Hello, everyone! Melissa here with you on a lovely Sunday to share another one of Kasia's fantastic sketches along with my take on it.
I absolutely loved the framing that Kasia set up in this sketch, particularly the large strip of paper running down the middle of a background sheet. You can choose to make that sheet either patterned or plain, and after trying both I decided on the aqua Chic Tags paper from the November main kit. The little gold foil accents looked a bit like mountains to me when I paired them up with this photo, shot in the middle of Wyoming on a trip to Grand Teton National Park.
There are always lots of options when it comes to using a sketch, and so many ways you can make it your own. Kasia's original sketch included a pennant banner in the top right, and I swapped it out for a floral sticker from the Carta Bella Wildflower sheet in this month's embellishment add-on. The sticker is popped up on some foam dots, and you can see one of the @fabstagram camera stamps peeking out from underneath it.
The sunburst element in the sketch is a fun touch, and I pulled out a misting mask and some aqua mist to recreate that shape on my page. You could also piece this together with one or more patterned papers or even stamp it if you happen to have a stamp with that design.
And now it's your turn to show us what you can do with this sketch! To show us your work and enter for the chance to win a $5 gift certificate to the Citrus Twist store, upload your layout to our gallery between now and next Saturday, November 23. Be sure to include "Sketch 11/17" somewhere in your layout title!
