SUNDAY SKETCH with Katarina

Hi Citrus Twist friends!

Katarina here with you again, this time with Sunday Sketch inspiration. Today's sketch was so much fun to work with, let's have a look!

I love sketches that are versatile, work for all formats and can be easily modified to work for me. And this sketch was absolutely perfect for this! This time I rotated the sketch by 180 degrees and created a fun layout in my Sea Glass 6x8 Life Crafted Album.

I love layering beautiful patterned papers and this sketch really inspired me to do it here on my layout. I combined digital papers and cards from the Crave and Travelogue kit.

I documented a delicious Pavlova cake that I had enjoyed a couple of weeks ago and the embellishments from the Crave kit were just the perfect match!

I used the beautiful Crave puffy stickers, chipboard stickers and the digital die cuts to add some fun details to my photo.

I love combining fonts and sizes of letters for my titles. This time I used the super gorgeous Emma Upper Alphabet Stamp together with the Bubblegum Pink Foam Alphabet stickers. To add last finishing touches, I sprinkled some black and yellow enamel dots here and there.

I hope you find this sketch and my project inspiring and that it helps you create something beautiful today! Thank you for stopping by, see you next time!

3-to-INSPIRE with Lory

Hello everyone! Happy Saturday and welcome to the new episode of 3-to inspire serie,
how are you? Today I am super happy to share a new super cute project made just using Citrus Twist products and nothing else.

Here we go

A little 7x10 cm mini album.

This is my recipe to inspire you:

  1. use journaling cards as patterned papers
  2. use tiny alphabet stickers to create a little background
  3. use black and white photos
First thing I chose two 6x8 patterned papers to create the front and back cover of my little minialbium, each page is 7x10 cm, the pictures are in size 6x8 cm.

I have simply played with embellishments mixing a lot of different kits, phrase stickers that are gorgeous, wood hearts, ephemera and paper flowers that I love so much!

This is the second part

And here some close ups

Hope you like it and it will inspire you to record your precious memories.
Love, Lory

Life Crafted Inspiration (6x8) with Diane Dziuban

 Hi Everyone!  Happy Friday!

Today I am sharing a fun 6x8 layout I created in my gorgeous Citrus Twist Life-Crafted Album using pieces from the May ROUND TRIP Add-On Kit.

This kit is so pretty, with lots of soft colors and gold accents. I knew as soon as I saw the colors that this kit would work beautifully with some photos I had taken recently of the castle at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. I first decided that I wanted to add a large photo of the castle, and the 6x8 size just works perfectly with those larger sizes. I added a few embellishments to the bottom right to coordinate with the right side.

For the right side I knew that I wanted to use a piece of the patterned paper that came in the kit for a pocket. The sheet of paper had these sweet tags that I thought would work perfectly as a pocket. I cut those tags out across the paper and then used my sewing machine to attach them to the green paper to form the pocket. I then used coordinating paper from the kit to make three tags to house some smaller photos from that day, creating an interactive element on my page. I then embellished the bottom corner and added my journaling.

I love using these beautiful kits and albums to get my memories documented! The 6x8 album size and this gorgeous kit was so much fun to work with!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to find some time to get crafty!

Sunday Sketch with Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  Excited to join Citrus Twist Kits in bringing you the sketch and inspiration using the May Crave Kit, May Cut Files, the Card Phrases This Day Stamp, Citrus Twist BRIGHTS Chipboard Star Stickers (on sale now!), and the new Tangerine 6x8 Lifecrafted Album.

The main design that inspired me was the grid, and instead of following it exactly I did a loose interpretation of a grid using the May Cut File frames and then backing the largest with a photo.

My photo fit perfectly within this larger frame.  I chose older Citrus Twist Kits papers (I save them all!!) to cut from.  I chose only two patterns giving me an orange and blue.  This gave me plenty of room to add embellishments without it being too busy.

I penciled in the area for the journaling through this cut file, and then used my typewriter.  For added texture, color, and goes with the homey look of my layout, I added cross stitching with all 6 strands of embroidery floss to each frame.

I was able to use the new Card Phrases This Day stamp as my title for 'This Day' and then I used 'Saturday' but covered it partially up with the ephemera from the May kit for 'CATurday.'

Once my journaling, photo and placement of the frames and stamping were done, I just filled in with embellishments to bring focus to the middle of the layout.  Grab those Chipboard Star Stickers that on sale now as well, those were my last detail of just something simple but with a different texture to lead the eye up and down the layout.  Have fun creating!

3-to-INSPIRE with Nathalie

Hi there!
Nathalie with you today to share a new project inspired by this week's 3 prompts. I love having these three prompts as a starting point for my page, and helps with designing  and completing a spread in a flash!  Here are this week's prompts:
  1. Multiple photos
  2. Embellishment Clusters
  3. Circles
I am using a combination of the Add-On kit, Travelogue Kit, shop products, and TravelogueV2 Stamp set for today's spread in my Sunshine 6x8 Life Crafted Album.

I am still working on my Ecuador Vacation 2017 album ( and this is only Day 1 of 30)!  Having multiple photos was  a great start, as we accumulated 5000 photos in that trip alone!.

Grids are one of the easiest and most effective ways to showcase multiple photos in one spread.  I combined color and black and white photos in my grid.  I wanted to bring some pink tones into the page, so I pulled a paper from Maggie Holmes Round Trip 6x8 paper pad for the background.

I pulled pieces of ephemera from the Travelogue kit, May Add-on kit, and a few shop exclusives to create the embellishment clusters in each of the empty spaces of the grid.

I added an embellishment cluster to the top right corner of the spread, and chose to add the circle puffy sticker, from the Travelogue kit, to complete the look of the page.  I had added a few circular elements in the grid's clusters; so, this last one completes the visual triangle.

To finish the spread, I added my journal lines in the same line as the cluster embellishment, then added a few stamped sentiments ( Travelogue V2 stamp set) to complete the spread.

I hope this inspires you to use the prompts to create a project of your own this weekend!

XO

LIFE CRAFTED INSPIRATION with Suzanne Wallage

Good day friends!

Today I have made a page in my life crafted album using the may collection.

I documented a fun afternoon where we played a game and had some snacks on Easter, so this kit was absolutely perfect!

I cut the cutfile with my cricut machine and colored it with distress oxide to match with the paper and letters from the kit.
Then I did the same thing with the fork, knife and spoon and used them as little embellishments behind my cluster.

I really love this kit it’s so perfect to document and write about the little details in our life’s.
I hope that I have inspired you and I can’t wait to see what you create.

Lots of love Suzanne

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH KERSTIN

Hi everyone!

Kerstin here, sharing pages in my Citrus Twist Life-Crafted Album using today's sketch! I fell into older family photos while photo printing and thought they would be perfect for this sketch!

Here is the sketch that I used to create my layout:

I have divided the sketch into 2 pages and put one photo on each page. Let's start!

I used the Life Crafted CRAVE Traveler's NotebookDigital Papers and cut strips 3/4 inch wide and 3 - 4 inches long from various papers. I sewed a few of them in the center with my sewing machine. I arranged the stripes on my two pages and attached them with double side tape.

Herer you can see a closer look at the strips. I decorated the stripes with the BACK TO BASICS Arrows, Hearts & Clouds Chipboard Stickers, BACK TO BASICS Puffy Word, Phrase & Number Snippets and a few Enamel Dots. I placed my family photo on the bottom left.

On the right side I decorated the strips with various Bits and Pieces including Life Crafted FLEA MARKET FINDINGS Chipboard Frames, BACK TO BASICS Word, Phrase & Number Snippets

I stamped my title with the Citrus Twist 6" x 8" TRUE LIFE Stamp V1 and cut it out. Below that, my handwritten journaling complemented by the Tiny Word Alphabet Stickers form the Citrus Twist Life Crafted CRAVE Mini-Kit

Here you can see a closer look at the title!

For me, a sketch usually takes on a life of its own! I choose a detail from the sketch and start with it! I'm looking forward to see how your creation will look like! Tag @citrustwistkits in your project so we can see it!

I hope I could inspire you and am very excited about your projects!

See you soon!

Kerstin xx

3-to-Inspire with Desiree

Hi friends! Today I am here to share with you this week's 3-to-Inspire. It was definitely easy to choose the inspiration with this month's amazing kits. Here is what made the list.

1. die cuts

2. clusters

3. patterned paper

For this challenge, I was inspired to do a 12x12 layout. I started with a patterned paper from the May Round Trip add-on kit. I cut it diagonally and placed the larger piece on the bottom right corner and the smaller piece on the top left. I noticed the beautiful floral design on the other side of my leftover scrap papers and decided to let them peek out from both corners.

Once I saw the hanging plant from the Crave Die Cuts, I knew I wanted to use it to give the illusion that it was hanging from the top of my page. So I let that be the basis of my smaller cluster. To complete this cluster, I used Crave Chipboard Stickers and Crave Puffy Stickers.

I allowed my bottom photo cluster to go along my page diagonally on the patterned paper. I love how the large floral die cut from the Crave Ephemera Pack was perfect for the cluster and to add the mixer too. I also used more  Crave Chipboard Stickers and Crave Puffy Stickers to complete this cluster.

I finished the layout off with this "Adorable" die cut from Happy Hearts Title Ephemera from the May Round Trip add-on kit.

I am so glad you joined me today for this week's 3-to-Inspire. I hope you enjoyed this layout as much as I did. Don't forget to stop by the Citrus Twist Kits shop for any supplies I used. Stay crafty!
