You
can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need that little extra
creative push to get scrapbooking, keep scrapbooking or for those who just
like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a pocket page spread
and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.
Your
prompts this week are:
1. Divide your layout into thirds.
2. Use circles in an embellishment cluster.
3. Use different-colored paints on your page.
I started my layout by splattering 3 different colors of ink on my white base page. This was completely random at the top and bottom of the page. (I knew the center one third of my page would be covered up with patterned paper.) Next I typed my journaling to work within the negative space around the paint splatters:
When you use vellum as a layer it has a tendency to curl a little. I went with this and also softly curled up the edges of my photo layer with my fingers. (Layers made from vellum, tissue paper, pattern paper and a the photo):
I am loving this Thicker alphabet! I chose letters in the softer colors so the title wouldn't contrast as much:
Circles are layered up and scattered around the page. I used a pop dot to raise the "fave" wood chip above the cork embellishment. I also cut circles out of the frayed fabric strip that comes in the November Main kit and stitched them down on my page in a couple spots:
Now it's your turn! Use
the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us in
the CTK Gallery and/or
on our Facebook Fan
Page by Saturday, November 28th, for a chance to win. (We do a happy mail giveaway for our 3-to-Inspire challenge. Who doesn't love happy mail?!) You can
also upload to Instagram and tag us @citrustwistkits. Have fun!
Love this!
