Hi everyone! Jen here, and today I'm sharing a tutorial with you on how to make a cute fringe layout. I used the Pocket Life kit for this page, but you could definitely use the scrapbook kit as well!
First, I gathered my supplies. I used white cardstock for the base, 6x6 papers from the kit, and some fringe scissors that I picked up with Michaels many years ago.
Start out by cutting some fringe strips. I used the scissors to cut about 3/4 inch into the paper.
Then, trim the strips to about 1.25 inches wide. You'll want to leave some extra at the top to adhere the strips and keep the fringe together.
Begin adhering your fringe at the bottom edge of the page. Adhere the next strip just above that one, working your way up until complete. Use your thumb to "fluff" up the fringe for added texture.
I stopped about halfway up the page but you could totally do the whole thing if you wanted!
I also added some stitching along the top row to finish it off.
I really love how this page turned out and I hope you will try it too! Have a great day!

Kit Love with Jen
Hi everyone and happy Monday! I am sharing a layout with you today using the April "Sophie" pocket life kit, along with an unboxing video.
Take a look at the video to see what's included in this month's PL kit.
Just a note - I inadvertently left the cork embellishments and flair in the bag so those are not included in the video :)
The colors in this month's kit are just fabulous. I used a mix of red and black to tell my story for this week.
I love the "work" card included in this month. Great way to document that part of your life!
I also loved the foam stickers included by Freckled Fawn. Perfect on this card.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Have a great week!

Let's Get Digital with Jen
Hi everyone! Jen here, and today I'm sharing a free Silhouette file with you to use on your scrapbook pages.
I created this page using the March Pocket Life and Sprinkles kits. This is a fun kit to use for some negative space! The 6x6 paper pad works perfectly with it.
You can download the file here.
I also have a process video you can watch to see how the layout came together.
Please link us in the comments if you create anything with this file. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Kit Love with Jen - February 2017 Pocket Life Kit
Hi everyone! Jen here, and today I am sharing a kit unboxing video of February's PL kit, as well as sharing a layout I've created with it. Watch the video below to see what's included in your kit this month.
I just love the colors in the kit this month! And the 3x4 cards are fab.
I created a 9x12 page with some of my January photos. I incorporated some of the 6x6 paper as well as the Crate Paper ephemera pack that was included.
I kept my journaling pretty simple by using typed strips from my typewriter. I also added some dates with a date stamp and some black ink.
That's all for today! I hope you've enjoyed this inspiration and peek into the February kits. Have a good day!

3 to Inspire with Jen
Hi everyone! Today we are being inspired by patterned paper, scraps, and memorabilia.
I created this page with a photo of my son and I at the Mother-Son dance this past fall. I was able to get a photo which I'm sure I will treasure forever! For the page, I was really inspired by scraps of 6x6 paper from the January pocket life kit.
I hand trimmed scraps with my scissors, then adhered them to the page and stitched through with my sewing machine.
I was also inspired to incorporate a ticket from the event, and I was really glad I was able to do this!
I hope you've enjoyed this layout, please tag us on social media if you use this prompt to create a project.
Have a great weekend!

Pocket Life Friday with Jen
Hi everyone! It's Friday again, which means it's time for another Pocket Life sketch. Today I'll be sharing a 9x12 page with you using the January kit.
Here's a look at the sketch. This page uses a combination of cards and photos, and is very journaling-heavy.
My page is all about starting off the new year. The products and cards in the Pocket Life kit are perfect for documenting these.
I thought the cork 2017 piece was perfect for use on this card, which forms the title for my page.
I was in love with the 6x6 patterned papers in the Pocket Life kit and thought it would be fun to create a layered card with them. I simply cut one diagonally and adhered/stitched it to another piece of paper cut to 4x6. On top, I layered a die cut and a cork piece.
Isn't that Winnie the Pooh card so cute? Love it.

PL Sketch Friday with Jen
Hello and happy Friday! Jen here, and today I am sharing a pocket page along with a sketch! Let's first take a look at the layout I created.
This is a 9x12 page I created with the December Pocket Life kit. I decided to document a few pictures from the first snow we had this year. For this layout, all the pockets are 3x4 so that makes it really quick and easy to put together!
I also used the stamp in the PL Kit which was a great addition to my page.
For my title card, I used a few pieces from the cutapart sheet, along with the Becky Higgins PL date stamp. I wanted to keep the titles simple as my photos were colorful and busy.
And here's the sketch!

A Simple Layout with Jen Chapin
Hi everyone! Jen here, and today I'm sharing a quick layout created with the October kits about my son at 4 years old.
I used the Crate Paper patterned paper and adhered it to the top of a piece of white cardstock. I used a single photo that was printed at a bit less than 4x6 and adhered that to the top half of the layout.
For my title, I used one of the large chipboard words from the add-on kit, as well as some of the Pinkfresh alphas from the Pocket Life kit. I wasn't sure going into this page how the title was going to turn out but I ended up loving it! My journaling was printed on paper and trimmed into strips.
I also scattered some chipboard stickers across the layout, along with enamel dots and a bit of mist.
Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope you are enjoying your October kits!

Creating a Fall Layout with the October Kit
Hello everyone! Jen here, and today I am sharing a fall-inspired layout that I created with the October Pocket Life kit. This layout was inspired by the die cut leaves included in the kit. I thought they would be perfect to scatter across a layout.
I had these photos of my son at the farmer's market from last weekend. and knew they would go with the kit perfectly. I used a piece of Crate Paper patterned paper from the main scrapbook kit to put across the layout, then layered one of the 4x6 cards and my photos on top. I also knew I wanted to use the cork circles, but the sayings didn't work with this page so I simply flipped them over.
The alpha stickers included in the kit from Pinkfresh Studio are so fabulous! I added them then stitched through for extra texture.
I added my journaling by using my typewriter and cutting it into strips. I stitched through a few of the strips as well. After adding a date stamp and a few puffy dots from the sprinkles kit, my layout was complete!
I hope you have a great day, see you soon!

In My Studio with Jen Chapin
Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a few pictures of how I organize my kits and products, plus a pocket page created with October's Pocket Life kit and a process video.
When I receive my kit, I like to take all the items out of the packages so I can see everything. I get these shallow trays from a local grocery store, but I'm sure you can find something similar at Target or Ikea. I organize all the flat items in the tray, then put all the loose embellishments in a small bowl from Anthropologie.
After I'm done with creating projects from a kit, I like to split the remaining products out by type. I have lots of different bins that are labeled and sit on my shelves. This one houses chipboard embellishments.
Here is a look at my supply bins with the tops off. Sorting them by type allows me to quickly grab the embellishment I need without much searching!
Here is a video that goes over my kit organization, as well as my process for putting this page together.
I used items from the main Pocket Life kit as well as the Sprinkles kit to create this page. I used a mixture of color and black and white photos, as well as some contrasting bright colors with black and white.
Here are a few closeups. The puffy circle sticker fit perfectly inside this card, and I embellished it simply with a staple.
The foam glitter stars in the kit are fabulous! I used all of them very quickly :)
Lastly, I created this card using a piece of the 6x6 patterned paper along with the diecut and hello weekend phrase.
