Mixed PL spread: layout and some pockets

Hello!
Mira here and today I will be sharing PL spread where I combined regular 12x12 layout with a pocket page. Take a look:

When I became a Pocket Scrapbooking lover I stopped creating regular 12x12 layouts and I really don't have an excuse for that! I thought it would be nice to have layouts and pockets side-by-side in my album so I decided to go for it!

All about my daughter Ola and her worm-toys...

I wanted this LO to be the most important part of my spread, so I changed the size of 12x12 pocket page protector into 8x12, filled it with pictures and only a few embellishments. Added a little note with the whole story, and this was it!

I used: July PL and "Instalove" Embellishment Kit with beautiful "Moment" stamp from Citrus Twist Kits "Sunshine Adventure" stamp set designed by Jessy.

Hope You enjoyed my inspiration!
Guys... Don't forget to add regular layouts to Your PL albums!

Have a great day!

Delightful with Christin

Christin here today to share one of my layouts with the July main kit + Sprinkles kit.

Christin G Delightful CTK 01
For my background I started dropping different colors of mists and Aladine iZink Pigment Inks (in Citronella, Rose and Gold found in the CTK store) I chose yellow as my main color to go with the Citrus Pink Paislee paper in the kit.  These pigment inks are have very rich pigments and are excellent if you want big drops with lots of color.

I hope you can find the time to go through and find the gems in the CTK shop waiting for the next kit.

Tuesday Tutorial with Mira

Hello!
It's Mira here today with simple tutorial about how to add some interesting effect to Your Pocket Albums using transparent page dividers.
Let's get to work!

You will need:
transparent film
permanent white ink pen (or gold/silver/other)
embellishments (I used gorgeous October Afternoon Daily Flash Stars and Hearts thickers from July PL Kit)
office punch
First - cut the transparent film to the size that You want and punch the holes to add it to Your album.

Then start drawing (or writing) on the film:
Create the pattern on the whole divider:
And add the embellishments on top:
Then You can sew them into the foil:

In another approach You can write the sentence again and again on the film or even go further and write the whole story there:
You can also leave the film clear and only attach some embellishments in the middle:
I kept my dividers clean&simple, but You can attach as many embellishments as You want! Go crazy!
I hope You like this simple idea for Your Pocket Albums.
Don't forget to share Your dividers with us if You create one!

Have fun!

Sunday Sketch with Aimee

Hi, Aimee here and I am hanging out with you today for the Sunday Sketch. I’ll the the first to put my hands up and say I am not that great at sketches, but I must admit I am pretty proud of this one.

And here is my take:

I haven’t taken a lot of photos since I became pregnant, so when I saw I drew the sketch with 6 photos I was really stuck for ideas. I was bemoaning this fact to my husband when he jokingly suggested I take screenshots of the game I play whenever we are stuck waiting for doctors appointments, scans and tests - So I did! The 6 photos are of the postcards you get in Two Dots when you finish a stage and this my friend is no mean feat. Each stage has about 40 levels and they release another stage once every month or so. Even though I have finished the game for this month, next month I will have a whole new challenge for my 20 week scan.

The sketch it self has been stripped back to it’s bare bones. I always find it easier that way. Then you can decide what is really important and what is just embellishing for embellishment sake. I decided very early on that I wanted to play up the Two Dots theme with a row of two dots down the right side with the papers in this months kit that best matched my photos. I was really happy with the effect, but it left a lot of white space, So I decided to add some texture and interest by sewing down a strip of the paper bag our kit comes in. I’d like to say my messy stitching is a design feature, but the truth is I couldn’t sew a straight line if my life depended on it.

Oh while we are talking about texture - How awesome is the denim in this months kit! I used a small cut of it to back the white alpha title to great effect. It just adds another layer of 'cosy' to the spread. If I am really honest this layout doesn’t photo nearly as well as it looks in person. The paper from the bag, the messy stitching, the wood accents, the water colour splashes and denim all have a very tactile vibe. It really is a layout you want to touch.

Well that about wraps it up for me today. I really hope you will give this sketch a go and I am dying to see how you all used this months kit. Did you find it as warm and cozy as I did?

Three to Inspire with Diane

Diane here with another "3 to Inspire" challenge. You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

Your prompts this week are:
    1.    Use black and white photos.
    2.    Use a limited colour scheme.
    3.    Use a numbered list.

Here’s my take on this challenge:

For my page I started with the washi stickers in the July Sprinkles kit. After cutting my card into squares, I places the stickers around the page, varying the orientation. Then I added my photos and my list journalling, then I stamped my title using the Kelly Purkey Outline Letters stamp. I added a few enamel pieces for accents and I was done. A simple reminder of all my favourite things!

Now it's your turn! Use the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us here in the gallery and/or our Facebook Forum. You can also upload to Instagram, but remember to tag us @citrustwistkits. Looking forward to seeing what you can do!

Beach Adventure Mini Album by Jessy

Hello there!! Jessy here to share with you a mini album I created with the July Scrapbook Main kit + Sprinkles kit + my stamps that I created for Citrus Twist Kits too.

This 5"x7" mini album is pretty easy to put together. Firstly I cut 11 pieces of white cardstock into 5"x7" as the album base. Then, I cut the patterned papers slightly smaller than the base & pasted them on. Once I've decided with all the position of my papers & photos in the respective pages, I begun to work with the composition of each page. I kept each page almost the same look so they look cohesive.  I played around with the embellishments like stickers, stamps, brads & acrylic pieces that you can find in the kits. Finally, bind the pages together with a ring.
