Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!  It’s Sheree and today I have a new Life Crafted spread to share with you using the gorgeous November Gratitude Life Crafted Kit.

I’ve been wanting to document this photo of the beautiful flowers that appeared on a little cactus that one of my sons gave me for Mother’s Day earlier this year.  The flowers were such a happy surprise and to have two bloom at once was so lovely!  I thought the Gratitude Kit was a perfect match for this project.

I used the digital version of the ‘Today’ card so that I could add my journaling to it in Photoshop and print it out.  Then I simply added some stitching and a chipboard circle, then stamped the date using the date line stamp from the new 2” x 3”Life Crafted stamp set.

I chose the pretty floral journaling card to go underneath the ‘Today’ card.  I turned it upside down so the floral image was at the bottom of the card, then stamped “Oh My” and a phrase from the Life Crafted Gratitude stamp set.  I also added a tiny word sticker with some stitching and a chipboard arrow to finish it off.

On the large photo I created a little cluster in the top right by adding a “love this” chipboard circle along with two tiny word stickers and some stitching for a little texture.

The gorgeous glitter alphabet stickers from the kit were perfect for adding the title down the side of the large photo page.

You can see my process in the video below...

I’m so happy with how this spread turned out!  The colours in this kit are just so beautiful!

Thank you so much for joining me on the blog today!  I look forward to sharing another project with you soon.

Sunday Sketch Challenge with Nathalie

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today with this week's Sunday Sketch Challenge.   It is starting to feel like the most and busiest time of the year.  With so many activities happening, time for documenting our life is diminished.  Here is where sketches come in handy as they give you a map to construct your page, then add a fun kit , and it takes no time to put pages together.  This is the case for the following, but before we continue let me show you the sketch:

I was so inspired to work with the sketch as it lends so easily for different formats of documenting that i just had to use it on a layout and my Life Crafted album.  Let me show you.

This month's Scrapbook Add-on kit is gorgeous, filled with autumnal colors and designs and perfect to document a few memories from the first CTK Retreat.

I stayed true to the sketch this time around, but decided to add a layer of mixed media instead of paper as the bottom layer of the page ( the stencil is from Finnabair and Vicki Boutin Rose Gold glaze).

While the glaze dried, i pulled papers from the Add-On kit, and created the layers behind the pictures.   I chose a paper from Pebbles -This is Family- as the base for the layers as it contrasts with the rest of the papers, then cut papers from Pink Paislee and Maggie Holmes to match the layers in the sketch ( and even used my sewing machine as the sketch suggested).

I chose to replace the tickets/labels in the sketch with flowers (from Pink Paislee's Again and Again collection ) included in the add-on kit and then added pieces of the Cut-apart elements to create the clusters as the sketch shows.   I chose to add a few sentiments to the page using gold ink and the Life Crafted and Traveller's Notebook stamp set.   To finish, I just added my title and all my journaling as the sketch suggested.

I love how easy  this came together, so i decided to use the same sketch for one of my entries in my Gratitude Journal (Life Crafted Album) using this month's Life Crafted Gratitude kit and its digital files.

I chose to use a hybrid approach for this page - so, this came together in less than 20 minutes-.   First, i flipped the sketch 90 degrees which set my two pages in place.

I pulled the November Digital TN papers and printed the BEAUTIFUL purple paper to match the size of the Life Crafted insert (5x8.25") , then also printed the star paper and all the cut apart elements that are in the page.

This time, i chose to replace one of the paper layers and second picture  for a screenshot of my flight itinerary ( let's just say, I made Trina lose her Ferry spot, and delayed our arrival to the Inn by a few hours).  However, i built the page as suggested by the sketch and replaced the stitching with stamped sentiments from the Life Crafted and Traveler's Notebook Stamp sets.

For the other side of the layout, i chose to use the digital Cut Apart elements to create the cluster of labels and tags on the page -these were enlarged to balance the journal on the bottom of the page, and then printed separately).   I pulled the This is Life:  Grateful Digital stamp to help me create the title for the page.  Once again, i finished the page by adding stamped sentiments and Purple embellishments from the Life Crafted kit.

Love how easy these pages came together using the sketch as the starting point.  This month's kits are just so beautiful that it was so easy to mix and match pieces, and then there is the digital files that complement the kits.  Now it is your turn to be inspired by the sketch!  Don't forget to share with us what you create, we love to  see your work.

Remember to check the kits (take advantage of the Subscription offer!) and all the digital files available at the CTK Shop.   If you have questions about these pages, please do not hesitate to contact me!

3-To-Inspire with Marsha

Hey friends!  Marsha here today with this week's 3-To-Inspire Challenge.  I have created a layout in my Life Crafted Album using the beautiful "Gratitude" Life Crafted Kit and the This is Life "Grateful" Stamp.

Here are the prompts:

1. Use stamps
2. Use a cut file
3. Use puffy stickers

Here's the project I created:

For my layout today, I began by using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the Grateful cut file- one of the subscriber exclusive cut files for this month.  I modified it slightly, removing the screen outline and florals and enlarging the word.  I used white cardstock for the cut file and backed the letters with a variety of patterned papers from the LC kit.  For the base of my page, I used another piece of white cardstock, trimmed to fit in the album.  The cut file was then adhered to the page, and I used some stamps from the Grateful Stamp to complete the title.  Because I knew I planned to use the kraft patterned paper for the other side of the spread, I added a thin strip of it to the edge of the page.  This helped to make the pages of my spread more cohesive.

To build the other side layout, I began with a white cardstock base and added the kraft patterned paper from the kit.  I love the typed sentiments on this paper so much and really did not want to cover up any of it!  I added my photo to the page and did some additional stamping using the Grateful Stamp.  This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, because it includes great sentiments and amazing florals.  What could be better?

To finish off the spread, I used the vellum ephemera pieces, chipboard stickers, and puffy stickers to embellish.

Here's one final look at the layout:

Thanks for stopping by today!  I am excited to see your take on this 3-To-Inspire challenge.  Be sure you share it with us on the CTK Fan Facebook Page or on Instagram using #citrustwistkits.

Life Crafted with Amy Jo

I'm so excited to be sharing this layout with you today, I have loved the November Life Crafted kit so much, and those letter stickers especially!  I'm so glad I found the right layout to really feature them.
I started with a full 4x8 pocket on the right and a 2 - 3x4 pocket on the left.  It didn't quite give me enough space for all the photos that I wanted to include, so make sure you stay with me and see how I managed to get 3 photos into this layout.

I always get nervous adhering big titles down, especially when they cover up a photo, so I found a great solution, I  put them on a large piece of acetate instead of directly on the photo, so you can see it all together (above) and you can also lift it and see the whole photo (below).  This is a great way to adhere big stickers that you are nervous about, or might want to move around (I trimmed the acetate last so that I would be able to place it right where I wanted).

Here is a look with the acetate fully over onto the left side, so a clear view of my cute little pup!

In order to add the 3rd photo, I made a little flip up with some tape (taped down the long edge) to reveal the last photo of my Mom with Max, and then there is some journaling on one of the cards underneath as well.

The last thing I did to complete this layout was add some puffy stickers, there were so many good ones in this kit that it was harder to choose which ones to leave out than which ones to include!

Thanks for checking out this unique layout in my Life Crafted album!

"BeautiFALL" Life Crafted with Tina Stepanova

Hello CTK friends!

It's Tina here, and today I want to share with you a new Life Crafted project I made using the beautiful November "Gratitude" Kit.

I decided to combine documenting one of our recent hikes and gratitude journaling as this month's kit is perfect for both of these. So I started by decorating the photos of the first layout with some kind of title at the top using glitter alphabet stickers and a "time to unwind" puffy sticker. Next I trimmed a 3x4 journaling card to fit into the lower pocket of a page protector #3 and printed my journaling on it.

After that I cut out the quote from the turquoise journaling card and adhered its words to the butterfly card. And that's it, the first layout was finished.

On the back of the butterfly card I printed my gratitude journaling (I must say I did it before I adhered the quote I was telling you above). And then I added a cut apart purple label and a puffy sticker at the top of another photo of my family.

For the last page I chose a page protector #1, trimmed a piece of white cardstock to fit into it and created a fallen leaves pattern using die-cut vellum pieces from the kit. To add a little bit of dimension to the leaves I punched holes along the middle line of each leaf and hand stitched them with a mustard yellow thread. In the end I added a few chipboard pieces in the upper corner of the photo and created a title with glitter alphabet stickers.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Until next time!

Christmas Stories with Lorilei

Hello!  Thank you for joining me today for my second post using the Christmas Stories Kit (2019) from Citrus Twist Kits!  Today I am sharing some fun pages I made for December using the kit.

I placed all the numbered squares from the Pink Paislee cut-apart sheet into pockets to give me an idea of "busier" days I know we have already scheduled for December.  I decided to print a few photos from last year to give me an idea of how I wanted the album to feel and how I would decorate it with the kit.

I decided that I will most likely include multiple photos onto a 4x6 print on days that have more photos.  I will add embellishments and stickers to go with the photos.  I added a little string of banners below the photo on this page and paired it with a Heidi Swapp journal card.

On the next page, I used four tags from the Pebbles cut-apart sheet and attached them to white cardstock with brads so that they swing-out.  I can include some hidden journaling or small photos under the tags!  I used the branding strip to decorate the top and bottom of the page.

These tags are so cute!!

On my next set of pages I paired a large photo with a cluster made from a Pink Paislee sticker, a pebbles cut-apart banner and a white snowflake with a tag using the gorgeous Pink Paislee paper.  I will add a 3x4 photo to this size of tag with some typed journaling.

I added an eyelet to the banner for extra detail!

Sometimes the simplest cluster of embellishments is all you need to pretty up your photo!

The more I use the Christmas Stories kit, the more I love it!  You can find it in the Citrus Twist shop!  Happy scrapping!
