Sunday Sketch with Jasmin

Happy Sunday everyone!

I made a 6x8 Layout with another beautiful sketch using my July Kit.

I documented my new Hobby and adhered very exact to the sketch.

The July Kit is perfect for all you nature photographs.

I printed my photo in 7x7 cm and stuck it on a Project Life card . Then i have decorated the side  with Tags, flowers and bits and pieces from the ephemera pack how you see in the sketch.

For my title i have used the awesome SOPHIE ALPHABET stamp set.

Below I cut a journal card into stripes.

I love how my Layout turned out and i hope i can inspire too.

Have a wonderful day.

3 to Inspire with Suzanne

Hello creative friends,
Today I’m on the blog with 3 ways to inspire.

1.use different stamps
2.make a big title
3. Use layers on your page
4. Use multiple photo’s

For this spread I have used the July collection and a few different stamp sets. You can find them here:
The papers and embellishments are from the Flea market collection and I love how all the papers match!

For this challenge I used 4 photo’s and printed them in a small format so they would fit one page of my layout.

I really hope that I have inspired you and I would love to see what you create

Love Suzanne

Life Crafted Inspiration with Traci

Happy Friday everyone! Traci here with some color blocked Life Crafted inspiration!

If you know me, you know that I LOVE color in my albums and never shy away from using all the bold, bright colors in a collection.  For these photos of a painted rock installation from our Miami Beach vacation, I decided to go BOLD and double down on the color with the papers from the Flea Market Findings V2 Kit!

That bright stripe was the perfect accent to the multicolored stones and then because my photos didn't have teal, I drew out the teal from the striped paper by using a teal paper on the right, that way the teal in the striped paper didn't look out of place on my layout.

Then I started layering with alllll the fun ephemera from Flea Market Findings V2 kit, both to create some visual division between the bright background paper and photos and also to create some vertical height on the page to mimic the photos!

I hope that gives you some ideas on how to work with bold color on your pages!

Sunday Sketch with Shu-Wen

Hi everyone!

It's Shu-Wen here, sharing a spread in my 6x8 "Me, Myself and I" Life Crafted Album that I made using today's sketch, documenting my go-to hair style. Here's the sketch that I used for my layout:

I followed this sketch pretty closely for my layout, as the proportions are sized perfectly for a 6x8 page! For the layers of patterned paper, I used pieces from the new Flea Market Findings 2 Life-Crafted Kit; I especially love how the bottom collage patterned paper I used as my base has references to hair styles, making it the perfect background for my layout! To make the individual pieces of patterned paper stand out a bit more from one another, I used my Paper Distresser to rough up the edges a bit. I also added some staples with my Tiny Attacher to add a bit of interest and texture to my page. For my photo, I took a picture of my hair from behind, carefully trimmed the photo to get rid of the background in my photo, then mounted it onto another piece of patterned paper from the Flea Market Findings kit.

To embellish my page, I added a floral die-cut ephemera piece from the Flea Market Findings kit, a few of the puffy stickers from the kit (including one that I stapled to the page for added texture), and scattered a few pink enamel dots to bring out the pinks in my embellishments. For my journaling, I cut one of the 3x4 journaling cards from the kit in half and added my typed journaling using some clear sticker paper. I distressed the edges of this journaling card as well to match the rest of the layered papers on my layout.

For the top of my layout, I used the Bright Pink Puffy Alphabet Stickers in my favorite sticker font to spell out my title "My Go-To Hair" in a curve above the circle patterned paper that I cut out using my electronic cutting machine. Because the alphabet sticker set didn't come with a hyphen, I cut apart one of the letter Z's to use as a dash (we never use up those letter Z's anyways, right?). I love that the bright pink stands out boldly across the more neutral tones of the patterned papers I used in my page, and I really like how the curved alphabet looks over the background collage patterned paper. I also added a puffy sticker that says "Beauty" from the puffy sticker sheet along the left edge of my photo to emphasize the vertical lines going on in the strips of patterned papers.

Here's a look at how my layout turned out compared to the original sketch! I feel like I say this every time I do a sketch challenge, but I love how effortlessly I was able to put together this page using the sketch!

I also love how the Flea Market Findings kit has some papers and embellishments that are neutral enough to go with photos from any occasion, with some pops of color to brighten up any layout! Make sure to check out this kit bundle up in the Citrus Twist Kits shop to get a discount on all these goodies!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

3 TO INSPIRE WITH ETTIENE

Hello.  Ettiene here with this weeks three to inspire.  For this project I am using the Flea Market Findings 2.

Here are my three prompts to inspire you this week:

1. Use a B&W photo

2. Use some fibers

3. Use a stamp set from your stash

Here is my project using those prompts.  I am documenting a photo of my daughter eating an ice pop on the lake.

For the first card in this layout I used some of the ephemera from the kit with a tag.  I placed the blue fibers through the loop of the tag.  The cream fibers under the tag have sticky backing making them perfect for sticking to the card.

For the journaling card I used a stamp from my stash to stamp Sunshine & Water.  Its no longer available in the shop but there is a ton of other choices you could use for this.

I was inspired by the sentiment on the card that reads "She beats to the beauty her wildflower heart and seashore soul."  I immediately thought of my daughters wild hair in front of the lake.  I changed the picture to B&W because my daughter was dressed in all the colors of the rainbow.  I think it helped to focus on her windblown hair.  I added some of the pom pom trim to the side.

I hope this project and these prompts help inspire you this week.  If you make a layout based on this project I would love to see it.

Life Crafted Inspiration with Lory

Hey there everyone!
How are you? How is going your Summer? I'm waiting and living every single free moment to stay with my boys and have fun with family and friends. To be true I want sea, sun, sunset and a cold drink, it's the little things, right?

Today I am happy to share my latest 6x8 spread. Lately I am obsessed from little details more than ever! So what I am trying to do is to have fun using papers and embellishments in new creative ways. They are my new creative ways, something different than usual.

The July kit, the Flea Market Findings 2 Kit,  is adorable, I love the colors, the patterned papers, the journaling cards that are always one of my favorite pieces!

For this 6x8 spread I have thought to a minimal design, as always LOL, but with different colorful points of accent. I have separated the page in squares, each square  has a detail.

In one I put fringes with little stripes of the patterned papers, in another a stitched summer leave tone on tone, in another some beautiful embellishments, a picture and the little tag with phrases.

For the last one I mentioned I have used the amazing citrus twist stamps, I am obsessed with them. They are one more beautiful than the other. I wrote my journaling using the stamps.

To complete the spread I added the bookmark with the quote that sounded perfect for what I had on my mind.

The thing I think every time I am at my crauti disk to create with Citrus Twist products it's that everything looks so easy to put together, I have fun and I chase away the stress.

I hope to have given you the right inspiration, I personali can't wait to see my Summer album full of beautiful memories.

Love, Lory

Sunday Sketch with Nolana

Hello Lovely People!

How are you doing today? I am so excited to be here with you for today's Sunday Sketch. Here's the beautiful sketch that I worked with to create my design.

And this is what I created:-

Recently we travelled to a town called 1770, which is a beautiful little Beach town in Queensland, Australia. This trip would be covered more in depth in my Week In The Life album but I wanted to do a summary page for our travel album.

I really enjoyed choosing the digital papers which matched with the colours in the photo and yes, I am really feeling yellow in this season of life (despite it being winter down under).

To add journaling to this spread I created a pocket behind the photo and layered paper and slid it there attaching some baker's twine to the top so that it can be easily removed from the pocket and to add another textural element to the spread.

I also attached the photo with these embellishments with a peg, as opposed to adhering it to the spread because I loved the paper I used from the pocket too much to permanently stick the photo to it.

For the title I used Mojito Embossing powder and the Citrus Twist Emma Alphabet stamps (Lower and Upper case), as well as the Woodgrain puffy Alphas stickers.

I also distressed the edges of the two slimmest strips of paper and stitched on the yellow paper to add further texture to the spread.

All in all I really enjoyed creating this spread. The Pops of colour and all the textured elements bring me a whole lot of joy.

The products I used are:-

Hope you love the Sketch. Please tag us when you create something inspired by the Sketch. We'd love to see it!

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Love,

Nolana

3-TO-INSPIRE WITH LORILEI

Hello! Lorilei here with my first design team post! Today I'm bringing you some inspiration using the beautiful new Flea Market Findings v2 kit and the gorgeous Penelope Alphabet Stamp.

Here are my three prompts to inspire you:

1. Use a die-cut or chipboard as a story jump off point.
2. Use a vertical title.
3. Use at a full size photo.

Here is my project using the prompts!

For prompt one, I chose the super cute coffee chipboard circle as the jumping off point for my story. If you don't have a specific photo or story in mind, letting the products in the kit lead the way can be a fun challenge!

Prompt two, always a favourite of mine are full page photos! I used a photo of a great cup of coffee on the left side of the page and my chipboard fit perfectly on the cup and went with the red band!

Prompt three, a vertical title - I used the gorgeous Penelope Alphabet stamp to add my simple title! It adds such great impact! The Penelope stamp is perfect for vertical titles with the wider letters!

I have added another example of using prompt 1 & 2 below! I chose the orange drink chipboard and used the Spencer Alphabet Stamp for the title! Simple and quick!

I hope you choose to use all the prompts or just one! Have a great weekend and happy scrapping!

Sunday Sketch with Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  I'm excited to be sharing a new Sunday Sketch and inspiration with you today using the 49 and Market 6x8 Add-On Kit and bits of the new Flea Market 2 kit.

I used the inspiration for a 6x8 layout with the new Summer Screens cut file.  I just turned the cut file upside down and used it directly onto top of pattern paper from the 49 and Market 6x8 kit.

I fit the main photo behind the sun of the cut file and then edited the other photo into a circle to detail cut out.  The other circle image is a sticker from our visit to the museum.  Similar to the sketch, I used flowers from Flea Market 2 to cluster around photos.  The self-adhesive lace ribbon is from the Flea Market 2 kit as well and is a great accent as well as border along the right edge.

For the right side, I used a journaling card from Flea Market 2, added a stamped image from the new Tiny Words Explore stamp to finish.

Beautiful sketch!  I love the vertical lines, the circles and the clusters.  Mix it up like I did by moving the clusters and circles to different areas, use cut files, or even turn it and make it horizontal.  Hope you have fun with it!
