Life Crafted with our February Guest Designer - Jessy Christopher-Tham!

Hey again! I'm back with another post sharing with you what I created with the Life Crafted Album.

I wanted to add some embellishments onto the cover, just to make it fancy! So I went with some die-cuts that I grabbed from the February Life Crafted kit. I'm really obsessed with those cute butterflies and all the hearts.

I decided to add circle punched vellum to add more texture to the cover. And the doily sure gave the contrast for the overall look!

Here are the pages that I created for the sleeves. I really loved working with smaller canvas sometimes. It's just perfect for mama like me to complete little pages without spending too much time.

Those acetate sentiments are just perfect to use along with these pages. The advantage on working with a kit is that you have everything matched for you and your projects will look cohesive especially working in an album.

Here are some close-ups:

Thank you for letting me share today! Thank you Trina for this amazing opportunity to guest for CTK.

Sunday Sketch with Anna

Hi dear CTK friends! Anna here with you today bringing you this week's CTK Sunday Sketch. I love all the CTK sketches but this one is right up my alley. Hopefully you will love it as much as I do so you will play along with us.

Let's have a look at this super inspiring sketch. Love it!

And here's what I came up with using both the February Life Crafted "Love Stories" and the Add On kit as well. Also I've used the "Love" cut file from the CTK shop which fits just perfect for this sketch as you can tell.

I backed those oversized letters using a few gorgeous patterned papers from the LC "Love Stories" kit. Pure happiness!

Don't you love those Dear Lizzy "New Day" enamel triangles from the Add On kit? I'm in love! I finished my page of with some splatters of color mist.

Oh my heart be still, those puffy heart stickers are truly amazing.

And there you have it! Be sure to grab your papers and glue (or whatever you use) and join in playing along with me. I can't wait to see your goodness on our CTK Fan page (or/and if you use Instagram #citrustwist/@citrustwist us)

3-To-Inspire with Adele

Hello lovelies!

I am up today with a fun and interactive 3-to-Inspire challenge. I decided to try something that I don't often use on my pages - hidden journaling!

I challenge you to include these items on your next layout:

1. Hidden journaling,
2. Acetate pieces, and
3. A tag.

I matched the excitedness I was feeling in this photo with lots of fun, bright colours and circles galore!

By creating a large pocket, I was able to easily slip my journaled tag in and out of my page.

I am sad to announce that this is my final project as part of the Citrus Twist DT - I have absolutely LOVED my time on the Creative Team and will still continue to subscribe to the kits so I don't miss out on any of the gorgeous goodies!

I have created a process video showing how I used the three challenge items, I hope you enjoy it!

Life Crafted with Kira

Hey there!  It's Kira and I am back with a double page spread in my Life Crafted album.

I started with a story I wanted to tell about my kids, that went a little something like this:  we were all playing with Play-Doh one day.  And my youngest son brought his brother a tomato he had made out of the little molds we have.  My oldest told him thank you, and the little one responded "welcome!"  He has a speech delay so I get excited to hear little words and phrases that indicate any sort of understanding or improvement in his speech.  So I said, "Aww, baby said 'You're welcome!" to which the little one responding, "Baby so cute!"  It was such a cute interaction between us all, that I just had to document it.

Luckily, I had a photo (from a different day than the story) of my youngest son playing with Play-Doh that I thought went perfectly with this story.  I backed the photo with some of the papers included in the "Love Stories" Life Crafted kit.  One of my favorites is the yellow floral!

On the opposite page, I used the "definition paper" from the LC kit.  I thought it brought out some of the blacks and greys in my photo well.  I also decided to pull it in to the page on the left side as well.

I added some stamping with the circle heart stamp (part of the Love Stories stamp set) in pale pink.  And I kept my embellishing simple, using just a few butterflies from the die cut pack.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

xo, Kira

Meet our February Guest Designer - Jessy Christopher-Tham!

We are so happy to share our February Guest Designer with you - Jessy Christoper-Tham!  We've been so lucky to have her create two projects for us this month and today we're excited to share her first project, a beautiful 12x12 layout!  You can see more of Jessy's stunning work on her blog and Instagram!

-----------------------------------------

Hello there. Jessy here to share with you a layout created with the February Life Crafted kit. As always before I picked out my supplies, I will sure draw inspirations from the photo. For this layout, the flora designs on my daughters' Chinese costumes gave me inspirations for the overall look.

I started with pleating ruffles with tissue papers. The ruffles sure added interesting textures to the layout. Next, I positioned the 2 patterned papers. They were carefully picked to match the photos.

Then I positioned the photos somewhere in the middle. I added doilies to further enhance the girly feminine look I was going for.

To complete the layout, I adhered all the cute butterflies and other cute details like chipboard stickers, acetates and cute sentiments all around the layout.

It's always fun to create with any CTK kits, really! Thanks for joining me today!

Xoxo Jessy

PL Challenge with Alena

Alena here with  Pocket Life Challenge for you!  In my spread I used the wonderful February 2019 Life Crafted “Love Stories” Kit

I like to use pastel / white cards for my Project Life. This allows me to add a variety of embellishments.

So, my challenge for you:

Add as many titles and phrases as possible to your spread.

Very good-looking pieces of acetate. You can place them on top of the photo. You can play around with making little clusters of ornaments or just keep things really simple with a single stamped image. The possibilities here are endless!

Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.

3-to-Inspire with Anna

Hi dear CTK friends!
Anna here with you today to host one of my favourite challenges, the 3-to-Inspire, YAY!
I think it's so inspiring and a perfect kick of to start playing with my stuff.
Hope you will join in and play along with me , can't wait to see your goodness.

Here's my promts for this week.

1: Pick up one main color from your photo/photos and stick with that, not necessarily in a monochrom way but mainly your chosen color.
2: Use ephemeras/Die-Cuts
3: Incorporate stamping

And here's what I came up with using my three prompts and the February Life Crafted "Love Stories" kit.

I think you can tell what color I went for, lol! And i opted for a pretty monochrom page as well. Don't you love those triangle enamels? You find them in the beautiful February Add On Kit. Eye candy!

My next prompt was use Ephemeras/Die-Cuts and you find lots of them in this months kit, both Cardstock ones and in Acetate. Pure awesomeness.

More Ephemeras, love to use them in layers and look at those Enamels again, so shiny and beautiful.

My third and last promt for this week is stamping. I've used the lovely CTK Life Crafted - This is Life - Heart & Soul stamps. You find them in the CTK shop.

Here's some of the fabulous Acetate Ephemeras. I love the bright and happy colors in the pack.

And there you have it! Hope you find it inspiring and also I hope to see your take on this weeks edition of 3-to-Inspire. Be sure to share with us on the CTK Fan Page and/or tag us on Instagram #citrustwistkits @citrustwistkits so we can give you some love <3

Thanks for stopping by! Anna xo
