SUNDAY SKETCH WITH VANESSA TACONELLI

Hello CTK friends!

It's Vanessa Taconelli here. I am so excited to be here with you for today's Sunday Sketch. Here's the beautiful sketch that I worked with to create my design.

And this is what I created:

I used the sketch as inspiration to create a 6x8 layout on my notebook. The mix & match with the digital collections Routines and 2023 Travelogue was perfect for this moment. The colors are so beautiful. I am so crazy about the layers and clusters and you ? Love all the layers and blends.

I hope this inspires you to use the sketch for a project of your own. Cannot wait to see what you create with the sketch.

3 - TO - INSPIRE with Patricia

Welcome to another 3-to-Inspire here on the Citrus Twist Kits blog!  Patricia joining you today using primarily the ROUTINES digital collection.

My 3-to-Inspire:

  1. print the ephemera on vellum or clear sticker paper
  2. screen shot a song from your phone and insert your own photo
  3. create a title from a song

So you can see right away from the page on the right that the inspiration came from the Taylor Swift Song Fifteen.  I love the transition of doing birthday layouts for my daughter at an older age.  The song and her being older gave me the idea to document her 15th birthday using the song.  I did a screen shot of the song on my phone and then inserted her photo into it.  Printed that as is on photo paper, and had my daughter X out Taylor's name with her own name.  I used Photoshop to insert the photo, but you can use whatever app you own to do the same.

I used the cut file available this month with 'currently.'  I cut that with leftover Citrus Twist Pattern Paper to give it a little bit of color.  The base page that the cut file is attached to is one of the digital papers from ROUTINES.  I had my daughter write down all the things she is currently into and typed them onto the digital paper, then printed it.  So there's a total of 5 layers to that page, with the base digital paper and journaling, the 'CURRENTLY' cut file, vellum, one of the ROUTINES elements printed on clear sticker paper attached to the vellum, then stamping out my song inspired title.  For the title I used Ginger Upper and Lower case alpha stamps, and the Chloe alpha stamp.

I didn't want to add to much more to the right side, but I loved the whimsical look from the photo of my duaghter on her birthday, and printed more of the ROUTINES elements and had them popping out from the top.  The little ladybug was printed on the clear sticker paper.  Hope this gives you some ideas for your next project!  Thank you for stopping by!

I created the layout using the new ROUTINES Digital files.

The basis of the layout is a white cardstock, on which I placed colored frames. I added embellishments of the same color to each frame.

Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own.  Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.  I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.

3- TO - INSPIRE with Nathalie

Hello there!

It's Nathalie here with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge.   This is always a fun challenge as it provides a starting point for your projects.  Let's take a look at the 3 prompts:

  1. Use Numbers
  2. Color block your project
  3. Add some florals

Here is what I have created with the prompts and this month's ROUTINES digital collection for my 6x8 Flamingo Life Crafted album.

Don't you just love all the color in this month's digital collection.  I think is perfect for all sorts of documenting .  Let's take a closer look at how I used the prompts

First I pulled the large numbers from the Routines Journaling Ephemera to create the base for this page.   These numbers are a great way to bring action to the page as well as help with journaling the story in a point form.

I looked through the Routines Ephemera for florals and leaves that matched the colors of the numbers.  Though I love flowers for my projects, I decided to keep it them to just a few so that they will not overtake the numbers or the page.

Finally, I fussy cut a few "notes" from the  Routines Digital Patterned paper to match the colors of the numbers and florals.  I attached them to the page, and made sure to group similar tone/color pieces within the same area. Color blocking helps to pull this page all together.

A few extra exclusive elements complete the color blocking of the page.  I love how this all turned out.   I hope that this inspires you to check the new Routines Digital Collection and this week's prompts for your next project~

XO!!

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH DESIREE

Hi crafty friends! I am really happy to be here with you and share today's sketch. Let's take a look at it below.

When I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use the Sunshine Mini-Kit. It is a fun, bright kit that's perfect for Summer time.

I started by layering my Sunshine digital papers at the bottom of my pages. This was to mimic to band at the bottom of the sketch.

Next, I layered my photos on the left page on using the Flea Marketing Findings Chipboard Frames.  I let bits of the Sunshine Ephemera peek from under my photos.

Some of the florals were left to wander onto the right page to let my cluster take up more space.

To make my title I used my favorite Retro Puffy Word Stickers. I also used some of the extra bits from the stickers to decorate my page.

This sketch made it fun and easy to capture my Summer memories. Thank you for following along.

 Happy crafting!

3-to-INSPIRE with Nathalie

Hello there!

Nathalie with you today with this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge.  And this week's prompts are sure to get you ready to create your own projects.  Here are this week's prompts:

  1. Use Multiple Photos
  2. Add some circles
  3. Get creative with your title
Here is what I created using these prompts and the beautiful ROUTINES Digital Collection.

I went for  clean and simple for this spread using a few of the ROUTINES cut apart digital elements, digital patterned paper, and digital journaling ephemera.

I created a film strip using three pictures from one of my live sessions ( and coffee is always a must!).  I wanted them to remain attached so that I could easily attach them to the title in a clean way.

I used a brad to connect each picture to the center of the page with string.   I used circles from the cut apart elements sheet to add interest to each of the photos.

I used more of the circle elements from the digital ephemera and cut apart elements to continue the circle motif of the page on the journal part of the spread.

I am using pieces from the Routines Digital Ephemera and Digital Journaling ephemera to create my title.   First, I am using two different sizes of the laptop icon.  The first lays flat on the page, and the strings were attached to the center of the laptop.  Then, I used the smaller laptop to cover the strings; here I added one of the title phrases and a few more circles.   Then to finish the look of the title, I stamped a few extra sentiments using the CHERISH Stamp set.

I added a few enamel dots to continue the circle look of the page, and done!   I love how this turned out! This layout came together in a flash, and I love the simplicity of the page.  Remember to check the new ROUTINES Digital Collection, you are going to love all that you can create with it!1
