In the studio with Suse Fish

Hi everyone, Suse Fish with you today and I'm happy to share a little tour of my scrap area!

I work in my favourite room of the house: the kitchen! It's the brightest, cosiest room and I just love hanging out there. I put the radio on, get some coffee brewing, grab that box of supplies and I'm just in heaven.

My work table is an old wooden one I picked up for free from a lady in our village who didn't want it anymore. I sanded and re-painted the top in my favourite mint colour, but kind of like how it's already getting re-scuffed and stained from being worked on.

I keep my kits in square plastic storage boxes that have these brilliant divided trays that sit on top of them. I like to take everything out of it's packaging and trim everything out before I get started - that way I can just grab things as I fancy them and not break my stride.

I have a long memo board by my desk that I fill with inspiring pictures, quotes and layouts I've been especially pleased with. They serve as a good reminder that I can make pretty things when I'm having a confidence wobble!

I keep my albums tucked in a bookcase at the end of the desk. I have one for my favourite layouts and one for Project Life. Other layouts go into the pizza boxes my kits come in to help save a few pennies.

I keep my mixed media materials and other supplies in white plastic tubs from Ikea: they're so practical and easy to keep clean.

In the Studio with Melissa Mann

Happy Monday morning! This is Melissa with you here this morning and I'm sharing a little peek of my little studio :-)

I have my desk and supplies set up in the spare bedroom of our house. Last year, my husband and I made a trip to North Carolina and on our way, I convinced my hubby to stop in Atlanta as this is the closet city to us that has an IKEA. I had been scoping out their desks online and loved this big over-sized desk. To date, it has been one of the best purchases I have ever made! I picked the five cabinet piece to go along with it and love the extra storage it has provided.

Across from this desk, I have another table set up with various items on it.

 On this table, I have my latest Citrus Twist kits sitting on the left hand side in the front. Behind that in the black bin are Lawn Fawn stamps.

 Next to them, I have another two bins full of stamps from Elle's Studio and Lawn Fawn. The next bin holds all of my Thickers! And that cute little ceramic egg crate holds little bits & bobs from various left over projects.

On the right side of that table, I have projects in the works: my Week in the Life album and my December Daily from 2013 (ssshhhh!). I have another green bin which holds Studio Calico stamps and the big white basket in the back holds kits that I have not broken down into my stash.

 I have two shelving units set up near my desk that hold bins of product. On the top of the unit, I have a couple more albums I'm working on. The gray tray holds my Project Life goodies.

On my desk, I keep my typewriter, my caddy full of pens, pencils, rulers, markers, etc., my sewing machine, and my Canon Selphy printer.

 In the very first drawer at my desk, I keep all my most used tools: paper cutter, foam dots, scissors, adhesives, corner rounder, tiny attacher, etc.

 The second drawer holds most of my ink pads.

 The third drawer holds all Lawn Fawn stuff: ink pads, dies, twine, and more stamps.

 The fourth drawer holds more Project Life goodies.

And the last drawer holds all my stationery stuff: cards, envelopes, stickers, addresses, etc.

 Here's a close-up of my tool caddy on top of my desk.

 I also have one of those wonderful three tier carts from IKEA that holds a BUNCH of stuff. The top tier holds stamps, labels, flair, tags, and small embellishments.

 The second tier holds all my mists and wooden stamps. The bottom tier holds a basket of washi tape and my most used punches.

In My Studio with Karen

It's Karen, today I wanted to invite you on a little tour of what I call my studio, the place where I create. I've wanted to show you my space for a while now, its a work in progress, I've currently got another table on order and some new shelves so I will have to share with you my updated studio when that happens, but for now have a look at where I 'work'. 

I'm fortunate enough to have my own space in our house, lucky me! I of course share the studio with my crafty girls, who happen to love sitting in here as well and 'playing'. My youngest tells me all the time that she wants a room just like mine when she grows up! Cute.

Lets start with the photo above, this is my desk, it's gigantic and really deep so lots of space to create a mess. I keep my picture mate printer handy on the left hand side, my scrap paper basket to the right, that needs sorting stat, its starting to overflow. In the white lace basket I keep current Project Life cards that might make it into my layouts over the next few weeks/months. In the tray I keep the current 'Citrus Twist Kits' so the contents are easy to find and in front of me while I create the layouts for the Design Team. My favourite part of this side of the studio is my big yellow 'Hello'. After I named my blog I found this in a local store and just had to have it. Its big and bright.

These lovely wooden draws contain embellishments such as die cuts, frames, tags and some tools. I love my washi tape man, I saw this idea on Dear Lizzy's blog. The wire basket contains the contents of the latest Week in the Life kit as I will be working on that soon. I update my banner on my wall above my desk every month or so, I love that I can change the whole look of my studio when I feel like it.

This shelf currently holds some of my planner collection, as well as little while bowls of wood veneers and some planner items like sticky notes, tabs and stickers. That basket.... drool....

To the right of my desk is a filing cabinet that has project life cards on top, plus big letters and numbers, planner pens, scrapbooking stickers & enamel dots. In that tray is large scrap paper, ink pads, glue runners and a tiny attacher plus staples. I have a few 'hello' items in my studio, my favourite word.

Behind my work table is another little space to create & take my photos, I keep a lot of my scrapbooking embellishments, cutters, punches and thickers over on this side of the studio. The three-tired wire basket holds ribbon, washi tape and twine. Yum. Under that table.... a sewing machine that pops out, various craft items that are too messy to show, ha ha. 

I love this particular space in my studio and the new tables and shelves are going to be all white of course, along the entire length of this wall, I can't wait. I keep my beloved midori travellers notebook over here, stamps, current collections, some more washi of course!

A close up of my ribbon and washi, project life kits, paper pads, 12x 12 paper on the bottom and thickers in those plastic tubs. This shelf holds a lot, it also has my past albums up the top. Plus all my teaching resources are here too. 

My studio gets the most perfect light, in the afternoon the sun shines right in, its a beautiful space to be in in the winter especially, so warm and cozy. We have a small leather lounge in here and this coffee table, perfect for sitting and relaxing, the girls read in here too. This table has some of my latest scrapbook layouts on the little easel, I love that they are on display for my family to see what I have been creating before they go in the albums.

In my Studio with Mira

Hi there!
It's Mira here and today I invite You for a little tour into the place where I create. I was planning to write this post for a veeeery long time, but it was Citrus Twist Kits that actually motivated me to do it! I hope You will enjoy visiting this part of my everyday world.

First of all - it's hard to call it Studio, but ok - let it be my studio for a while!
To be more honest - it's more like a part of the small room in our apartment :)
Look:

My scrapbooking world is a small part of our daughter's room and it will stay this way as long as we prefer Ola to sleep in our bedroom.
So here it is - wide desk and a few drawers :)
I am really happy to have that space well organised. I often check what things I no longer like/need and donate it to the relatives (mostly kids :D) - I don't want to be overwhelmed by too many stuff, cause then I end up not knowing what I have and what I want to use. That's also why I loooove working with kits - it just help me to keep my mind clear! (One of the things hanging near my desk is a little quote that I found on Piterest - tidy desk - tidy mind - this is so true to me!)

Now  let me show You more details!

Left side of the desk is my sewing corner:

Right side is the actual place where I scrap and work on the computer:

Most of my space is dedicated to Pocket Scrapbooking :)

Here's for example how I store PL cards (ordered by colors) and some of my favourite stamps and washi tapes:

In those mini paper bags I keep color pencils, paper cips, scraps of papers and my very recent purchase - BH fuse tool:

My desk has two gorgeously huge drawers, that I just admire! They let me have tidy desk with a really quick access to everything that I need!
I keep it all in small containers: pictures, paper cuts, stickers - things like that!

Right drawer is perfect to hide the computer when I work with papers:

And here's how I store the monthly kits:

On the right side I also keep my Silhouette Portraits and I have a few more drawers here - filled with stamps and inks, chipboard cuts, hard drives, envelopes, etc. I keep the rest of my supplies in the Ikea Raskog basket - twines, threads, badges, paper clips, embellishments:

Accrylic spray paints, basic tools, buttons, wood chips, ribbons, sequins, glitter, etc:

And on the left side of "my creative wall" there is a bookstand full of boxes that are filled with wool and mini albums:

This is it!
As I said - it's not a scrapbooking Studio AT ALL... but it really really is my Favourite spot in the house.

I could finish here - at this exact moment...
or I could also open the rest of my drawers to photograph them for You... (and You would probably yawn)
But I won't do any of it!

I would share a little bit of my desk surroundings instead! Why? Cause I need to prove that this is our daughter's room - kid's room, right?
