Life Crafted with Sheree

Hi everyone!

Today I have a fun life crafted spread to share with you featuring the fabulous November Legendary Life Crafted Kit.  As soon as I read the name of this kit it I knew I had to use it to document this particular day….the day when Ayden finally beat his Dad in an arm wrestle.  Ayden thought it was the best day ever!

I had three photos that I wanted to include on this spread.  I printed each of them to approximately 2.5 inches tall so that I could fit all of them on the full-sized page.  I cut my paper to size, machine stitched around the edge, then arranged the photos down the page slightly overlapping each other.  I also stitched across the top of each photo.

I chose three of the vellum tape tiny word stickers from the kit and adhered them onto a white cardstock backing so they would stand out. I then adhered one to the side of each photo.

I also added a die cut to the top of each word strip with foam dots for a little dimension.

For the right side of the spread I decided on two journaling cards from the kit to tell the story of the day.  The first card was the 1,2,3 card.  I typed up a sentence to add next to each number, cut them out and stitched them into place.

The second card was the ‘enjoying this’ card.  I added my journaling by using the digital version of the card to print it out.  I stitched around the edge, added a date stamp then used two of the small yellow enamel dots from the kit to indicate my selections from the list.

While the photos weren’t great quality on this spread, it still documents a really fun moment between Ayden and Paul which I love and this kit made it so easy!

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today!

Pocket Page Challenge with Shannon

Hello there, crafty friends! Shannon here with a pocket page to share. I used the November 2020 LEGENDARY Life Crafted Kit and the Legends stamp set to bring this page together. I made use of the digital journaling cards to type up my journaling because I clearly had a lot to say about these photos! I love digital journaling cards for making sure I can get a lot of thoughts into a small space.

When I first pull a page together I like to decide what my primary colors and accent colors will be. You can see that I have a lot of teal and that golden yellow throughout the page. I added a few peeks of pink as an accent. This prevents a page from becoming too overwhelming. I wanted a card that incorporated all of those color so I just made my own. I took a piece of patterned paper from the 6x8 paper pack and cut it down to size. Then I chose some stamps from the Life Crafted stamp set to add to labels. The whole stamp phrase actually reads "little moments that make life big" on one full line. I inked small parts at a time to split it up between the labels. To ink the words in the middle I simply covered the rest with a post it to prevent them from getting inked up. I opted to use a different stamp that had "big" in a different font for the repeated stamping on the last label. A few accents of plus signs and enamel dots and this card was finished!

I always seek to find a balance between busy cards and those with more simplicity on my page. I did exactly that with this journaling card about my daughter and her best friend. I added a vellum phrase sticker for a bit of color and let the focus be on the story of their friendship and my feelings about it.

I wanted a little more of that golden yellow in my page so I opted to print my photo in an Instax size (grab the Photoshop template in the files section of the Citrus Twist Kits Fan Page on Facebook). I printed it in black and white to let it really pop against the golden background.

The teal card with the large white space in the middle just begged to be stamped! I used the Legends stamp set to create this sentiment. Did you know that when you buy the large add on stamps they come with ideas to combine the stamps for different looks? Flip over your packaging and take a look! This idea was too good to pass up.

I appreciate cards with individual spaces for journaling. I find these are the perfect spots for a few quick words about multiple photos on my page. I used numbers from the foam alpha that's included in the Life Crafted Kit to number my photos that correspond with the number for their journaling block. This is a super simple way to let the people flipping through your albums know exactly what photo you're talking about.

And that's it! Pick your primary color(s), pick your accent color(s), and seek a good balance of busy and simple. I can't wait to see your projects with the November 2020 LEGENDARY Life Crafted Kit. Happy creating!

Life Crafted with Marsha

Hey friends!  Marsha here today sharing a layout in my Life Crafted album.  I used the beautiful new November Life Crafted "Legendary" kit, This Is Life "Legends" stamp, and digital files from the shop.

Here's a look at the spread:

I was excited to try out the new Life Crafted page protectors that have four Instax-sized pockets.  To begin the layout, I resized two of the digital journaling cards from the kit and one of my photos to fit the pockets. I also typed my journaling and the date onto the cards before printing them out.  For my title, I used the Black Foam Alphabet Stickers and Soft Mint Puffy Alphabet Stickers and added them to one of the printed cards.  I also added the word "yum" with the foam alphabet stickers to my Instax photo.  I trimmed a patterned paper from the kit to fit in another pocket and did some machine stitching for a bit of added texture.  To finish off the page, I added some stamping with the This Is Life stamp and black and light blue.

For the right side of the layout, I trimmed two patterned papers from the kit and adhered them along the edge of a piece of white cardstock.  I added my photo and embellished the page with some labels from the kit and a printed label from the Printable Cutapart Elements.  I also added an ephemera tag and a mini paper clip from my stash.

I did a bit more stamping with the This Is Life stamp and the LC kit stamp on some of the labels.  I also added a black puffy sticker and some puffy heart stickers, along with another ephemera piece. To finish off the page, I did some machine stitching along the edge of the patterned paper using black thread.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope I have inspired you to document some of your stories using this month's kit.  I will see you again soon!
