Pocket Page Challenge with Erica

Hey guys! Today I am sharing the second Pocket Page I made with the beautiful Night & Day kit. For this spread I wanted to highlight a really amazing weekend I had at the beach with my family. It's mainly focused on the bright fun colours of the day, but also has one card to bring out a few of the night elements.

For my title card I added an ephemera piece and a few labels. This kit didn't have alphas so I used some Citrus Twist ones from my stash for the week. To bring it all together I stamped some of the adorable stars from the AM/PM stamp.

I'm not afraid to add ephemera to busy photos. On this photo of a great meal I added circle embellishments to compliment the round plates. Almost all of these elements are from the April Cutaparts!

I also used a cute tag from the Night & Day Digital Tags and layered it on a card.

I had a few small 2x2 photos leftover from another project and I didn't want to waste them, so I popped them onto a 4x6 card I altered in Photoshop. It was originally a 3x4 card, but I experimented with doubling it and placed them side by side. Then I erased the middle until they fit together. 

I love including real pieces of ephemera like movie tickets into my spreads. I didn't make a pocket for them this time, but I mimicked the shape using a die cut from the April Cutaparts and stamped the perfect sentiment!

3-to-Inspire with Erica

Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well. Today I have another set of fun challenges for you to take on in your memory keeping. Your three recipe ingredients are:

1. A long title

2. Experiment with buildable stamps

3. Strips of paper

The first challenge I have for you to use a long title. Try combining different fonts and sizes to make it interesting. I was inspired by the "night" ephemera die cut as my center piece and simply added different sized alphas to finish the title.





Your second challenge is experiment with buildable stamps. I'm using the journaling spot from the AM/PM stamp. You can customize the look and tailor it to your preferences. I've used it in multiple projects this month and each have come out with a different look!





Your third challenge is to use strips of paper on your layout - whether it be leftover scraps or new papers you just can't wait to cut into. Try layering them and experiment with texture - ripped edges and roughing them up - to create a fun background.

Pocket Page Challenge with Krystal

Hi everyone, Krystal here with this week's Pocket Page Challenge. I was so excited to dig into the Night and Day kit and use it in my Project Life album! It's absolutely gorgeous, and I can't wait to show you how it turned out.

But before I share all of the details, I wanted to challenge you to try the following three things:

1. Layer your embellishments to make them work for you

2. Add stamping to further personalize your embellishment clusters

3. Add hidden journaling 

Okay, now onto the details!

For my title card, I chose to use this beautiful floral paper from the kit. It tied in all of the other colors on my spread and added a lot of pattern. I brought in some white alphas from a previous kit to add my title, then embellished with a few of the gold puffy pieces from this month's kit. 

This week I had more 3x4 photos and only one 4x6 photo, so to make the 3x4 photos work in a 4x6 pocket, I paired them with a 3x4 card from the kit and backed both the photo and the card with an index card from my stash. This way the smaller bits won't float around in the larger pocket. 

I love adding layers of embellishments on top of my photos. And there were so many phrases in this kit that worked perfectly for documenting this week! For this photo I combined a piece from the Digital Cutapart sheet with a die cut and a little chipboard circle from the kit. I love how it turned out!

The bottom pocket was another 3x4 photo and card combo, and I used the same trick to make it fit the 4x6 pocket. I also added some hidden journaling behind it using the grid paper from the kit. I numbered three of my photos with the white alpha set, then stamped 1, 2, and 3 down the side of the paper using the Outline Alpha stamp. Now I have a lot more space for all of the stories I wanted to tell this week without having to sacrifice room for photos. I also added a tab to the top of my hidden journaling so that future me will know it's there. 

For the bottom left photo, I layered one of the tickets from the Night and Day Digital Tags with tag from the cutapart sheet. I added a stamp to personalize it to my story, then finished it off with another gold puffy heart. I just can't get enough of those hearts!!

I also added some stamping directly to one of my photos. I love doing this to photos with a lot of blank space in them. This photo of our foggy backyard was a perfect candidate. Stamping on photos can be tricky, so I suggest playing around with different inks until you find one that works for the photo paper you use.

Hello scrappy friends! Shannon here with a 3-to-Inspire post to get those creative juices flowing on your next spread. This pocket page spread uses only the April Night & Day Life Crafted kit so grab your supplies and let's get crafting!

My 3-to-Inspire list for you is....
1. Document a routine
2. Use puffy leather
3. Make a cluster

I'm such a morning person so I knew I had to document that with this kit. These photos are from various days over the last 3 months but they all help tell my story! For my first item, I documented my typical weekday morning routine. I adjusted the times to match my schedule. The times have changed every school year for the last few years so this seemed like a great way to capture the details right now.

My next item is to use puffy leather. I used it three times on my spread. The neutral color lends itself well to any color scheme and the sayings are really versatile. There's no doubt in my mind that my entire pack will be used up in no time! I love puffy hearts and puffy stickers - now I'm adding puffy leather to that list!

Finally, I challenged you to make a cluster. Clusters are one of my favorite things to create. The ephemera in the Life Crafted kits are perfect for making multiple clusters. On this page, I layered up multiple kit pieces to create the cluster. I created my own saying using a stamp, a tag (from the printables), and puffy leather.

Finally, I'll leave you with a photo of my journaling. I always enjoy reading others' journaling!

Spring Magic with Krystal

Hi everyone! Krystal here with a spread in my Life Crafted Album using the brand new April "Night and Day" Life Crafted Kit! This kit is filled with so much goodness, I just wanted to keep making things with it!

For my first project, I decided to create a page documenting some spring blooms a dear friend sent to me. I started with two pieces of white cardstock from my stash, which I cut down to 5 in. x 8.25 in. to be the same size as a Life Crafted page protector. I used one of the cut files available this month to start my title and cut it from the pink patterned paper from the kit. I love the way the bright pink pattern stands out on the crisp white background.

To finish my title, I added one of the gorgeous gold puffy phrases from the kit, overlapping it slightly with the cut file. I added some die cut flowers and leaves from the ephemera pack in the kit and a chipboard heart as embellishments. Then I stamped "wake up & smile" below my title to finish off this side of the spread.

The other side of my spread holds my photo. I wanted to make sure that I added all of the colors from the title page to my photo page, so I started by adding lots of layers behind my photo. I used the scraps left over from my cut file to start, then added the beautiful vintage-looking paper behind that. Then I brought in the navy paper to add some weight and finished off the layers with another peachy-pink paper behind everything else. 

I also created two embellishment clusters around my photo. I used a few of the tickets from the digital Cut Aparts, as well as a couple labels and another piece of chipboard. 

I added some stamping to the labels using both the stamp from the Life Crafted Kit and the Traveler's Notebook Stamp. Then I finished off this side of the page with a couple of gold puffy hearts. 

I'm so in love with how this page turned out! It just screams spring to me. Mostly I'm glad that I was able use this kit to document the sweetness of a friend during a rather dark time for all of us.

Hello dear friends!
April is here!  It is time for a new season, and though  we are all facing a new reality -one we never could have expected- there is always the little things.  Those are the ones we want to focus on, to celebrate, to help you document.

Our April Life Crafted kit, NIGHT & DAY is a combination of a soft color palette, versatile designs and as always lots of heart.  This month's soft focus are all the stories that happen daily.  We are sure that you are going to enjoy documenting your memories with it.
