Sunday Sketch with Sheree

Hi everyone!

I’m so happy to be back on the blog with you today with one of my favourite posts…the Sunday Sketch!  This one was so fun to work with so let’s take a look…

Here’s the layout I came up with…

I decided to stay with the 8.5 x 11 inch size for this page as it’s a size I love to create with but this sketch could so easily be adapted to suit the 12 x 12 inch format!

I printed out my photos to roughly 3 x 2.5 inches and positioned them at the bottom of the page layered on top of the yellow paper and a strip of the rainbow paper from the Crate Paper SWEET STORY 6 x 8 Paper Pad plus a piece of vellum from my stash and added machine stitching.

I grabbed a couple of the fun tickets from the Life Crafted TICKETS & TAGS Die-Cut Cardstock Ephemera pack to tuck under the side of the second photo just like the sketch and adhered a heart die cut from the pretty Life Crafted FLORALS Die-Cut Cardstock Ephemera pack.  I printed out the date and made it into a little tag to finish off this cluster.

To the left of the first photo I added the fun XOXO piece from the Tickets & Tags ephemera pack and another little heart from the Florals pack.

At the top of the page I used a strip of the scalloped paper from the Sweet Story paper pad, added stitching then tucked in a yellow ticket ephemera at the right side in the same spot as the little cluster in the sketch.  I also added a phrase and heart die cut from the Florals ephemera pack.

My journaling strips were positioned to the left of the page like the sketch and I added stitching to each of the strips.  I also used stamps from the Citrus Twist 6” x 8” GET MESSY Stamp set above and below the journaling.  More heart ephemera pieces were added around the journaling and I finished off with a tiny heart stamp from the Get Messy stamp set.

You can see my process in the video below...

The sketch made it so easy to put this layout together!  I hope I’ve inspired you to give it a try yourself.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!

Today I have a life crafted spread to share with you featuring the super fun Life Crafted TICKETS & TAGS Die-Cut Ephemera and one of the pretty papers from the Crate Paper SWEET STORY 6”X 8” Paper Pad.

When I saw all the colourful tickets and tags in the ephemera pack it made me think about the time we went to our local community show.  I decided to work outside the page protectors in my life crafted album so my pages are roughly 5” x 8”.

I found my photo and printed it out full size, then chose the lovely frames paper from the paper pad and cut it to size too.  I chose tickets and tags that tied in with the colours of the frames and adhered them into place before adding a little machine stitching to each for texture.

I stamped the date onto the “life as we know it” tag.  I love the new Citrus Twist 6” x 8” GET MESSY Stamp set and used the little camera stamp on one of the tags at top of the page, then stamped the “time well spent” onto white cardstock with a green ink before punching it out with a circle punch and adhering it to the page with a foam square.  I also added some stars from the Citrus Twist BRIGHTS Chipboard Star Stickers and a die cut heart from the ephemera pack.

At the bottom of the photo page I layered two tickets and my printed journaling together before adding some more machine stitching.  I added my title using the gorgeous CitrusTwist SUN YELLOW Foam Alphabet, then finished off with two more chipboard stars and a tiny die cut heart.

All I had to do then was punch the six holes down the side of each page and add it to my album.  I love how easily this spread came together!

You can see how I put this spread together in the video below:

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!  I look forward to sharing another project with you soon!

Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!

Today I have a fun life crafted spread to share with you featuring the fabulous November Legendary Life Crafted Kit.  As soon as I read the name of this kit it I knew I had to use it to document this particular day….the day when Ayden finally beat his Dad in an arm wrestle.  Ayden thought it was the best day ever!

I had three photos that I wanted to include on this spread.  I printed each of them to approximately 2.5 inches tall so that I could fit all of them on the full-sized page.  I cut my paper to size, machine stitched around the edge, then arranged the photos down the page slightly overlapping each other.  I also stitched across the top of each photo.

I chose three of the vellum tape tiny word stickers from the kit and adhered them onto a white cardstock backing so they would stand out. I then adhered one to the side of each photo.

I also added a die cut to the top of each word strip with foam dots for a little dimension.

For the right side of the spread I decided on two journaling cards from the kit to tell the story of the day.  The first card was the 1,2,3 card.  I typed up a sentence to add next to each number, cut them out and stitched them into place.

The second card was the ‘enjoying this’ card.  I added my journaling by using the digital version of the card to print it out.  I stitched around the edge, added a date stamp then used two of the small yellow enamel dots from the kit to indicate my selections from the list.

While the photos weren’t great quality on this spread, it still documents a really fun moment between Ayden and Paul which I love and this kit made it so easy!

Sunday Sketch with Sheree

Hello friends!

Today I’m back on the blog to share our Sunday Sketch with you.  I always love a sketch challenge!  Let’s take a look at the sketch design…

This sketch was so fun to work with!  Here’s the layout I came up with featuring the beautiful November 2020 Scrapbooking Add-on Kit…

I followed the general design of the sketch for my page.  I chose the gingham and cute floral papers from the kit to use behind my photos as well as for the strip across the bottom and triangle piece in the top left corner. I added lots of machine stitching for texture.

I printed my photos, cut them in a polaroid style and layered them onto the page.  The journaling strips and title were positioned the same as the sketch and I stitched across them too.   I added a little stamping to the top right corner of the page using a stamp from the November 2020 This is Life “Legends” stamp set for a little something extra.

I absolutely loved the scripty “home” word in this sketch!  I used the cut file and my Silhouette to cut it out, positioned it on the page and stitched across it to hold it in place.

I roughly followed the embellishment design, only added a few more to take them right up the page next to the first photo as well.  I used a mix of ephemera, stickers and chipboard flair from the kit, stitching across the two flat ephemera pieces to add more texture.  I also stamped the date at the bottom right of the page.

There is a video below if you’d like to watch my process…

I loved working with this sketch and hope I’ve inspired you to try it too!

Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today.  Enjoy your Sunday!

Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!

Today I have a life crafted spread to share with you featuring the beautiful October 2020 “Flourish” Life Crafted Kit and two of the fun stamp sets on offer this month too.

As soon as I saw the October 2020 This is Life “Ready for This” stamp set I knew it would be perfect for documenting the pretty flowers that have appeared on my succulents this month.  I stamped the plant label stamp three times onto white cardstock then added the “bloom”, flower and “grow” stamps to the centre of each one.  I also stamped the phrase “All kinds of happy” from the October 2020 Traveler’s Notebook Stamp Set onto the cardstock, then cut everything out ready to use on my spread.

For the first page of the spread I added strips of the green floral and polka dot papers to the left side of the white cardstock, then added stitching before positioning my 1.5 inch square photos down the left side of the page.  I then added the stamped plant labels down the right side of the page with foam dots to add some dimension.

For the second page of the spread, I used the green floral as the background and stitched a border.

I added the stamped title at the top with a piece of the polkadot paper layered in behind it.  Under that is the “right here” piece from the Printable “Flourish” Cutapart Elements sheet.  A row of stitching was added to both of these pieces.

I added my journaling onto one of the journaling cards from the kit using my computer and printer, added it to the centre of the page and stitched around the edge.  I embellished the card with two puffy stickers in the bottom right corner.

At the bottom of the pages is a label, also from the printable cutapart elements sheet, that I’ve stamped with the date.  I also layered another piece of the polka dot paper underneath and stitched across the label.

There is a process video below if you’d like watch how I’ve put this spread together…

I hope I've inspired you to do some stamping on your next project!

Thanks so much for joining me on the blog today!

Pocket Page Challenge with Sheree

Hi everyone!

It’s Sheree here with you today and I have a new pocket page challenge to share with you!   I’ve used the gorgeous “Flourish” Life Crafted Kit to put together this double page spread about what’s happening around our place so far this October.

I absolutely adore the fun colours in the kit this month and it wasn’t hard to pick out the perfect cards to use for my project.

I always like to add typed journaling to my cards so using the digital version of the kit cards makes it super easy to do in Photoshop.  For the title card on this spread I added text to this yellow card before printing it out.  I added some machine stitching, then adhered the “October” title down the side using the beautiful green puffy alphabet stickers.  A couple of enamel dots finished this card off perfectly.

For the photo next to this card I added the “Love” ephemera piece and layered a word sticker and a puffy heart sticker on top.  Stitching was also added with my sewing machine for a little texture.

At the bottom of the first page is a photo of my blooming cactus.  I simply layered puffy stickers onto a word sticker and added a row of stitching.

The pretty floral card is one of my favourites!   I stamped a phrase from the 3” x 4” FLOURISH Life Crafted Kit Stamp Set onto some white cardstock, adhered it across the middle of the card and added a row of stitching.

At the top of the second page I added another word sticker to the bottom of the photo along with a puffy heart sticker and stitching.

For the blue “noted” journaling card I printed some text onto vellum and stitched it onto the card. I like that this added an extra layer instead of just printing straight onto the card.  I also adhered a couple of enamel dots at the top of the card too.

At the bottom of this page I have a 4” x 6” photo of the fair that’s on right now around the corner from where we live.  I snapped this photo on one of our afternoon walks and I love how the colours in this photo work with this kit!  I created a little cluster in the top left corner of the photo using ephemera, a piece from the digital cutapart sheet, a word sticker, a puffy star, some enamel dots…and more stitching of course!

You can watch my process in the video below if you'd like to see more detail...

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing how I put this spread together and that I’ve given you a few ideas you can use on your pocket pages!

Thanks for stopping by!
