I'm thrilled to be sharing a photo packed Christmas layout today, using the gorgeous Glitz Finnley 6x6 paper pad from the December Pocket Life kit! While designing my Pocket Life pages using this month's kit, I stayed on track with my album weeks and used the crisp, rich colors to my advantage in highlighting autumn photos. But, when it came to this layout, I wanted to play up the greens and reds to take a trip back to last year and scrap five of my favorite photos from the holidays.
I had noticed a fellow scrapper on Instagram using patterned paper flags for a banner in a different way and immediately was inspired to do my own version, strung on CTK packaging baker's twine, to accent this page design. I simply used my banner punch, folded over a bit of the top edge with some adhesive and added Silhouette shapes cut from glitter paper for a bit of sparkle. Love the little woodland creatures, too!
The page was completed with cardstock sticker accents from this month's PL Embellishment kit and a title cut again from glitter stock.

Playing with Pocket Life with Jen...
Happy Friday to all! I am currently in the midst of a mad dash to the Christmas finish line (with hardly any shopping completed!) and also a move to a new home. Creating with my CTK Pocket Life Kit always gives me the few moments I need to take stock of what's really important and have a bit of down time. And December's kit? SO fun! My pages came together in record time. While the kit can certainly be used for holiday pages, I went back to document one of my favorite fall weeks and the colors were absolutely perfect!
During week 41, we made the most of the beautiful autumn weather here in New York and spent a morning on a historic bridge over the Hudson River, now a walkway. The bottom two photos are favorites snaps of my children at home that week.
The right page includes scootering at the park, a trip to the farmer's market, baking and cuddles.
This week was photo heavy and I was having a challenge fitting in my journaling. Normally when this happens, I use a vellum pocket or slip a tabbed journaling card behind a photo. This time, I decided to make my first flip card - simply used the PL kit washi tape to create a hinge between one of the exclusive cards and a plain grid card. The top of the flip sits outside of the plastic sleeve.
And here are your sketches for this week...enjoy!

Playing with Pocket Life with Jen
Happy Friday to all! This week I am sharing my Week 39 in my yearly album. It was a week packed with activities, stories, aqua and pink. I had so much fun playing with the November PL and PL Embellishment kits!
My left page focused on things happening at home: a note about my boys being morning people, my new ironing routine for my oldest son's school uniforms, play time, collecting baby girl clothing and a note about stray socks.
The right side was about what happened outside: visits to a local nature center (aren't the floral and butterfly patterns perfect for these outdoor photos?), my 20 week anatomy scan, family breakfast at a favorite diner and a sweet quote from my oldest about his baby sister-to-be.
I absolutely loved this frame pattern and wanted to maximize its impact by using it for my weekly date card. I simply used my craft knife to cut out the inside of several of the frames and added other snips of patterns from the 6x6 pad and a glassine pocket of sequins to the back. Then, layered the kit washi tape on a few other openings, stamped my dates on a label and tucked that partially inside another frame. The finish was the 39 using the fun, glittery Thickers from the PL Embellishment kit.
The 1/2/3 exclusive wood veneers were a super fun inclusion and I wanted to make them stand out. This week, as I was writing out the conversation between my husband and son I knew the three would be a perfect accent to highlight G's age (journaling card is a printable freebie from my stash). I colored the number with a pink Sharpie pen and then added the coordinating hot pink butterfly paper to the top of the card.
And here are your PL sketches for the week. Enjoy!

6x6 Paper Play with Jen
Good morning all! This month was a blast working with the PL kits and Polka Dot Party papers. I'm sharing a layout today using the 6x6 paper pad in the November kit.
I snapped this photo of my youngest son at a nature center, as we played peek-a-boo around a tree. Each time he would catch sight of my camera he would yell, "Cheese!" What a character. So, using the camera print was a perfect fit. I had held on to the aqua doily from one of the summer CTK kits and it was just right for the colors in this collection and playing off my son's cobalt shirt. I punched one of the chalkboard sayings from the paper pad to add to the center of the doily.
The "make me smile stamp" is one of my favorites in this month's set so, I used that as a border, accented with another chalkboard pattern snippet and a glittery asterisk from the Thickers in the PL Embellishment kit.
And, lastly, a fun title using the Thickers, enamel dots and phrase stickers in the PL Embellishment kit layered over the negative space in my photo and coordinating paper patterns.

6x6 Paper Play with Jen
Hello all! Jen here to share a 12x12 layout created using the amazing CP Flea Market 6x6 paper pad in the October Pocket Life kit. Our oldest son started preschool this year, with much excitement, and it was a memory I wanted to capture without delay.
I started with the notebook lined paper that I've hoarded in my stash forever and finally had cause to use. He is in a private program which requires uniforms - white tops and navy blue bottoms - so, the navy and white polka dot print was simply perfect as part of my background!
I wanted those school colors to stand out so, used the graduated teal paint strip paper to ground the dot pattern, cutting stars from the strip using my Silhouette, and backing a few stars with the cool, neutral wood grain paper. I added his initial using a Thicker from the PL Embellishment Kit.
Two of the October Pocket Life stamps paired together state "Today was the best." - the final little touch needed to finish my Silhouette cut title.

Guessing Game #11: Playing with Pocket Life with Jen
Happy Friday! I'm thrilled to bring you another Pocket Life guessing game before our big October kit reveal. I had so much fun working with the Pocket Life and new Pocket Life Embellishment kits, along with the Stamp Add-on. These kits are fresh, fun, pretty and a little bit bold (can you say hot pink?).
This week we took a big step and listed our home for sale. I used a vellum bitty bag cut with my Cameo, a piece of the 6x6 pad along with some of the fun kit embellishments, and letter stickers I had in my stash. The pocket helped me include a photo, journaling and our realtor's business card. All things I want to remember about that day!
Two young children + summer = a lot of outdoor park play and plenty of photo opportunities. I used two of my favorite black and white Instagrams from the week to create these 3x4 cards. The arrow wood veneer was a little long for the spot I chose so, I took my scissors and snipped off a piece. Simple!
This weekend, I had a rare Mom's Day Out scrapping with a friend. Definitely an event to be recorded! On the second card, I documented one of my boys' favorite books right now. They had damaged the dust cover beyond repair but, this drawing of Max was still intact and a perfect fit for a journaling card! I simply backed it with a piece of the 6x6 pad, printed a quote from the book on a CTK label and added an embellishment.
You still have time to leave a comment for a chance to win a $5 GC to the CTK shop. Simply leave a kit product guess on this post...good luck!

Playing With Pocket Life with Jen
Happy Friday to all! Today, I am sharing Pocket Life pages made with the September "Favorites" PL Kit, the "Big Deal" Embellishment Add-On and the "Weather Report" Stamp Add-On. For this week 31 spread, I embraced pink! A rarity for me but, the happy, summer photos begged for that lightness and the softer colors in this months kits obliged.
The star wood veneers in this month's PL kit are simply delicious! I wanted to maximize their impact by playing up the shape so, cut a 3x4" star background out of one of the Hello Again papers using my Silhouette, then backed it with another star-like pattern. With a smattering of the veneers and some of the Dear Lizzy stickers (alphabet from a past CTK kit), I'm calling this one of my favorite homemade filler cards to date! For the photo card to it's right, I simply layered a piece cut from the "Happy Little Moments" exclusive 3x4 card on the bottom portion of my picture, added a bit of twine and another two Dear Lizzy cardstock stickers.
When I found out the stamp add-on this month was a weather set, I was thrilled! Weather is an every day event, after all so, I knew it would get a lot of use. On the card below I simply stamped the rain and sun stamps to an adhesive label from my stash and used a colored pencil for check marks. That watercolor chevron on the right? LOVE. Although, I'm normally a straight line journaler, I went ahead and followed those lovely zig zags this time.
The exclusive 3x4 cards in this month's PL kit are beautiful! The one below was an immediate favorite. I just added a piece of the people chain border from the Hello Again stickers in the Embellishment Kit, along with one of the center hearts, to symbolize our family of four.
For this week's date card, I used the fun chit-chat print from the 6x6 pad as a base, added one of the awesome vellum pockets from the Embellishment kit (and slipped in a card with extra journaling on the back), a snip of the subtle pink pattern and a piece of the heart border sticker from the Dear Lizzy sheet. "Hello August" was cut from vellum using my Silhouette.
And, here are some sketches based on these pages...enjoy!

Guessing Game #4: 6x6 Paper Play with Jen
Hello all and welcome to day #4 of our September kits guessing game! Today, I'm sharing a layout created with the 6x6 pad and elements included in the Pocket Life kit, as well as some bits from the Embellishment kit. The fun colors and playful patterns in this month's kit were a perfect match to these photos of my husband and boys being silly and playing peek-a-boo from behind a tree at the park. Since there are black and white elements in the papers, I decided to convert my photos as well.
For the title, I used a vellum Silhouette cut along with white BG alphabet stickers from a past CTK kit, layered over two snips of patterned paper - a punched circle and rounded rectangle.

Pocket Life Friday with Jen
Happy Friday! I'm sharing week 25 of my Pocket Life album here today, using the beautiful August PL and Embellishment kits:
For this week, I chose to use the light blues, aqua, yellows and oranges in the kits to pull together my Greek vacation photos - the cool of the ocean and the warmth of time with family and our excursions. This was our last week of vacation and bittersweet as we said goodbye to loved ones and our favorite place for a year or more. There are so many incredible detailed bits in this month's PL kit - the exclusive cards, grey and white washi, Star & Bee wood veneer hearts and the Queen & Co. Goosebumps were among my favorites.
I enjoy combining my kits with a few digital elements and Silhouette cuts which you can see best on this first page. The date card was created digitally from a number of elements on my hard drive then highlighted by alphabet and accent stickers included in the PL kit. The teal double heart, hello arrow and quote card cuts were made with my Silhouette.
The "This is where I want to be" card about sums up this spread. Already missing our time in Greece and so happy to have had such wonderful memories to document.

6x6 Paper Play with Jen
Today I am sharing a layout focusing on the BG Carte Postale 6x6 paper pad included in the August Pocket Life Kit. Inspired by so many of the included patterns, I knew I wanted to use large pieces to maximize their impact on my page, while the scaled down prints would still allow my photo to shine. One of my new favorite pictures, this is my husband and son celebrating their shared Greek name Day this July.
"Xronia Polla" is a celebratory phrase in Greek, wishing "many years." I used the orange Thickers and a sticker border from the Embellishment kit, along with the OA letters, a wood veneer heart, washi tape and my heart stamp from the PL kit to create the title section.
Our CTK + Star & Bee exclusive wood veneers and 3x4" card added just the touch of love I needed to finish off this page.

Playing with Pocket Life with Jen
Happy Friday! Today, I'm sharing a two page Pocket Life spread from our family vacation to Greece in June. This month I worked with the July PL, Travel Add-on and Stamp Add-on Kits. July could not have been a more perfect match to document our time on the beach.
The rainbow chevron from the 6x6 paper pad had to take a starring role in this spread. It's just so pretty and happy! I paired the bold pattern with a title and arrows cut from my Silhouette, a OA Travel Girl flash card from the add-on, a label for my dates and a few accent enamel dots to bring it all together.
I love adding memorabilia to my pages but, let's face it, computer generated boarding passes aren't the nicest looking bits of ephemera. My solution? Cut a vellum bitty bag using my Silhouette, back it with a patterned paper card and embellish the front. The boarding passes are still accessible and slightly visible yet, much easier on the eye. And, we actually did fly with KLM...thank you OA Travel Girl Miscellany pack (Travel Add-on) for being spot on!
The OA Travel Girl tidbits in the PL kit were irresistible! I ended up using a tab and circle bit on the card, along with some washi, a little anchor Silhouette cut and stamps from the add-on to record some memories of my children and the beach.
I hope you've enjoyed a little peek at Greece in June! Here are this month's sketches:
