LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION with KERSTIN

Hello! Kerstin here for this Friday's Life Crafted Inspiration! I love the Back to Basics Digital Papers! I combined them with the Citrus Twist Exclusives Die Cut Ephemera and some older products. I had a lot of fun creating these pages for my Life Crafted album - let's take a look at what I came up with!

I cut tags from the different - beautiful - Digital Papers and sewed them on my pages with my sewing machine. This would not have been necessary - gluing would have been enough - but ... I wanted to do it.

I decorated the different tags with embellishments from the Back to Basics Die Cut Ephemera and older Bits and Pieces.

My journaling I wrote on a vellum tag and included my son's photo .... he left us/me to start his education .... I have also cut and sewn as a tag.

Here I show you more detailed photos of the decorated tags!

A simple idea to keep my memory in my Life Crafted album. Citrus Twist products - Digital or Physical are always amazing for capturing moments!

I hope you like my idea as much as I do!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you feel inspired to get creative with your Citrus Twist Kit products and your Life Crafted Album!

Kerstin xx

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH ETTIENE

Hello friends.  I'm here today with a page based on this beautiful sketch.

I used the sketch to create a spread in my life crafted album by splitting the sketch in between the photos.

For this layout I used the Back to Basics Mini Kit, Skylands Mini Kit and Back to Basics Digital Papers

I used the sketch to create a spread in my life crafted album buy splitting the sketch in between the photos.

I decided to change the orientation of the first picture to vertical mimicking the space on the sketch for the photo and journaling.  I decided to add my journaling behind the photo on the tag because I thought adding the journaling below the photo as in the sketch would throw off the balance when I used the larger photo.

I then added a couple of clusters around the page and my title. I love how the Back to Basics kit mixes beautifully with my other supplies to create this project. If I inspired you to try this sketch I would love to see your projects.

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH DIANE

Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited to be here to share my 3-To-Inspire challenge for March using the fabulous "Back To Basics" collection! This collection worked perfectly with my photos from a recent trip to Disney. The three items I chose to work with are:

Life Crafted "Back To Basics" Digital Journal Cards - March 2022 (Also the Digital Elements)

Citrus Twist "Back To Basics" Puffy Word, Phrase and Number Snippets

Citrus Twist Puffy Alphabet Stickers (Yellow To Pink Fade)

Here is the layout I created with these products:

I knew immediately when I saw all the florals in the kit that this would be perfect to document our trip to Walt Disney World to go to the Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot. The title card was made using both of the 4x6 journal cards that come in the digital kit. I fussy cut around the florals and added them on top of the green stripped card. The Flower and Garden words came from some ephemera that I brough home from the trip. The title card instantly set the mood for the page!

I used the Puffy Word, Phrase and Number Snippets to add some black around the page to go with the center "Loving This" card. There were touches of black in my photos so this helped tie everything together. I always love adding some black to a bright page, it seems to make the colors pop.

Lastly, I used the digital cards and elements to add some journaling and embellishments around the page. I always love this step! I mostly kept to yellow, green and pink which feels like spring to me!

I truly can't get enough of this kit! That's one thing I love about digital, I will be able to use it over-and-over again!

I hope you will play along and use these products to document some of your stories! If you do, please tag me so that I can see them!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION WITH ASHLEY

Hi friends! It's Ashley and I'm here today to share some Life Crafted Inspiration, for March, with you! I recently picked up the new Raspberry Life Crafted album and I LOVE the color! And it was the perfect album color to coordinate with the new March Back to Basics Mini Kit!

We recently went to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, and even though it's not Spring yet, some of the gorgeous Camellias were blooming. The March Mini Kit has some beautiful floral ephemera pieces and I knew they would be perfect with my photos. I decided to arrange my photos across both pages of my layout and create a "garden" border below them with a mix of the ephemera pieces.

I wanted to add some interest with the ephemera pieces, so I adhered some of them with pop dots. The dimension makes the cluster more pleasing to look at, since all of the pieces aren't just flat on the page. I also wanted to bring in a bit of texture, so I added some enamel dots to the center of the hearts and included a puffy phrase sticker.

Since I had such a heavy cluster at the bottom of the layout, I decided to create one at the top of the layout too. I used some of the chipboard pieces from the Back to Basics collection with some ephemera and puffy stickers to create a cluster at the top left of my layout.

I finished my layout by adding a title with the White Puffy Alpha Stickers. I wanted them to stand out from the background paper, so I added some Spun Sugar distress oxide ink under the floral cluster. Then I placed the letters over the ink, across both sides of the layout.

You can find all of the products I used in the full March Back to Basics Mini Kit or purchase them individually in the Citrus Twist Kits shop. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you were inspired with some fun ways to use your Life Crafted products!

Sunday Sketch with Desiree

Hello CTK friends! Today I am here to share a sketch that I could not wait to get started on. Let's take a look at the sketch.

The sketch is lovely on its own but the Citrus Twist Kits March exclusives made me really excited to bring this sketch to life.

I started with white textured cardstock on a pink pattern background. In place of the pattern at the bottom of the sketch, I opted for a few brushes of pink acrylic paint and splatters.

To create my circles, I used two papers from the Back to Basics TN Paper Digitals. To create interest, I cut several larger and smaller circle sizes to layer on each other.

Next, I layered the Back to Basics Florals throughout my circles. The Back to Basics Puffy Word Phrase and Number Stickers were perfect to continue the black and white theme throughout my layout. To create the smaller cluster at the top of my page, I layered on a few paper pieces, and florals.

I continued to layer more Back to Basics Ephemera and Back to Basics Chipboard  Stickers to the page. Once my layout was ready to be completed, I added two titles to my page. I used the "Happy" phrase from the Fresh Starts Puffy Phrase Stickers and Back to Basics Puffy White Alphas to make my "Snow Day" title.

I am truly loving the simplicity and versatility of the Back to Basics Mini Kit. I can't wait to create more projects with it.

3-TO-INSPIRE with NATASHA

Hello CTK friends,

I’m here today with a fun journaling process using the brand new Back-to-Basics collection for today’s 3-TO-INSPIRE challenge. It’s safe to say that I am absolutely obsessed with this new mini kit. I think that this is a fantastic collection no matter what type of paper crafter you are and it works so well with so many other CTK Exclusives. The three items I am highlighting today in my morning creative meditation journal are:

To begin I used the hearts from the ephemera data pack to create a highlighted accent for my numbers for the days of the week. I selected hearts with different colors and sizes and staggered them throughout the layout. I paired the hearts with the newly re-released Bailly Alpha Stamp set which is a total must for all planner girls and creative journalers. As you can see I also used the same stamp to create a fun header to highlight February and March with a repeated stamp pattern. It's a simple detail but adds to making it my own.

When setting up my journaling for the week, I always want to think of creative spots I can add my journaling to keep it interesting. I like to have a balance of the plain white space of the page to add in my journaling along with structured elements like I have here using two different digital journal cards that are part of the Back to Basics digital cards. I also included some whimsical elements to add my journaling to with some hand drawn boxes as well as some pops of color using Distress Oxides and Mildliners for more featured journaling.

Lastly but probably my most favorite part of my morning meditation journal outside of the mindfulness practice is having the permission to have some creative play like I have created with the clusters using florals and word strips from the date cut pack and strips of the trimmed down digital journal cards.

I highly recommend if you’re looking to start a daily journaling or meditation practice to do some pre-work upfront to encourage you to return to the layout to add in your journaling for the day. This especially helpful if your time is limited in the mornings, doing some work upfront can really help in developing this habit that is so good for you and your mental health and great chance for that creative play with Citrus Twist's beautiful products.

If you decide to try any of these pointers in your creative journal or planner, be sure to head on over to the Citrus Twist Facebook group to share your project. We would love to see what you create! And of course, don't forget to swing by the shop to see all of what this release has to offer!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Life Crafted Inspiration With Aimee

Hello there my Citrus Twist Kit friends! It's Aimee here with you today for this week's Life Crafted inspiration! This week I combined the new Back to Basics kit with a bunch of older citrus twist exclusives and stash products to make my own curated kit! It was so much fun to do— so let's take a look at what I came up with!

I just love how easy it is to combine different Citrus Twist products and releases. All the products and colors just seem to go together without effort— this makes setting up your own "kit" a breeze. On the right side of the layout I pulled 3x4 Inch cards from the Everyday Life journaling card set to use as layers behind my photo and then got to embellishing.

I am a sucker for a blue, pink and yellow color palette so I did just that— pulling pieces from different collections that would work together. I combined chipboard arrows from the Back to Basics arrows, hearts and clouds chipboard sticker set with die cuts from the Butterflies and Tags die cut ephemera pack to create a cluster under my photo. The scripty die cut  word gives the page just the right amount of whimsy.

I dug deep for additions to the left side of the page and settled on pieces from an older collection called, "Little Things" that some of you may remember. I used a beautiful pink paper from the Little Things 6x8 inch paper stack to create my own 3x4 filler card. I machine stitched around the edges and topped it with a die cut piece from the Butterflies and Tags ephemera pack.

Then, I found the perfect journaling card in the Little Things 3x4inch journaling card pack that invited me to label all the pieces of my heart! I added a fun puffy sticker from the Back to Basics Puffy Word Phrase and Number Snippets sheet right on top and it's absolute perfection!

I just love how easily this layout came together using all my beloved Citrus Twist products! I hope this inspires you to dig deep into your stash and maybe make your own kit, too! Mixing and matching products is not only a ton of fun but also helps us to use what we have— which can be hard to do when there is always something new being released! So, let's get back to the basics!

Affectionately,
