Perfectly Posh Scrapbook Layouts with Amanda

Hi Citrus Twist Fans!

Amanda here, with a ton of Perfectly Posh inspiration for you today!
You may want to get yourself a cup of coffee & get comfortable....
This month's kits are sooooooooooo pretty & superbly coordinated, that I 'whipped up' a batch of layouts in next to no time! I mean, the kits are just SO good that I couldn't stop!
Yay for scrap happy days!

Here's what I've made with them so far .....
"You're My Sunshine"

Sigh! Pastel.Pink.Perfection!!!
Isn't this super pretty?!!

Scrapbook Kit Supplies | Pinkfresh Studio: Simple & Sweet: Simplicity, Pinkfresh Studio: Simple & Sweet: Enamel Dots, Maggie Holmes: Willow Lane: Foam & Chipboard Thickers (Wonderful)

Pocket Life Supplies |  Exclusive CTK Cardstock Ephemera, Exclusive CTK Bright Yellow Puffy Alphabet Stickers, Double-sided Journaling cards, May Arts: Pompom Trim.

Digital Files | Floral Swag designed by Nathalie De Sousa & Perfectly Posh Cut Aparts

I was immediately drawn in by the pretty florals that featured across the kits, and just had to use them all together!
Here's a closer look for you....

The Pinkfresh Studio 'Simplicity' pattern paper is just divine, and really dictated my color scheme for this layout! I love the soft, pastel pink teamed with the bright, sunshine yellow! Such a pretty and happy combination!
I used the journaling cards from the Pocket Life Kit to back the Floral Swag Cut File with, and then embellished with more florals from the CTK Exclusive Cardstock Ephemera!

How gorgeous is that pom pom trim?!! I NEED more of this - it's my kinda embellishment!
And it's no secret that I am a HUGE fan of Puffy Stickers and these sunshine yellow alphas have my heart!!! (I may have to hoard some of them, lol!)

SO.much.pretty!!!
Bright days ahead, indeed!
Love it!

Next up, is another gorgeously girly and pretty page....

"Love You"

Swoon!!! It doesn't get much prettier than this!

Scrapbook Kit Supplies | Maggie Holmes: Willow Lane: Together, Melody & Sweet One pattern papers, Willow Lane: Ephemera, Foam & Chipboard Thickers (Wonderful), Flea Market Mix embellishments, Perfectly Posh Cut Aparts.

Embellishment Kit Supplies | Maggie Holmes: Willow Lane: Accent Stickers & Pom Pom Frames

Let's take a closer look.....

Lots of pretty layers here - you'll even spot the tissue wrap that our kits come in! I needed to use all.the.things!
Like my previous layout, I've opted for a super pretty color scheme with lots of delicate embellishments. I just adore the vintage shell buttons and that mint satin ribbon! SO very feminine & girly!

On careful inspection, you'll notice some peach watercolor droplets which I use to enhance the peach pom pom frame & pattern paper! So lovely!

And for finishing touches, who can go past the gold glitter foam heart stickers?!!
Just gorgeous!

My next layout is one of those super quick, but oh-so sweet 8.5" x 11" numbers....

"Cute"

Isn't she the cutest?! Such a fun page for her personal album!

Scrapbook Kit Supplies | Amy Tangerine: Shine On: Sprinkled, Maggie Holmes: Willow Lane: Foam & Chipboard Thickers (Wonderful), Willow Lane: Crepe Fringe

Embellishment Kit Supplies | Maggie Holmes: Willow Lane: Accent Stickers & Pom Pom Frames

The Sprinkled pattern paper from Amy Tangerine was so pretty that I just had to feature both sides of it on my layout! I apply each pattern to the top of my layout, and then repeat this layered look with the Willow Lane Crepe Fringe.  To make my fringing 'stretch' a lil further I unpicked some of the stitching to 'loosen' it up, and soften it's appearance.

The Willow Lane Pom Pom Frames from the Embellishment Kit are just the bees knees!!! I am seriously in love with them - so pretty!

It's at this point in my creating that my darling boy points out that I 'haven't made me (him) a page yet!' Ooops! I was so caught up in all that prettiness that I forgot to make something for my Mr A for Awesome! No problem - the Perfectly Posh kits are super versatile.....

"Going & Going Wild"

Voila! How's that for my super cool kid?!

Pocket Life Kit Supplies | CTK Exclusive items - 2" x 3" Polymer Stamp, Fabric Die Cut Stickers, Cardstock Ephemera, Journaling Cards, Printed Cork Shapes, Cut Apart Labels, Perfectly Posh Cut Aparts, as well as Flea Market Find: Vintage Poetry Book Page.

Pattern Paper Play Kit | Paper #3

Going & Going Wild sums it perfectly! Such a cool travel page of my mister at the rail yard!

So many awesome details and layers, but I am especially impressed by the stamps! Here's a closer look at them....

Wow!!! Don't they stamp beautifully?! So clear that they look like they were printed on the labels - not stamped! LOVE!!!
Here's a few more close ups for you....

So.much .awesome!

This is my happy, indeed! The kits may be 'posh' but they're definitely for the boys too!

Life is better on a bike

Hi crafty friends, Melanie here today! I am so excited to be sharing my first layout here on the CTK Blog with you today. When I first opened the gorgeous July kits one thing that caught my eye immediately, were these cute Chipboard Alphabets in the Skyland Scrapbook Kit. I knew I wanted to use as many as I could on a page and decided to make a layout with a long title.

I printed a picture of me on a bike which is almost black and white so that I could to use any color I'd like.  Anyone who knows me knows that I love bike trips. To me it's such a great way to recharge, enjoy nature and remain fit. I started by matting the photo with some of my favorite papers and cards from the Pocket Life Kit.  I also used some bits and pieces from the July Cut Aparts, which are free on the website and perfect to use  with any of the July Kits, to add some layers to my photo.

After that I added some of the embellishments form the Pocket Life and Scrapbook Kit to add more texture and interest.

Then I arranged my title around my photo, trimmed the white cardstock down and glued it on the fun striped paper which is included in the main kit. To make it stand out a little more I also added some stripes of a darker paper from the kit. I added my journaling next to my photo and used the July Travelers Notebook Stamp to stamp out the cute little box with the stars and the 'rated', I love the 3D effect on this! To finish my layout off, I used some black ink to make some splatters on my page and stamped some phrases from the Conversation Starters stamps which I love! These small phrases are perfect to add some interest on your pages or to use them a starting off point for journaling.

I can't wait to see how you all are going to use the Alphas. Be sure to share your projects in our Facebook Group and on Instagram so we can see what you have created.

Happy crafting,
Melanie

Skyland Scrapbooking with Amanda!

Hi Citrus Twist Friends & Fans!

Amanda here, & I am super-dee-duper excited to be posting my first official layouts with our gorgeous kits! For today's post I'm sharing the Skyland Scrapbook Kit love!
This kit is just magical! So many beautiful papers and embellishments, with sooooo many creative possibilities!

I have created two very clean & fresh designs - here's the first,
"Present & in Awe"

Sigh! Isn't this divine?!!
I just LOVE our printable Digital Files, and am determined to feature them each month - they're SO good! I've combined the Skyland Journaling Cards & free Cut Aparts with the white cardstock and Pinkfresh Studio: Simple & Sweet Die Cuts with Golf Foil, Epoxy Stickers and Fabric Die Cuts. Did I mention that I love me some Pinkfresh Studio?! The Simple & Sweet line is so soft and dreamy, and the pastel tones partner perfectly with our Skyland Digital Files.

I love layering patterns and colors, and with our awesome Digital Files, you can print and cut as many layers, tabs and die cuts as you need!
I matte my photo onto an array of Skyland Journaling Cards, and Cut Aparts, and then embellish my photograph with all those pretty blooms! For added impact, I mount my title onto foam, and position it over the base of my sweet girl's picture.

Both the top and base of my layout are embellished with Skyland Cut Aparts and Die Cut Ephemera tags, and tabs.

The Pinkfresh Studio Fabric Die Cuts are SO cool, that I just have to include one on my layout, as well as a couple of the Epoxy Stickers for good measure! Love it!
Simple & Sweet indeed!

Next up is an 8.5 x 11" masculine layout,
"Seek Out The Joy"

Let's hear it for the boys!!!
What a crisp, clean and super fun page for the special guys in my life! I should add that I have included the Webster's Pages: Pretty Plaid paper from this month's Pattern Paper Play kit.
That plaid woodgrain paper is just divine, and I could easily use another 10 sheets of it!
Vintage book paper, on the other hand,  isn't something I feature in my creating that often. So I set myself a challenge to use it in my layouts this month. I am so glad I did! The 'raw' and somewhat edgy look of this ledger paper is just awesome for embellishing a masculine layout with! And yes, I may have to get back on the vintage band wagon - I totally loved this!

To maintain the masculinity of this page, I drew on the black embellishments from the Pinkfresh Studio Die Cuts & Epoxy Stickers, as well as the chambray Fabric Die Cuts. Bold, strong and striking adornments for my two boys!

I also embellish with gold foil accents throughout my page, including those Chipboard Alpha Stickers from Echo Park's Imagine That collection.

Yes, this! Seek Out The Joy!!!
Such a wonderful everyday moment to document.

And there you have it! Two very different layouts from our July Skyland Scrapbook Kit.
I hope I have inspired you to get creating with yours!

3-to-Inspire with Nathalie

Hi there!

Nathalie with you today with  the first challenge of the month.  The new "Cypress" kits are so gorgeous, that i was inspired to create two projects using the same prompts in different formats.  But before i show you what i created, let me share this week's challenge prompts:

  • Use a limited color palette
  • Add stitching (either hand, machine or faux stitching) to your project
  • Use digital elements (cut files, cut apart sheets, etc)
Here is the first of two projects created with these prompts:

This month's Cypress PL kit is packed with CTK exclusives, and totally sublime designs and colors, plus the Scrapbook kit includes a Traveler's Notebook Insert which is the one i am using for this page. My choice was to use all things pink (or that had pink) in this layout.

I chose to layer some of the  printable digital PL cards behind the picture.  I love having the option of sizing the cards to fit into my projects, plus I can easily print them on copy paper which helps to reduce the bulkiness of the pages.

To balance the picture, I created a large cluster of elements from the June 2018 cut apart sheet.  I added a bit of journaling to one of the pieces, and then just layered more cut outs around it.  I used very little tape on this page, as i chose to secure most of the layout using some sewing machine stitching.

Love how easy it was to put this together following this week's prompts.  But now, let me show you the second project created with the same prompts.

The inspiration for this page was the acrylic pieces that are included in the  Cypress Scrapbook kit,  the color of the acrylic was the inspiration for this layout's cooler palette.  The teal/ light blue color in the background (created using this month's Mixed Media add on) provides the perfect  canvas for the  picture and embellishments.

This month's digitals are  amazing, from cut files to the cut apart sheet,  so i took advantage of the Doodle Heart cut file to create this layering die cut, and then pulled all the pieces from the cut apart sheet that followed the color palette, and used them to embellish the page.

Once again, I chose to secure some of the pieces (cut out and map) to the page using a bit of machine stitching.   The texture it adds to the page is lovely, but also i chose to leave a large tail behind each stitching line, so that it adds to the movement of the page - think of it as water waves-.

This page came together so nicely using this month's Cypress main, embelishment and mixed media kits.  The following video will show you a more in-depth look at how this page came together:

Now it is your turn to use this three prompts to create projects of your own.  Remember to tag Citrus Twist Kits (use the handle @citrustwistkits or hashtag #citrustwistkits) when sharing your projects on social media.   You can also share your finish projects in the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook.

I cannot wait to see how you use these prompts, and all the projects created with this month's Cypress kits.  Remember I am always a comment away of you have questions on how any of the projects came together.

XO
