Simple Strategies with Tanya

Hello and happy Monday! It´s Tanya here today to show you a simple strategy post using gorgeous June Seriously Happy Add-On Kit. Well, I have a simple strategy tip which always works for me - making you own pattern background.

I decided to use white textured cardstock from the kit as a background
and add cut triangles to make a pattern.

After gluing all triangles I added some yellow and green watercolour to make it look more bright and fresh.

I used the same strategy to make my card - triangles plus watercolour.

I made four marks with a pencil in a place where I'm going to glue the frame before apply the watercolour.

Be Inspired with Tanya

Hi there! It's Tanya and I want to share my project using new June "Seriously Happy" Add-On kit! Have you seen it? Isn't it gorgeous?! So recently I came across one beautiful picture on Pinterest and decided to use its composition on my layout. I reflected it vertically.

I used Allison Kreft Capture Life (Echo Park) paper sheet as a background. Bokeh effect is very popular these days :) And those cute little frames are cut from Inked Rose Frames (WRMK) patterned paper including the frame around the photo.

I glued the arrows from the Favorite Things Ephemera kit (Heidi Swapp) the white side up to add the dimension on my layout and in the same time not to increase the weight of my composition with lots of bright spots.

SUNDAY SKETCH WITH Tanya

Hi!! It's Tanya and today it's my turn to share with you our new sketch! I made two layouts using May 2014 Sparkle and Shine Main Kit May 2014 Happy Girl Embellishment Kit.

I love May main kit! It's so vivid and bright. So I decided to make another layout with the photos of my little nephew. I combined four pictures in one and framed them with Hello World photo corners (Websters Pages).

  post_picture_1

I used a lot of shapes cut out on my Silhouette machine: big camera, speech bubbles and love circle.

Here are the Daydreamer wood buttons (Dear Lizzy) which you will find in the May Happy Girl Embellishment Kit. I peeled of the stickers from them and use as usual buttons.

And here is my second take on the sketch. I flipped it horizontally. I didn't used fours photographs, instead I cut my big photograph in four smaller rectangles and highlighted the part with me with the gold photo frame.

DIY Shop Scene cork Thickers (American Crafts) looks amazing on all projects!
And those little Gold enamel Dots (Studio Calico), aren't they splendid?

The gold photo clip is from the main kit and red star clip I cut out on my Silhouette.

Tuesday Tutorial with Tanya Batrak

Hello, everyone! It's Tanya here and I have a project and a little tutorial for you. Hope you'll like it! I've made a layout about my cute little nephew using April 2014 Picture Perfect Main Kit and It is Written Embellishment Kit.

I started with layering different pieces of paper and paper embellishments.
I used white cardstock as a background.

Then I decided to add some watercolor which matches the color of my nephew's hoodie.

Now I'll show you how I've made the little branch with leaves.
I cut three small pieces of wire and glued leaves to them using my heat gun.

Now I need to add some watercolor which matches the leaves to harmonize the colors on photo with other parts of my layout.

After that I splattered my page with the same two shades of green.

In the very end I added a few black splashes and some little black spots with April 2014 Being Me Stamp.

Simple Strategies with Tanya

Hello! It's Tanya here and I want to share a layout made with March main "Fireflies" kit - amazingly bright and colourful kit. And it has so many cute embellishments. Love those wood frames and big butterflies!

Today's post is all about simple strategies. And I want to show how you can use both sides of the double-sided paper at once. At first make little cuts on paper and than  curl the edges with your fingers. I love how yellow colour pops up on edges!

And here are some close-ups. The word "click" I've made using Studio Calico Mistabels letters.
I've sprayed it with light green ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoy playing with the March Kit!

BE INSPIRED BY FRAMES

Hello and happy Thursday everyone! It’s Tanya here with you today and I want to share my two projects. They were inspired by pictures with frames I had found on Pinterest.

Image sources:1,2,3,4

I worked with the February Main kit and used some embellishments from February This is My Life Embellishment Kit. I love this photo shot. It was taken by my 5 year old daughter this winter.

I used a large frame from the embellishment kit as a center detail of a pages.

After fixing all fames on a page I added lines with a pen imitating strings.

The second layout is about my little daughter. She’s left-handed as I am and loves to draw as I do as well.

Those green and yellow circles are made with watercolor.
And I also used enamel pop drops to emphasize them.

Have a wonderful day!!!

KIT USED: February “Good Life” Main kit, February “This is My Life” Embellishment Kit
