Let's play monochromatic!

Hello!
It's Mira here today and I have a scrapbook challenge for You to jump in!

You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need a little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, to keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! These pages were made with my April pocket page scrapbook kit. Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a PL spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

Your prompts this week are:

1. Stay monochromatic
2. Use a transparent elements on top of Your journaling
3. Mix a few cards/papers to create Your own and unique PL card

And here's my inspiration - first - this is how I stay monochromatic:

I use only the products from Sprinkles and PL Kit based on the colors from my pictures.

Then to meet the second prompt I place a transparencies from April Sprinkles Kit on top of the card covered with journaling. This way the card is more interesting but still I can read everything what's underneath :)

And Finally I create my own PL cards to fill four 3x4 pockets in the middle of my spread:

Citrus Twist Kits exclusive papers are perfect for creating Your own cards! Using only the two of them together with a few stickers I created three simple cards. And the last card with the same pinkish design is from PL Kit - it suits here perfectly - this way I can keep my page monochromatic.

Tuesday Tutorial with Our Guest Sandra AKA Fearless

Good Morning.

Fearless ( http://www.dreamsareforchasing.com/) here today to share with you my photo tutorial using fantastic April Kit.

I have had so much fun putting this all together for you, the photo is of me and my soulmate on our way back from the trip we took down to London this year.

1.  Using March kit please cut 2 papers (seen) to approx 2 squares and glue it down to white based provided in kit.

2. Using any kind of floral (or any kind of different pattern, it's up to you!) stencil just spray using orange or yellow mist/pain in the right/middle of our pink fresh paper.

3. Using any kind of tags you might have just glue 2 of them down in approx place where I have. Than using a black ink pen just draw around it and around the pink paper which is under the pink fresh one.

4. Time to get our photo in the right place, but just before that add some flowers, it can be any kind (paper, handmade, ready made etc) + the ones you have included in Citrus Twist Scrapbooking Kit. Once you do it, place the photo on it as well as seen on photos below and again using black ink pen please draw around the photo (best be square )

5.  Time to do my favorite part: paints and decorations. Using any type of similar embellishments (some of it comes from Citrus Twist Kit March Pocket Life Kit) some of it comes from my own stash, try to add it around the places I have, than using a gold paint (available in Citrus Shop) just add it in two places as seen on photos with a tiny bit of black ink on the top of it and some stamping around (on the top of the photo) using paint brush or mists just do some random drops around with paint (remeber to cover the photo!)

Tutorial Tuesday with Pamela

Good morning everyone! It's Pamela with a tutorial/step process for you on how I put together my scrapbook layout using the April 2015 PL Kit and the April 2015 Sprinkles Kit.

I first die cut a few circles from a piece of cork sheet and before taking the die away from the cork, I used a black liner and outlined the circle. I then used the stamp set included in the April 2015 Sprinkles kit onto the cork using Memento Tuxedo Black.

I cut out strips of paper from the 6x6 paper in the PL kit and started to arrange it on my cardstock. I cut out a few large photo frames from chipboard and covered it with using the Smoke textured 4x6 cardstock.

Now it's time to put the layout together! I have my photos printed out and adhered it under the frame. I pulled out the large Alphas from October Afternoon that's included in the PL Main for my title.

Now it's time to sew everything down! I use a sewing machine and stitch the vellum and pattern paper down. After everything has been sewed/adhered down, I embellished it with the clear blue acrylic stars from the Sprinkles Kit and did some journaling.

Here is my final layout! This photo was taken years ago but I thought it would make a fun TBT layout in my PL album. So there you go - a layout with stitching, self made cork embellishments and putting a layout together using the PL kit. I can't wait to see what you create!

MINI ALBUM PL WITH AMELIE

Hi there, today something special! When I received my April Citrus Twist PL kits, I was totally (and I am always!) in love with the Amy Tangerine goodies from the kits! Love how colorful they are! All these colors make me think to our travel to Vietnam in 2013... So I decided to use my new Simple Stories album to create the album of our travel! I have lot of pictures to insert in this album, I don't know if one will be enough, I will see!
In any case, it was such a pleasure to work on the beginning of this mini album! Such great memories!

The Crate Paper tags are perfect to insert tickets or other documents!

Heidi Swapp 5x7 Wanderlust Album

I don't know about you, but I LOVE mini albums. I especially love them when they're in "unique" sizes like the Heidi Swapp 5x7 album! There aren't very many 5x7 albums out there in the market and I really don't know why.. this size is AWESOME! :)

I had the opportunity to play with the newly released album and want to share some of my album pages with you.  (If you're looking to purchase this album, they are stocked in the CTK Shop now!)  I used the March Pocket Life Kit, March Embellishment Kit, April Pocket Life Kit, and April Sprinkles Kit for a majority of the pages.  I also added a few different alphas from my stash.

Isn't this album gorgeous?! I love the white and gold!

I made this album to document the day (or should I say early morning) that my son was born.

These pictures that I included in my album were taken minutes after he was born.  I am SO glad that my mom was in the delivery room with me and my husband.  She was able to snap these photos while my husband and I were still trying to get a grasp that we were now parents of a human being. Crazy!

I'm still working on how to divide this album. For now, I just put all my pages together.  These next few pages are from the same morning that he was born, but during my first visit down to the NICU to see him.

Seeing your newborn connected to a bunch of wires is pretty heartbreaking, but luckily, he was very healthy and only had to stay in the NICU for 2.5 days.

I love the picture of him on the right side.  He was just so awake and alert that morning.

And there ya have it.  A few pages of my baby's birth album.  I'm still planning to have a separate baby album for him, so I'll likely use some of the same photos, but I thought this size mini album was perfect to spotlight his birth date!

Like I mentioned in my PL post last week, this is my last project for CTK.  I just wanted to thank Trina for such a great opportunity to design for her, the rest of the design team girls for all their love and support through the years on this team, and all of YOU for your love and support as well.  Thank you all so much!
