3 to Inspire with Leigh

Hello friends! Leigh here, with my last project as a Citrus Twist Kits Design Team member. I have loved working with the gorgeous and exclusive kits, and the CTK Sketches are the best!

Here are the three items for today's challenge:
1) tulle
2) staples
3) puffy stickers

We got lots of puffy stickers in our kits, so I thought now would be a good time to use them. The title above is a puffy sticker too. I like that the circles in the background paper repeat the shape of the ornaments I hand-lettered for our tree.

Here is a close up to try to show the tulle on this page. I know it is hard to see, but I cut three to four circles and layered them and stapled them off-set over the printed circles on the background paper.

I cut tags from the kit paper and layered them over the black and white American Crafts text paper in the background. The tag on the far right has some type-written journaling, and the title goes below that. Splash on some splatters, if you like.

Another close shot of the tulle layers and the staples. Thank you for joining me today, and I can't wait to see how you use the three items in this challenge.

Hugs,
Leigh

Hi everyone, Alena here!
I'm here sharing my pocket pages created with the August 2015 Kit  +August 2015 Sprinkles Kit.
This spread is my favorite. I also added a few embellishments from the June PL Kit.

Another spread:
I have several photos of the process.
I like to mix pages  3x4  and 6x8.

I hope you are inspired to create something with your CTK kit today!

Be inspired- capturing summer

Hello and happy Thursday! The summer has started and it looks like for many of us it's the best time to capture some memories on photographs! The days are longer, we are outside more often and there are just so many colors and opportunities to press our camera's shutters. Looking through the Pinterest I've found some fun ideas for summer pictures which I'd love to share with you today :)

1. Capture your favorite summer fruits!

2. Snap photos of your bare feet with cool pedi!

3. Take advantage of beautiful summer morning and afternoon light

4. Document your summer rituals and traditions

5. Have fun and be creative with your photos!

We are looking forward to seeing your beautiful summer pictures on layouts showing up in our gallery! Have a gorgeous summer!

Be Inspired With Sandy

Today I'm taking inspiration from product styling photos I see on pinterest and applying the ideas of arranging a collection of things to my layout. Those things are the Crate Paper chipboard pieces from June's Day Tripping Embellishment Kit. With a wide range of shapes and sizes to chose from, I let a limited blue-green colour palette guide my choice of which chipboards to use. Once I'm sure of the position of bigger items, I fill in the gaps with little embellishments like chipboard and resin stars and stamped words.

Be Inspired with Tanya

Hi there! It's Tanya and I want to share my project using new June "Seriously Happy" Add-On kit! Have you seen it? Isn't it gorgeous?! So recently I came across one beautiful picture on Pinterest and decided to use its composition on my layout. I reflected it vertically.

I used Allison Kreft Capture Life (Echo Park) paper sheet as a background. Bokeh effect is very popular these days :) And those cute little frames are cut from Inked Rose Frames (WRMK) patterned paper including the frame around the photo.

I glued the arrows from the Favorite Things Ephemera kit (Heidi Swapp) the white side up to add the dimension on my layout and in the same time not to increase the weight of my composition with lots of bright spots.

Be Inspired: blackboard trend!

Hello and happy Thursday! Don't you think that some trends seem not to finish? They change and continue from season to season and every time look good. I have this feeling about the blackboard trend. We used to see it on Pinterest a lot and I feel like new inspirations and images representing it continue to showing up. Today I want to focus on it mixed with a pop of color- which is a great way to incorporate blackboard trend to summer creations!

The blackboard mixed with some colors was my main inspiration for this layout made with a mix of May CitrusTwist Kits. I used here bits and pieces from "Sparkle and Shine" "Happy Horizons" and "Happy Girl" kits and instead of using a black paint I cheated a bit and created background of my composition with a blackboard paper.

How do you like a blackboard look? Do you like mixing it with colors and use on your layouts or you would rather choose softer color combinations?
