Using circles and bows

Hello crafty friends, Melanie back here with another Tuesday Tutorial. I don't know about you but I love circles, you can never go wrong with them, right?
Once again inspired by the cute pompom frames from the Embellishment Kit, I decided to make a layout using lots of circular elements. First I picked some papers and supplies I might use. I love the mint green ribbon and the cute buttons from the Perfectly Posh Scrapbook Kit, these are so cute. And how beautiful are all these pretty patterns and colors of the papers!

I started by punching some circles from each of the papers.

Next up I added some black splatters to my white background, adhered my photo to the frame and arranged the circles on my page without glueing anything.

I decided to put a bow on some of the circles using the mint green ribbon. I glued a strip of ribbon to each of the circles with a roller adhesive, sticked another strip together and used some white thread to make a bow.

I adhered the bows to the circles by using the same white thread. I also punched some circles from the flower paper from the Pocket Life Kit and placed them underneath the bows.

To bring in some contrast, I added some black circles to the layout and to finish it off I used some stickers and the buttons for embellishing and  I also fussy cut a flower from one of the papers.

At the end I adhered the black washi from the Embellishment Kit  as a border to my layout to add a little more interest to the page.

Maybe you're inspired to make a layout using lots of circular elements! Don't forget to share your creations in our Facebook Group or on Instagram and tag us so we can see your work!
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon,

Melanie

  2. I love how you created the circle embellishments - it's a beautiful LO! Greetings from a Florida gal (who also scraps entire albums of her two Cavalier King Charles furbabies.)
