Pocket Page Challenge with Erica

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing week 44 in my Project Life album using some of the beautiful new releases from December.

I started with the Maggie Holmes Sweet Story paper pad and chose a few papers to compliment my photos. I was very drawn to the gold foil pages, and I loved the rainbow design- it echoes the multi colour confetti in my 'where I stand' photo.

I had a lot of smaller photos this week, so when that happens I like to create little mini layouts on my 4x6 cards. This generally involves layering with a lot of ephemera and stamps. I dove into the Floral Die-cuts wholeheartedly this time!

I really wanted to capture the sign from the scrapbook expo I attended so I cut it out of a photo that wasn't anything special. I layered a few die-cuts beneath it,  and since the banner was actually hanging and not straight at all I curved my stamp to match. I stamped a few extra sentiments from the Get Messy stamp to finish the card.

The other gorgeous ephemera pack available this month is the Tickets & Tags die-cuts. I found this adorable sold ticket that works great for my craft haul photo. I paired it with a stamped sentiment and a giant floral. I also bought in a little more gold foil from the cards with some chipboard stars from my CTK stash.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today!

2020 Recap by Angela

Hello everyone!
It's Angela here. I can't believe we are almost at the end of this crazy year. It's been so strange and sometimes hard to deal with and I am really looking forward to the new year to start.

This page is a multiple photo 12 x 12 inch layout to recap the year.
I created a collage in photoshop and printed it on photo paper. I left 0.24 inch of white border around and cut the excess. The collage measures in total 11 x 5 inches.

Underneath, I added two patterned papers from Marigold 6 x 8 paper pad that you can find in the shop. For the title, I used the Citrus Twist exclusive black Foam Alphabet Stickers and the green Puffy Alphabet Stickers, while 2020 is printed with Big Numbers Stamp. This stamp set has three different fonts and I used a combination of the three to write the date.

To decorate, I created three clusters of embellishments using the Tickets & Tags and the Floral ephemera pack from this month.

I also added a few chipboard Stars on the photo collage, without covering any face, just to add a bit of color to the clack and white photo.

That's all for today, my friends. I hope you liked the page and I wish you all the best for the new year.
Love, NG

Life Crafted with Sabrina Poole

Hey everyone! This is Sabrina with a fun Life Crafted project. I decided to use the amazing new stamp set- Get Messy - as my focus. This stamp set is the perfect stamp sets for all the makers, documenting the crafty projects and celebrating all things creative.

I pulled a few photos to document myself and creative aspects in August and I used the Maggie Holmes 6x8 paper pad Sweet Story. I was inspired by the paper with the various funky frames on it and went with that to come up with a design around it. I cut out the pink and green frames and measured the inside of the frames so I could fit some photos in there. Even though the spots are SUPER tiny I knew it would still make for a unique way to document and frame creative aspects of my month in August.

Once I had the photos adhered to the frames I decided to do a horizontal design across both pages. I then added in some diecuts to go above and below the frames. My next stamp was to add in a bunch of different phrases from the Get Messy stamp set like 'creative queen', 'get creative', 'yes', and 'creative space'.

For my title I stamped out 'my space' and didn't worry too much if the letters were straight; but I didn't like how the title reminded me of an old network website- 'myspace'. Remember that place? So I added in 'favorite' above the space as a fun way to say 'my favorite space'.

My final touch was to add 2 chipboard stars and stamped hearts. I love how this spread came together and I know I will be using the stamp set- Get Messy- for many more projects.

Thank you for taking a look at my project!

December Documenting with Erica

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing Day 19 in my 2019 December Daily album. I can't even begin to think about 2020's album until I get this done! I've used a wide selection of the digital files available this month, as well as two of the new stamp sets and the Sparkle & Joy kit.

Day 19 was all about watching a classic Christmas movie by the tree and snacking on holiday treats. On my left-hand side page I've used one of the digital TN pages and layered it with ephemera from the Sparkle & Joy kit and the Tickets & Tags diecuts. I used the gorgeous new Big Numbers stamps to display my day at the top, and the Currently stamp to create a custom title.

On my right page I used a selection of the digital Journal Cards and decorated them with stickers and ephemera from the Sparkle & Joy kit. I love the texture the puffy stickers add! The right card is actually one of the digital Tags from Sparkle & Joy. I simply added stripes on the sides with colours from the other cards to create a 3x4.

I loved this speech bubble card and definitely had to add a quote from the movie! I created my journaling in Photoshop with a typewriter font and printed and cut it into stripes. I finished it off with a festive puffy sticker.

Thanks for joining me on the blog today! Happy December documenting!

Pocket Life Challenge | Patricia

Hello CTK Friends!  I've been very inspired by the products available this month as well as the cut files.  I started this pocket page project with the first inspiration I had of using this fold out cut file from the December Screen cut files.

I cut it from white cardstock.  A way to add a little bit of pattern to it was I placed the pattern paper under the cut out, traced as best I could to get a general guide, and then trimmed and adhered it to the top, finishing it with some die cuts and chipboard.

For the inside, I sized and trimmed a photo to fit the entire area.  I used the blue foam alphas along with the Chloe Regular alpha stamp in white pigment ink to go along with the design of my daughter's first tutu.  The 'tutu' is from the gold alpha stickers in the Fall kit from November.

I really wanted to include three photos, but I did not have a pocket available for it.  I love the adhesive strips because you can trim them to fit where you need it.  This also allowed a spot for journaling.  I used one of the TN Basics digitals, cropped just the pattern, and then typed my journaling to print, trim, and adhere to the back of this photo, while tucking in another die cut in between them.

I used the music paper from the Marigold 6x8 paper pad in the shop to fill four of my pockets.  I printed my photo as a 4x4, trimmed and filled the center 4 2"x2" pockets.  Next I used the Big Numbers to stamp the date of these photos, then die cut them into circles to adhere over the pattern paper.

I added 'good choice' from the Currently stamp and a die cut onto one section of the photo.  For the die cut at the top of the photo, I stapled it on the outside and in between the pockets, so I can add another pocket to the back side for more documenting.

So my 3 challenges for you are:

Use a cut file with a photo
Use a large photo to trim and fill multiple pockets
Use the Big Numbers to date and work within the design of your pockets

Happy Creating!

Life Crafted | Patricia

Hello Friends!  There is no shortage of creativity with Citrus Twist Kits Exclusives and products available.  There's still so many options.  Today, I'm sharing two Life Crafted projects.

This first one uses the pattern paper from the Marigold 6x8 paper pad with a die cut tag I cut out in the center and backed with white cardstock.  This gave me a place to add my square photo and then cluster the die cuts, and stamping around it.  The bow is plain cardstock I cut from a metal die.

I trimmed squares of paper paper to repeat the pattern on the left and to break it up creating a balance of one heavy page, and one lighter page.  Using the Chloe Regular Alphas Stamp set, I stamped 'a' in grey ink in-between the squares and more stamping with the Get Messy stamp set.  The 'a' finished my mixed title of the blue foam alphas 'Just a Swinging.'  Anyone remember that Country and Western song?  LOL

This next Life Crafted spread shared on Instagram last week creates a mixed title with the yellow foam alphas and the Chloe Regular Alpha Stamp stamped in white pigment ink on my photo.

I used the new Big Numbers stamp of the '2020' on the left, then filled in with journaling, die cuts, chipboard, and die cut trees from the Marigold 6x8 paper pad.

More stamping filled in on this page with the Currently stamp set.

I'm so happy that Trina is giving more attention to her family and making a way for us to have her wonderful exclusives as well as other manufacturer products to create with.  Her exclusives are always my favorite to work with!

More December Documenting Inspiration with Guest Designer Sarah Bargo

Hey paper peeps, guest designer Sarah Bargo here, and I wanted to share a few more pages that I've been working on in my gorgeous Red Life Crafted Album! I used the darling Sparkle & Joy kit to document a cookie party I hosted in December of 2018, the colors were just so fun and perfect!

This night was so special because my older son made it home for Christmas (he's a college student), also my mom flew in from Arizona to be here! So it was just a really fun night and such a blessing to have them here, I just had to document it!

Thanks for checkin out my pages! It was such a fun thing to scrap, it brought back so many funny memories! By the end of the night there was frosting everywhere lol! Thank you so much to Citrus Twist Kits for having me, and I hope you all have a very merry and blessed Christmas!

Love, Sarah
