Pocket Life Sketch Friday with Trina

Good morning everyone. It is PL Sketch Friday today.

You'll quickly see the focus of this week's Pocket Life pages - our new puppy Maggie. Since I have always been a scrapbooker and have worked with scrapbooking kits for many years now, I can't help but do mini scrapbook layouts in my 6" x 8" Handbook album. If you haven't tried a mini page (or full page) with your PL yet, I challenge you to give it a try.

The 6" x 6" pattern paper from Maggie Holme's new Bloom collection is perfect for creating layouts and for little layers in your pocket pages.

Here are 3 pages documenting our puppy's arrival and our cat's adjustment to Maggie.

I love the fringe paper in Maggie Holmes' new collection. I cut just beside the shadow portion of the printed fringe to make it actual fringe. Pinkfresh's new Felicity die-cuts are easy to tuck here and there!

I grabbed gold glitter thickers from my stash (new in the Citrus Twist Shop) to combine with the adorable pink glitter alphabet stickers from the March PL kit.

With so many adorable pattern papers and colors in the Bloom collection, I just had to fussy cut Maggie's name to make this 4" x 6" card. I just used tiny dabs of glue on the flip side of the letters so portions of the letters curl up for added dimension.

I wanted this page to be fairly monochromatic and started with a black polka dot paper, the B-side of one of the papers from the March Pattern Paper Play #1 add-on, then added white stitching to create texture. I meant to type directly on my mini page before adhering things down, but since I forgot to I instead typed out my journaling on paper, cut the journaling into strips and stitched the strips down. I really like the white texture that the horizontal stitching adds to the page.
