home days.  I remember going through Hurricane Katrina, but I did not document through it or hardly take photos.  I'm looking at this situation differently, and although so many unknowns and concerns, I'm taking photos when I can!

I was first inspired by the This is Life AM/PM stamp set to create a new Traveler's Notebook using them as my cover.  Such a fun set!  I used new embellishments from the kit as well on my cover.  That tiny star is from the Add-On kit.

I also stamped the first inside page using the Life Crafted kit stamp set then used the Life Crafted embellishments to finish it.

Now for the first full spread in my new album.

Using just the Life Crafted kit and the new Spring cut file (just the flowers), I documented a school field trip.

I printed three photos in different sizes, keeping the one larger as the focal, then worked around the photos with the cut file, stamping, and kit contents!

This is one of favorite ways to do documenting is to visual the photos I want for each page and decide what size I want them so that I can add my journaling and other details.

I have one more spread to share using the April Add-On kit this month.  I have a video of the process on the Citrus Twist Kits YouTube Channel here.

These 'at home' photos were not taken during the Stay Home for COVID-19, but definitely could have been, so hope this shows how you work through some of these memories and be creative at the same time.

So inspired by the new This is Life AM/PM stamp set!  Love how you can get creative with it as I did here making clouds from the moon, and documenting by highlighting the time of day!  I used that frame image to add my journaling!  Love that I can do that.

I added stamping from the same stamp set along with the stamp included in the Life Crafted kit to stamp right on the chipboard labels from the add-on kit.

This is a new favorite kit and stamp set for me!  And I think my most favorite spread!

You can see how this spread came together on the Citrus Twist Kits YouTube channel here

Thank you so much for stopping by, and love to you all during this time!!

Life Crafted inspiration with Marivi

Hello again, I hope you are all well and from here I wish you the best, we will get out of this soon.💪

I bring three projects, two made with the Life Crafted "NIGHT & DAY"kit on the LC Album.

In this I have used several papers combined with each other and with the photo. It is a small collage and some decorations to complete.

The second project is a LO, for which I have used LC Night & Day and Add-on-kit.

One of the LC kit papers as a background. The title and trimmings Add-on kit.
At the top a rivet with the same paper and as it did not reach me I have added another little piece.
I have also sewn with a sewing machine and a few staples.

The third could not be easier, as the protagonist, in addition to the photo, that precious paper that asked not to be cut.
A pair of chipboards and you're done.

I hope you like them and inspire you to create.
See you soon.

Pocket Page Challenge with Lisa Varshine

Hi guys! I'm back with another pocket page challenge today. There are so many ways that the theme of this month's kit is helping me document this really unique (to put it lightly) time in our lives. I decided to use the hourly PL cards to give a snapshot of what our new normal looks like.
For this page, I included snapshots of little things around the house that are making me happy right now. I wanted it to be a quick and easy page, and I consciously chose NOT to include any photos of the kids or myself.
I included a lego house my daughter built, a chalk drawing from our many hours spent outside, the bookshelf in the playroom, and a messy plate I was using as an impromptu paint palette.
I used the digital files of these hourly cards to enter little details about our schedule. That allowed me to include more information than I could have fit with handwritten journaling. This was a very simple page with very few chipboard embellishments, but I still love the story it tells.
I'd love to challenge you guys to put together a similar page as a little act of gratitude. I hope you all are healthy and happy, surrounded by family right now.
