National Scrapbooking Day - Part 2!

Welcome back to another day celebrating NSD!  As mentioned in yesterday's blog post we are hosting our NSD Challenges up on the Citrus Twist Facebook Fan Page so be sure to follow us there!

Yesterday we had four (4) new challenges for you to join in on and our Design Team created some amazing projects to inspire you.

Kelly and Kristel started our day with this fun stamp challenge!  We just love both their projects!

Next up it was Anna and Candace with another scraplift challenge!  Scraplifts are always a favorite for everyone.  Just pick your favorite project from a DT member and "lift"it!

Our next challenge is a fun one and it's all about color!  Pick your favorite color and make it shine on your page.  Or create a page about your favorite colour.  We love the layouts Veera and Ginny (our May Guest Designer) created for this challenge!

National Scrapbooking Day - Part 1!

Welcome to the Citrus Twist International Scrapbooking Day for 2018! We love celebrating NSD and we've tried to come up with a bunch of fun challenges for you to play along with.  The Design Team have gone above and beyond with their projects this year and I hope you'll join in with the celebrations (and be in for a chance to win some of the fun goodies we have as prizes!).

We thought it might be fun to share a recap of each days challenges on the block this weekend, plus share a few sneak peeks of what is coming up ;)

For your last challenge, I challenge you to create a layout in a size that you're not typically used to making.  For example, if you typically create 12"x12" layouts, create a 8.5"x11" layout instead!

I created this layout in a size that I typically don't scrap in:  6"x8".  This is going into my travel album dedicated to my most recent travels to Tokyo, Japan (which you'll see more of in my PL posts this month).

It's a simple layout in which I layered some of the cut-apart papers from the 6x6 pad over a full sheet.  I didn't want to cut apart the full sheet because I loved the quote that was on it.  The size of the sheet ended up working out perfectly with the size of my layout.  Then I added some fussy cut  elements plus some embellishments from the PL kit.

My challenge for you is to use mini word phrases, stamps, and thickers in your journaling.  In the main kit there are some fun little phrase stickers and also your exclusive stamp.  Just have fun mixing the fonts to create your journaling.

I also used the small enamel dots for the periods at the end of the sentences.  It's hard to see the stamp but it says "delight".
