Friends & Fika - 3 to Inspire with Anna

Hi dear friends!
Anna here with you today bringing you this week's 3-to-Inspire challenge. I just love this month's Life Crafted Fierce & Fabulous Kit! Lots of  happy colors, gorgeous designs and so versatile which made creating with it super easy. Also that absolutely stunning rainbow subscriber exclusive cut file (designed by Nathalie) made everything come together so smooth. Well let's have a look at the prompts I've choosen.

  1. Use color mist/watercolors on your background, preferably more than one color.
  2. Use Digital files (Stamps/Cut Files/ Cut apart elements/PL cards/TN papers/)
  3. Use more than two patterned papers.

With these prompts my 12x12 layout came up so easily and I had so much fun while creating.
Now it's your turn to dig into your kit's and play along with us in this challenge.

Here's what I created.

My first promt, use color mist I bet you can find pretty easy here, lol! I've use three different colors and I love the sprinkle effect it made for my page.

Promt no 2 and 3 you can spy on this close up. I've used the rainbow cut file together with not less than FIVE different papers. So many beautiful papers and I'm so hapy that I could fit them in here. Color happiness!!

To finish this happy page I used a few puffy Stickers as well as a few die cut pieces. They are just gorgeous.

Now I do really hope this challenge inspires you to create a project of your own. Be sure to head over to the website and check the kits for this month as well as the different stamps that are available in the CTK shop.
Also please do ask me if you have any questions and I will try to help out.

All the best until next time! Anna xo

Mixed Media Scrapbooking with Adele

Hey scrappy peeps!

Today I am tackling several of my scrappy fears...a combination of patterned paper background, multicolour and butterflies. All three of these things are out of my comfort zone, as you'll hear in my accompanying process video...especially the butterflies!

I started my page by adding some white gesso to this bright and fun background paper. I also added some modelling paste through a small circle stencil.

I matted my photo once and adhered it to my page. Then it was time to get embellishy!! I decided to use butterflies for this layout as the photo I was scrapping was very outdoorsy and nature-y and butterflies always remind me of these things.

I used a combination of pieces from the gorgeous embellishment pack and rub ons. I was surprised at how beautifully the rub ons went over the top of the modelling paste!

I love the mixture of paper embellies, the rub ons and the sprinkling of teeny puffy stickers in my clusters.

I added my title using the small puffy stickers, along with some simple journaling on a label from this month's PL Kit.

I hope you enjoyed this layout! Make sure to watch my video below if you'd like to see the process from start to finish! :)

Documenting The Little Moments with Nathalie

Hello friends!
Nathalie with you today to show you how versatile the new Malibu kits are.  This month's kits are bold, colorful and a bit tropical, but they can easily be used to document those everyday moments easily.

By now you all know that i love to combine cut files and mixed media, so i took advantage of  one of this month's free cut files (there are quite a few free digitals being added to the CTK shop monthly!!)

I used the Floral Drops cut file to create the background of this page.  I simply cut it twice from white cardstock, and pretty much sandwiched patterned paper in between the two cut outs.  This just adds a bit of movement to the florals, and enhances all the patterns in this month's Malibu scrapbook and Patterned Paper kit.

Well, for the mixed media, i wanted to create a colorful background where the florals will sit, so I played with some Distress Oxides to create a watercolor background in the colors of  the papers in the kit.  I based the colors of the papers used  -when backing the cut out- on their placement on the background.

A bit of foam adhesive just adds some extra dimension to the florals, and makes them bring life to the page; Which is perfect for this  regular/eveyday picture of my husband and i (we were sitting on the carpet with our baby, so i reached for the phone and snapped a few selfies) .

I used a combination of the ephemera and stickers (from the  main kit)  with the CTK monthly printable and some of the embellishments to form clusters and add a title to the page.

I love how easy it was to put life into an ordinary picture of us (trust me this is us every day!) using this month's kits.  The following video will give you a  more in depth look at how the page came together:

That is all for me today, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions on how the page came together, and stop by the Citrus Twist Kits website to check the kits and the digitals.  I am looking forward to seeing what you all make with these kits!

XO
