This month bright colors are just perfect for my fun and busy week 25. The travel girl journaling card is too cute that I have to use it for my title card. The green doily and the tiny wood sequins added the perfect touch to the card. P.S. The bigger sized sequins are from my stash.
Here's my way of adding special memorabilia - my baby's hair from his first haircut. Hopefully I dont sound like a weird mom but these hair are so precious! I cut a heart-shaped vellum and stitched it to one of the 3x4 cards, added the hair and fold the excess to the back, glue it and I am done. I placed the journaling card with hair next to the photo of my boy crying during his hair cut.
Took the idea from the previous card and added another heart vellum here.
I have been using twines in many of my weekly spread. I love using twines from the kit packaging and tie a ribbon to add to some of my card. It is an easy way to embellish the card without adding much bulk. I love how the twine actually added a splash of color to this pocket.
It was a really really hazy week as the air was so polluted that I felt like my neighbour was throwing a barbecue party all-day-long! We have been staying indoor for a week as the pollutant standard index (PSI) went up to 400 (anything more than 300 is hazardous and could affect our health badly). I printed a photo of Merlion wearing mask which was an internet photo that my friend sent me. I just twant to document this hazy week with a fun photo!
Here's the sketch for this week spread:
I hope you do play along with the sketch and challenge yourself to include some memorabilia into yout Project Life pages. It could be movie tickets, receipts from grocery shopping, food packaging (make sure you wash it thoroughly before adding to your project) or even drawings / handwriting from your family and friends.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend ahead!
I think you did a great job documenting the baby's first haircut!
