This week we have our guest designer, Christine Newman (U.S.) playing with our weekly sketch. She has used the My Mind's Eye wood paper as the backdrop for a wonderful, playful, embellishment-filled layout.
To play along this week and for a chance to win $5 to spend at CTK store, upload your projects based on this week sketch to the CTK gallery. You have time until Oct 18th and please include "Sketch 10/12" in the description.
I created a page about our trip to Maui and bicycling down the volcano Haleakala. I used the October scrapbook kit, plus white cardstock, vellum, and sequiins from my stash.
When a piece of patterned paper has word art in a corner, I love to incorporate that into the overall design of my layout. Biking down a volcano seemed appropriate for the adventure theme!
I typed out journaling in Photoshop, then printed it out on white cardstock and cut them into strips. Then I adhered them to the page.
I cut out part of the title, the word "bicycling", with my Silhouette digital cutter using white cardstock.
I layered embellishments and diecuts around my photo, propping some up with foam adhesive to create more dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!!
