Magic - Chasing Rainbows Life Crafted Kit & Album
Hi dear friends! Anna here with you today sharing some lovely scrappy inspiration.
Hope you have been enjoying the August Life Crafted Kit as much as I do, so easy to play with and so versatile.
Today I'll share a spread for my Life Crafted Album. By the way have you seen all the new gorgeous colors of those albums in shop? I loved me a new yellow one this month, so pretty.
Enough babbling, here's what I came up with.
I think this beautiful quote on this lovely blue PL-Card worked just perfect for my photo from one of my walks this summer. The sky was just magic this night. Also I've used one of the gorgeous cut files (Subscribers exclusive) designed by our Nathalie. I love that it's just perfect sized to match the Life Crafted Albums.
Of course i add a few stitches using my old trusty sewing machine.
These light blue puffy alpha stickers are just awesome. Perfect size and the font is just darling, don't you agree?
I mounted those vellum stickers on a piece of white cardstock to enhance the text and color on it. Then i completed my page adding a few of those cute little chipboard circles.
And there you have it! Hope you found some inspiration here today. Now it's your turn to dig into your scrappy goodies. Don't forget to share with us on Instagram @citrustwistkits #citrustwistkits and/or our CTK Fan Page on Facebook. Can't wait to see what you'll create!
See you soon! Anna xo

Guest Designer - INGUNN MARKIEWICZ
Hi there!
This month we also have the super inspiring INGUNN MARKIEWICZ as one of our guest designers. She has created a new project using the Chasing Rainbows kit, and i am sure you are going to love it.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Hi
guys! For my second guest post here, I want to share a couple of different ways
I approach highlighting photos in my Life Crafted albums. When we hike, my
husband and I take a gazillion photos (it's like a sickness, but we can't
stop). Once in a while, one of those photos turns out really lovely and also
takes me right back to the moment. That's when I go BIG.
I
printed my photo to 9.5 inches by 8.25 inches, cut it in half, and punched
holes directly into the photo. I didn't want to distract too much from the
photo, so I just cut down one of the 3x4 cards as my title and printed a little
journaling spot from one of the digital printable elements. (The line around it
was originally pink, so I recolored it in Photoshop to be turquoise instead.)
As a
final touch, I stapled some of the acetate florals behind the cards. The flower
behind the title cards is actually one piece, but I cut it in half so it could
stick out on both sides of the card.
When
I want to squeeze in a bunch of little photos in a spread instead of going big,
I like to make a fold-out insert.
Here
I cut out the sentiment from one of the 3x4 cards and glued it to the 6x4
floral card that I had cut down to fit the pocket. I used a 6x8 divided page
protector with 4 3x4 pockets (this one is from Ali Edwards and the holes line
up perfectly!) and folded it in half to create homes for extra photos and my
journaling (happily, the back of the floral card was the perfect spot for my
journaling - I love when I can use both sides of a card like that). I also
added two of the chipboard circles to make it easier to open my fold-out.
To
finish up my spread, I added acetate pieces wherever I could (I'm addicted to those
things now!) and used the rest of the floral card in the bottom pocket to tie
the pages together a little bit.
Thank
you so much for having me on and letting me do some crafty therapy with your
gorgeous products!
WOW!! These are just so beautiful and inspiring! Thank you so much INGUNN for sharing your documenting talent with us. Remember to follow Ingunn on Social media, you will love her work!!!

Create your own patterned paper with stamps!
Hi Guys! Diane here to show you how to create your own totally customisable pattern paper using the Simple Words Version 2 stamp set! Okay, technically you can use any stamp set, but this one is perfect!
The first step is to remove the backing sheet from your stamp set but leave all the stamps attached! Then add some double sided tape to the front of the stamp set sheet and stick it to a very large block. If you don't have a stamp block large enough, try using something else large and flat, but it needs to be clear!
Ink up the entire set and stamp it onto your paper. You can use plain paper like I did, or tey adding the stamping over top of an existing patterned paper. Choose a colour to coordinate with your photos. You could make cards for your pocket pages or even a full 12x12 sheet! Endless options.
To add a little colour, I used two different blue highlighters to highlight different phrases in the pattern. Try to spread any colour you add around the page but feel free to make it as random as you like! And that's it. Simple right?!
Once the pattern paper was created, I really simple put the page together but adding some patterned paper from the Life Crafted kit to mat my photos, cut a few labels from the cut apart sheet, added a title and a cork sticker and then popped some journalling into the blank space on my photo. The whole thing took 25 minutes from start to finish!

Sunday Sketch with Laura Rahel
Hey friends! Welcome to another edition of Sunday Sketch. Today I'm sharing a gorgeous layout I made for a friend using photos of her little one. It's such a colorful and fun layout, I hope you enjoy it!
You can see how I created this page in the process video over on my Patron. I love how it turned out! It's so colorful and fun for a summer baby layout. I had to modify the sketch to fit within my 8.5x11 size layout. I did a huge title up top that I hand stitched and backed with the wood grain paper from this month's kit. I also brought more of that wood grain patterned paper down to my photo mat, as well as some colorful yellow lemon patterned paper from kit. Perfect for these summertime plant nursery photos! I made sure to sprinkle lots of bright yellow around the page and love how it turned out.
Happy Sunday friends, hope you get creative using your kit today!

3 To Inspire with Kelli
Hello! It's Kelli here. Today I am sharing a pocket page made with the August kit. My husband and I attended a Gala with a delicious dinner and then Mary Poppins the musical play. It was a fun night and I loved documenting it in my scrapbook.
The cards and papers in this kit were perfect for this. I loved how playful and happy this collection is.
Here are 3 things to try on your next project:
1) Add a tangible item- I used our tickets from the play
2) Add typed journaling- I used my vintage typewriter
3) Add staples- I used them to attach my labels and tickets
Thanks for joining me today! Have a great weekend.

August Life Crafted with Amanda Baldwin
Hi CTK Friends & Fans!
Amanda here, sharing some more August Life Crafted: Chasing Rainbows Kit inspiration!
If you missed my scrapbook layout post earlier this month, you can go back and check it out HERE.
For today's post, I am totally focusing on documenting the everyday stories in my Life Crafted Album. Nothing fancy or time consuming - just simple, beautiful everyday moments recorded!
Here's what I have created with the Chasing Rainbows Kit....
"This Kid"
How sweet is this?!
I've been going to scrap these photos for sometime now, but never really found the right collection to do it with. Until now! The designs on the exclusive pattern papers are similar to the one on my son's shirt, and partner perfectly! The cool blues & teal with the white base create such a refreshing, and modern look. A light & fun color palette for Summer pages. Love it!
Here's how these pages look in my Life Crafted Album.....
To add emphasis to my photographs, I layered both of them on 3 x 4 note cards, and kept embellishments to a minimum. You'll spy a few tabs and hearts, and of course, those incredible printed cork stickers. The cork adds a touch of warmth & balance, and connects the color photograph to both pages.
I used the vellum tape stickers for a tiny spot of journaling, and finished with the Turquoise Puffy Alphabet Stickers title.
Simple, but so effective!
Next up, I created a page for my darling daughter, using some of the gorgeous florals in this month's kit....
Sigh! SO pretty!
Another really simple design that only takes a minute to create.
Here's how.....
Simply trim the pink floral pattern paper to 5" x 8".
Adhere the 3" x 8" bookmark onto the pink floral paper, about half an inch from the left hand side.
Next, back your photograph onto the yellow bloom 3" x 4" note card, and mount it to the bookmark with thick foam tape.
Embellish with an acrylic heart, sentiment from the Digital Printable Cutapart Sheet, and that awesome Printed Cork adornment.
Voila!
Super pretty & with minimum fuss!
The Life Crafted Kits make memory keeping a breeze, especially for those of us who are time poor!
Here's another double pager from my Life Crafted Album, recording the simple things in life....
Life's little pleasures, indeed! I absolutely LOVE the colors in this month's kit! So much variety, and a perfect mix of Summer blending into Fall!
For the page on the left, I have used a 5" x 8" sheet of smooth white cardstock and layered it with note cards. I used the acetate ephemera for my title at the base of my page, and then embellished with printed cork, a chipboard sticker, and a vellum tape sentiment.
For the page on the right, I opted for a pattern paper base, which I mostly covered with smooth white cardstock. I oversized the bloom pattern tag from the Digital Printable Cutapart Sheet, & created a book mark to layer my photograph and embellishments onto. Here's a closer look for you.....
Such a simple, but oh so pretty page!
And there you have it!
Daily documenting made super easy, and really beautiful with the Life Crafted Kits & Albums!
I hope I have inspired you to dive into your kits, and start documenting those important everyday stories!
Thanks so much for visiting,

Guest Designer - SHEREE FORCIER
We are so lucky to have Sheree Forcier share one one last project this month. We love her clean and detailed filled projects...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi everyone!
Today I’m sharing my third project using the August kits and this time it’s a spread for my Life Crafted album.
For the first page I went with the woodgrain paper for the background, then trimmed down the 6 x 4 floral journaling card to use behind the photo. I kept the embellishments nice and simply, layering them together in the top left corner of the photo.
Under the photo is a die cut label that I stamped with a phrase from the Chasing Rainbows stamp set. I also added stitching around the page for added texture.
I chose two of the 3 x 4 journaling cards for the facing page. I absolutely LOVED the gorgeous floral card! Since I wanted to print the text onto the card I used the digital version and added the journaling in Photoshop before printing it out. Then I added a simple line of stitching along with the date and a yellow sticker.
Finally I chose this fun card as the quote was just perfect for this spread! I added one of the digital cut apart labels to the top of the card with a line of stitching to finish it off.
You can see my process in the video below…
I’ve had so much fun working with the August kits as guest designer this month! Í hope I’ve given you a few ideas that you can use on your next project!
