3-to-Inspire with Patricia

Hello and welcome to another 3-to-Inspire post with CTK!  This month and time of year is so full of not only inspiration but amazing products.  The new Halloween and Fall collections in the shop are amazing, and today I'm using the Mischief & Mayhem kit.

'If' you are like me and haven't finished last year's October album, you will be really excited to know that if you purchased last year's Halloween kit, it will blend and mix in beautifully with the new Mischief & Mayhem, which leads me into our 3-to-Inspire for today:

  1. Use embossing powder with your stamping
  2. Create a foldout for multiple photos
  3. ...and mix in some items from an older kit with the NEW!

Even though I'm not finished my album, I had photos and stories waiting to be told.  So I already had pattern papers used for my foldout for my photos from last year's kit and decided instead of starting fresh to see how well it worked with the new papers and items.  In order to make it work, I pulled the black pattern paper with the moon and stars.

That then inspired me to use black cardstock and add stamping to emboss in gold powder.  It really repeated the look of the moon and stars pattern paper so well!

I'm including a lot of photos in the spread and have a few more on the opposite side to show you as well.  But since our new ceramic jack-o-lantern changed colors, I thought it would be to include that by creating a foldout.  I just trimmed scrap pieces of cardstock to insert in between the photo and the pattern paper on the back and then made it fold in the way I wanted it.  To repeat the look of the pattern paper from the left, I trimmed pieces from it to add to the bottom of each photo.

For my 2x2 pockets, I included my photos in every other pocket, then trimmed light pieces of white paper to layer on die cuts and stamping from the kit.  I added the 'R' from the black alphas to add to the center of one of my photos and really helps add that pop of back throughout.

The backside of this spread had more photos but since it was a new page, I decided to pull more of the playful colors from the new kit.  After trimming them to 2x2, I trimmed them again diagonally to adhere to the backside of the white paper, then finished each one with either a die cut or sticker from the kit.

This kit and stamp set is AMAZING and I don't know how each year they get even better!  But what I love most is that they can all work so well together.  I hope this 3-to-Inspire truly do inspire you to mix your new with old, heat emboss and stamp, and create a foldout for multiple photos!  Have fun creating!
