Can you believe it's already February? I'm back with my pocket life pages using the the February PL Unforgettable kit along with the romantic Love Is All We Need PL embellishment kit.
Let's take a look at my week 6 spread for 2015 shall we? I've made some thought on my pocket life pages this year and I will be recording my stories in a mixture of pocket life and scrapbook pages. The scrapbook page is usually an "addition" to one of the photos during that week.
So here is my full spread for week 6.
Here is my traditional pocket life page on the left side. Since I don't take enough photos during the week, 1 page was good enough for me.
See that fun star background? Scroll down to download the cut file! I layered the colour cardstock underneath for a colourful background before adhering a gold label on top.
Here is the right side for a traditional scrapbook page. I expanded on my "starbucks collection" story and took a few shots of my favourite cards.
I began by cutting up the coloured cardstock in tiny squares. The gold squares? I cut down the gold heart stickers from the PL main kit :) I laid them out on a piece of 12x12 paper and stitched them in place.
Here is a close up of the stitching, the photos and the journaling. The word snippet stickers were just perfect for this!
Here is your PL sketch and a background cut file for you to use!

Playing with Pocket Life with Sam
Eeeekkk…. Cant believe this is the last day of February right? This means we are done with 1/6 of year 2014. Today Sam is sharing my February PL pages that I used February Pocket Life kit and PL embellie kit. I printed all the photos in February and just work on them one by one. Let's look at my pages first:
I didn't have any plans when I started creating. I just know I could work on 16 pieces of 3x4 cards and 16 pieces of 4x6 cards. I didn't even plan the placement of the photos and cards to make sure they look cohesive together. But I love how FUN and UNEXPECTED it turned out!
The white card with 'No. 1' is my favourite 3x4 card in the kit. I love how simple it looks. So I added an airy photo to go along with it. I added a yellow crochet bow (that I have made) on the 'Think Happy' card.

p.s. I die cuts some cork embellishment using my own supplies to go with the kraft colour in the kit.

And this is another double spreads with even more filler cards.
I added the sequin pockets that I made with a fox stamp from my supplies to go with the photo next to it. We saw someone caught a civet (luwak, something like a raccoon) in our neighbourhood. So we paid the guy some money and took over the civet to let it go at a jungle nearby. This is definitely something worth PL-ing - how often do you see a civet anyway? ;)
Did you notice the card with yellow background? I actually didn't use much of the alpha sticker sheet (From OCtober Afternoon Daily Flash) that came with the PL Embellie kit this month, So I just trim it down to 2 pieces of 4x6 to use as my PL cards. I think it looks kind of cute with pops of colour!
And here's the sketch for this week PL post:
Thanks for looking! XoXo

BE INSPIRED BY FRAMES
Hello and happy Thursday
everyone! It’s Tanya here with you today and I want to share my two
projects. They were inspired by pictures
with frames I had found on Pinterest.
I worked with the February Main kit and
used some embellishments from February “This is My Life”
Embellishment Kit. I love this photo shot. It was taken by my 5 year old
daughter this winter.
I used a large frame from the
embellishment kit as a center detail of a pages.
After fixing all fames on a page
I added lines with a pen imitating strings.
The second layout is about my
little daughter. She’s left-handed as I am and loves to draw as I do as well.
Those green and yellow circles
are made with watercolor.
And I also used enamel pop drops to emphasize them.
Have a wonderful day!!!

6x6 Paper Pad with Kasia
Hi! For today’s 6x6
paper play I decided to go a bit of my comfort zone and create a very busy and
colorful background. You can do it easily with papers which come from the small paper pads as the colours already coordinate but if you want to experiment this tutorial could be also used with any scraps which you have laying around!
I picked some of the 6x6 papers from February Pocket Life kit;
glued them and stitched with my sewing machine. I cut them and stitched again
creating kind of patchwork.
After I was happy with the result I attached this base to piece of plain cardstock and layered a simple composition with products coming mostly from February Pocket Life kit and Pocket Life embellie kit. I also grabbed some small pieces from the main kit which as you know coordinates perfectly with Pocket Life kits! Here is my finished layout:

Playing with Pocket Life with Melissa
Happy Pocket Life Friday, everyone! Melissa here, and you'll be seeing a lot of me this week and next since several of my posts got bunched together on the schedule this month!
My layout today covers the week of August 25-31, 2013, and I pulled out lots of yummy fall-ish reds and yellows to make a warm-toned layout to go with my late summer photos.
Looking at the dates for this layout, you've probably noticed that I'm a fair bit "behind" in this album right now. Am I stressing over that, though? Not one bit! I have a very loose approach to Project Life that works well for me and keeps me from getting hung up on not having every week scrapped yet. It's a philosophy I shared here before a year or so ago, but since there are new people trying this project out (and signing up for Citrus Twist's kits!) all the time, I thought I'd recap in hopes of helping some of you not feel stressed, too!
My journey with Project Life started in 2009, when I took the "photo a day" approach to my album. After finishing that, I took 2010 off, only to miss it terribly and pick it right back up again in 2011. I continued with the photo a day approach until late May 2011, when I found that that particular format just didn't inspire me any longer, and I decided not to continue. It was in September of that same year that I discovered the more creative side of the project, where scrappers were using different sized photos, not strictly following a one-photo-per-day format, and were embellishing and using regular supplies, not just the ones branded for the project. I was hooked and in love again, and I picked my album back up and started in September of 2011 using a completely different approach.
I made the decision at that time that I wanted to go back and fill in the missing weeks between May and September as I had time, so I'm not just behind on Project Life now- I've been behind since late 2011! And I've learned that being behind is a good thing for me, for several reasons:
My best piece of advice for those who are stressing out over their Project Life albums is to take a step back and evaluate a few things. Is your approach to the photo portion of the album the right one for you? Try some different sizes or differing the number of photos per week and see what works for you! Are you frustrated because you're behind, or because you're working through your weeks (or months) chronologically and are stuck on a set of photos that just doesn't inspire you? Try skipping around! Are weekly layouts not thrilling you because they seem to be piling up, or you don't have enough photos? Try a monthly approach, a quarterly approach, or whatever works for you! The bottom line is, define how you want your album to flow on your terms, define your own level of success (it doesn't have to be completed weeks- I'm personally happy as long as my photo editing is reasonably caught up), and then let the rest go and enjoy the process!

- I can order prints for several weeks/months at a time from a developer, making it more economical than printing at home on a weekly basis.
- I can skip around weeks and choose photos that best match the supplies that I want to work with. This alone makes having several weeks of layouts ready to be scrapped worth it, because it keeps me inspired by letting me work with what makes me most creatively excited at any given time.
- I can work on steps in batches- editing photos for several weeks, having them printed all at once (as mentioned above), and even scrapping several weeks all at once. Basically, I can pick up my album and work on any part of the scrapbooking process that I feel like playing with at any give time. It rocks!

6x6 Paper Play with Sam
Hi everyone and happy Wednesday! This is Sam to share a layout using Kelly Purkey Mon Ami collection paper pad that came in the Pocket Life kit in February. To be honest, I was in a creative rut this month because I have zillions things-to-so on my list and also I just don't feel like scrapping. I guess I was still in the Chinese New Year (holiday) mood and thus getting lazier by the day. As I was flipping the paper pad and checking out Citrus Twist blog for some inspiration, I came across this Sunday Sketch on 9 February blog post and decided to play along.
Here's the sketch on 9/Feb/2014:
And this is my layout using the sketch with a lot of white space. I swap the multi photos placement to single photo because I am more use to scrapping single photo layout. Added a lot of RED to the layout just because this photo of us was taken on 1st day of Chinese New Year. Chinese love wearing red during new year as we believe this would bring us prosperity and good luck.
I used the TODAY tag from Pocket Life Embellie kit as title and stamped the date on it.
I also added 3 crochet bows that I made myself on the layout to create visual triangle.
Thanks for looking! I hope you would play along with over Sunday Sketch every week and share with us in the gallery too! XoXoXo
