Hi CTK friends! It's Emma on the blog with today's 3-To-Inspire challenge! We love to share this challenge every Saturday for those of you that are looking for a little extra push to get scrapbooking, or those just looking for a challenge (and the chance to win a little something is a nice little bonus!).
I hope you'll join me this week using the following prompts:
1. Use three (3) different pattern papers
2. Have atleast two (2) die-cuts on your layout
3. Use a black & white photo
And here is the page I came up with!
I have used the Savannah Main and Embellishment Kit on my page. I just love those Dear Lizzy die-cuts that are included in this months Main kit - there are so many cute/fun elements.
My page started with the papers - those pinks/peach colours are just gorgeous and matched up with a few of the die-cuts perfectly. I added one darker pattern for contrast and hand-cut it to shape (star-burst kind of thing) then machine stitched it all together.
I used the white cardstock that's included in the Main for my background - I thought with the 3 patterned papers at the top anything more would make it seem a bit too busy.
The bike die-cut is a perfect fit for my 6x8 sized page so I centered it along the bottom of my page which filled all that empty white space as well!
To finish the base of my layout I just typed my journaling up on the computer (using a typewriter font) and printed it out on white paper than popped it just above the bike die-cut.
And that's when the fun really started! Embellishing is my favourite process of any layout - I love adding all those little bits and pieces!
I cut one of the cardstock stickers (moments like these) so it would fit onto the back wheel of the bike die-cut. Then I popped a few of the puffy stickers ontop (those little flower in the basket are my favourite haha).
To finish it off I popped a few of those star enamel dots (in matching colours! Love how the extra's in the Embellishment Kit can coordinate with our kits!) around my page and called it done. It's a super fun and bright page and I love how it came together.
Now it's your turn. Use the three (3) prompts to create your own project and share it with us on our Facebook Fanpage! I can't wait to see your take on this one :)
Take care, Em xo
