I was so happy to play with my new April Pocket Life and Sprinkles kits. So fresh and happy. You can find the kits right here.
Here is my 2 pages spread and you'll find the sketch right after the pictures. :)
I absolutely love the acetate words!! They are a good size to be used on a 4x6 card, or you can do like me and cut them in two and have them lay in 2 pockets.
You see the difference of color if they are laying on a different colored background. I think it adds to the fun. :)
Here I used a white cardstock from my stash and I mounted my photo on a very colorful paper from the PL kit. It makes the colors of the rainbow pop. So fun! I used a label to add a title and I stitched it in place + added a puffy sticker in a star shape. These puffy stickers are just so versatile!!! We could add them everywhere. Literally!
See, another puffy sticker (the little heart)!! :) And I used a slightly bigger label to add a little bit of journaling. A pen point size 0.1 is perfect to write on small space like this one.
Behind the birthday party photo I tucked the invitation card that I attached to the photo with the paperclip. I added some baker's twine (from the packaging of the Sprinkles Kit) two labels from the label sheet and a heart shaped wood veneer.
I really appreciate cards like this one where I can add journaling! I added a small puffy sticker in the same color than the word on the card. And on the photo I added a sticker in the shape of the door/window. I think it looks really neat.
Here, the title in white-/pink-/grey-ish on a white background kind of ties all the colors of the cards/stickers I used in the middle row. I used my brush pen to finish the title.
Here I repeated the acetate word running across two photos. I really like the repetition of such elements on a 2 page spreads. I added a small wood veneer because the pink was so subtle it was hard to notice that there was a word there. :)
I added some journaling that I typed on the yellow woodgrain paper that is in the PL kit. I wrote what my little one wrote on her paper but in a readable way. ;) I really love that we can still see what she wrote even if the acetate word is over her paper.
And finally, here is the sketch. You can refer to the first photo to see what the elements are on my pages.
I hope that you'll play along with me. I would really love to see what you do with my sketch. :)
