Hello at the end of this lovely month!
It's Mira Jurecka here and today I'd like to show You a very nice and simple (yep yep yep!) idea how You can make Your pocket album a bit interactive and even more fascinating. So let me share what I have for Ya!
I created a single-page layout to include in my pocket album:
I really love this picture of my daughter and I. Since I'm rarely appearing in our family albums it had to find it's place in my album - that's for sure! In a HUGE format of course! Thanks to the products from September PL + Embellishment kits I was able to embellish this picture just the way it was supposed to be treated!
Huge picture + two fancy papers from mini-paper pad and a lot of stickers and paper elements! Niiiiice!
Yet, I was still missing something here!
Look at our faces:
We are smiling, looking happy, but this wasn't enough for me! It wasn't fancy enough!
Then I saw those paper glasses in PL Kit! Perfect match!
...but I was scared to change the picture that I love so much into something totally different. Funny but 100% different! What would You do in this situation?
I was trying the glasses on and taking them off, trying on and taking off - couldn't decide what to do!
And then the AHA-moment came! I realized that I can create even more fun - just by attaching the set of glasses to the page protector and use it interactively instead of adhering them to the picture for good!
Now this is how I imagine the future: Ola and I are watching the album and we are playing with these glasses TOGETHER! Trying them on and taking them off!! And laughing a lot! Isn't that fun!?
So simple!
Single paper clip can make such a huge difference!
I am really happy that these awesome star clips were included in September Embellishment Kit! They just made this layout super royal!
I hope my idea will push You even further and that You will try to find more tricks for Your albums! Don't forget to share them with me! And if You already have one, please share them too!
Now I can only wish You a very happy scraping!
Thanks for reading!

3 to Inspire with Mira
Hello Hello!
Are You ready for new edition of 3 to inspire challenge!?
You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.
The prompts for this week are:
1. Use as many white, thick frames around photos as possible
2. Choose the pocket page design or a layout composition that You haven't try before (or didn't use for a long time)
3. Don't use filter on Your pictures
I love how this challenge pushes me to try new ideas! It's amazing! I tend to use the same page protector design over and over again, always use as many pictures as possible and they are most likely to be the size of 4x6 in the landscape orientation. Boredom boredom You are welcome!
But for today I managed to experiment a bit and went out of my comfort zone! Yay! And I really like the results!
Here are my two pocket pages made for today:
And what do I have here?
Plenty of pictures (couldn't skip that tone!) that my Sister took with her phone, when we were spending time at the beach. And even more pictures taken by my lovely friend who was spending a very wonderful weekend in the mountains with me a few weeks back (these pictures were also taken by the smartphone camera :)).
Not even one picture was treated with filter! This is not common for me, but as You can see they don't need any enhancement! I love them! BTW, how often do You use pictures taken by someone else? This was kind of new for me!
I was working with September "Maggie" Pocket Life Kit together with Embellishment Kit and additionally I used a lot of white thick paper to create the base of my layouts (white frames white frames).
Here are some details:
Squares squares squares - not often You can find these page protectors in my album! But they look sooo good! I need to use them more often! And white frames will make Your pages to look clean and elegant.
I hope this is inspiring for You! Please, please, please if You have to remember ONE thing from today's post let it be: Get Out Of Your Comfort Zones More Often :D
Thank You Guys! Now is your turn! Use the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us in the CTK Gallery and/or on our Facebook Fan Page by Saturday, September 24th, for a chance to win. You can also upload to Instagram and tag us @citrustwistkits.
Have fun!

PL Sketch Friday with Tara
Happy Friday! It's Tara and I'm back for this week's Pocket Life Sketch Friday challenge. Don't forget to read through the end to see how you can win some happy mail.
My challenge this week is to add in as much journaling as you can - even if it's just a word or two, a lengthy paragraph, or in a list format with bullets. You can even use word stickers, alphas, cut apart words, and phrases to help with the journaling too.
Here is my finished spread:
Here is the left side and my introduction for August:
Here is the right side:
I cannot get enough of all the pretty papers, the 4x6 card with cut apart words, and The Reset Girl's ephemera kit in this month's "Maggie" Pocket Life kit (we are sold out of this month's kit but you can start a subscription with October's PL kit). I really pushed myself to use use up all of the lovely contents of the kit this month instead of keeping it all for a rainy day.
Here are a few close ups:
I didn't take any photos from our Vacation Bible School event, so I printed out the image of the theme we used. It fit perfectly with the pops of colors in my spread.
I also thought listing what's happened this week instead of writing an in depth review would be a fun
change. I added in "this"/"that" from the stamp included and used my Kelley Purkey alpha stamps for the "AND".
I even found another way to add more journaling! I love hidden journaling if I want to keep some things private. This time I used the cute ephemera as an extra layer and made it interactive too.

I added in a short phrase depicting Elliot and his silliness. Something that simple can really capture the moment!
I couldn't get enough of the Maggie Holmes gold stickers in this month's Embellishment Kit.

Another label sticker below helped me do a quick explanation of the spaghetti noodle.
Finally, here are your sketches:

Thank you for stopping by today! For your chance to win, create a layout based on these sketches - either pocket pages or traditional scrapbooking, you choose! Post your layout to our Gallery and/or Facebook Fan Page and title it PL 09/16. Post your entries by Friday, September 23, 2016.
Happy Weekend! Xxo, Tara
