Sunday Sketch

Hi everyone! Charissa here today with my interpretation of this week’s sketch. I loved the wrap around look and stuck very close to the sketch just tucking in a few more layers.

Sketch Photo 1

I combined the July Main Kit along with the Embellie Kit to pull this layout together. My title came together with both the thickers from the main kit and the OA Travel Girl letters from the Embellie Kit.

Sketch Photo 2

I used the TWC mask from the Embellie kit along with the Prima chalk in from the Main Kit to create a block for a subtitle on my layout. I outlined it with a pen from my stash to give it a bit more definition. I used a brad from the OA Travel Girl brads found in the Embellie kit to pull the layers all together.

Sketch Photo 3

On the right side of the layout, I added another brad from the Embellie Kit to anchor some of the twine that the kits come wrapped in. It coordinates perfectly with all of the items in the kit. Finally, I stamped the star stamps from the main kit with both the blue Prima ink (the solid stamp) and with a brown ink from my stash (the outline), added some sequins from the main kit, and splattered some gold ink from my stash. The stitching lines were drawn with a brown marker as the final touch. Can’t wait to see what you create with the sketch! Until then!

Here is your new sketch challenge. Upload your layouts to the gallery by July 20th to get your name in a drawing to win a $5 GC to the store. When uploading to the gallery you can name it as you would normally but please include "Sketch 7/14".

  1. I like the wrap-around look, too! It's something I need to start experimenting with on my own layouts.
