Tuesday Tutorial with Melissa Mann

Good Morning, friends!

This is Melissa here with you this morning and I'm sharing a layout I made with the Pocket Life kits from July & August! Those kits are packed with so many goodies and I still had a ton left from each one - I decided to use the leftover bits to create this layout.

First, I found a cut file and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the background page out.

I found a photo I wanted to use and printed out two square copies of it using my Canon Selphy printer. I picked out the pattern paper I wanted to use; I LOVED the 6x6 patterned papers that were included in the August kit that were dog themed and used all of those. I cut them down into smaller pieces and backed the hearts that were cut out on my white card stock.

I used small pieces of scotch tape to hold the small pieces of pattern paper down. I kept covering them all until every heart was "filled" with a pattern.

I backed the piece of white card stock with another piece of card stock and then stitched it all down using my sewing machine. There was no rhyme or reason for the stitching - I just stitched in between all the hearts.

Next, I trimmed my photos down and layered them with some tags, stickers, and chipboard.

I wanted to use that "Summer" chipboard piece that was included in last month's kits and layered it on top of a vellum envelope and another tag. I stitched these down and put it in the lower right hand corner of my layout.

Lastly, I added other embellishments around my layout such as chipboard hearts, stickers, and glitter embellishments.

And here's the final result!

I hope you are enjoying your kits! Remember, to stretch those supplies out! You can create pocket pages, layouts, cards, and altered projects with just one kit!

Thanks for stopping by!
