3 - to- inspire with Vanessa Taconelli

Hello friends! It’s Vanessa here to join you this Saturday.  If you’re looking for some crafty inspiration, I invite you to try this week’s 3-to-Inspire challenge.

The prompts this week include:

1.  Layers

2.  Circles

3.  B&W Photo

Here's my take on this challenge. I used the Change is Beautiful digital kit and a lot others kits to mix.

As you can see, I chose to do a layout for my Life Crafted 6x8 . The first prompt, LAYERS.

I'm obsessed with layers, I think it adds such beautiful dimension to the pages. In this layout, I used patterned paper, journaling card, and many elements to build up the layers.

The second prompt, CIRCLES, can be used in a VARIETY of ways.  In this layout I used some, including to do layers. I really love this geometric shape, it's one of my favorites.

The final prompt is a B&W PHOTO.

I chose this photo of my youngest son to record this memory.

As I used colored papers and many elements, I think the use of b&w photo turned out really cool.

I hope this challenge provides some inspiration.  HAPPY crafting !

Hey everyone!  It's Alena with  layout for Sunday Sketch.

Here's a look at the sketch this week:

And here's my Layout:

I created the layout using the  CHANGE IS BEAUTIFUL and ALL ABOUT ME Digital files, FALL FLORALS - EPHEMERA

Ephemera fits perfectly with these two collections. Gold sequins and machine stitching were also added.

For the title I used beautiful RETRO PUSH PHRASES STICKERS.

Well, then it is time for you be inspired by the sketch to create a page of your own.  Remember to share your creations with us on the Citrus Twist Kits Friends page on Facebook or by using #CTK, @Citrustwistkits on social media.  I cannot wait to see what you create with this sketch.

3 - to- inspire with Suzanne

Hello creative friends!

Happy October! I can’t believe summer just flew by!

My favorite seasons are already here!

This week I’m on the blog with 3 to inspire!

This challenge is:

1. Use items that are gifted to you

2. Use pocketpage cards, different then in a pocket

3. Use little embellishments in your spread

For the first challenge I added a note from Erin, that I received in my pakkage, she always writes the most sweetest notes and it makes me happy to incorporate it in my album.

I love using little items that where in the kit, they paperclips, the doilies and offcourse some staples

I printed out a pocketpage card in a smaller size and added my journaling to it, instead of making it a 3x4, I used it as an embellishment in a cluster

I hope that I have inspired you and wish you lots of happy crafting
Love Suzanne

SUNDAY SKETCH with MARCI

Hello, Citrus Twist Fans! Welcome to the Sunday Sketch post. It is Marci with you today.

I'm using the Halloween collection, Mischief & Mayhem, along with this sketch.

When I first looked at the sketch, I loved the linear square grid. I followed the sketch fairly closely this week. I did scale it to fit in a 6x8 album. I think it worked out great.

I knew I wanted this page to be a stand-alone page vs. inside a page protector. That meant my dimensions needed to be 7in wide by 8.25in tall. The papers in the kit are only 6 in wide. To accommodate my needs, I cut a 1-inch strip of black cobweb paper and adhered it to the orange paper with washi tape. This gave me added width and a place to punch my holes.

To ensure the black strip coordinates with the whole spread, I used the remainder of the cobweb paper to make four mats like in the sketch.

I had a ton of fun using the Mischief and Mayhem ephemera pack to decorate my blocks. This one with the various witches' paraphernalia is my favorite!

In the sketch, there are two squares that have word strips hanging off the edges. I first tried the labels in the kit but they were too big. Then I noticed on the 6 x 8 mischief mayhem stamp set there was a small label stamp that said "date". I didn't need the word "date" so after stamping in a coordinating orange color, I cut off the end portion to just have a blank label. I then used several of the fun Halloween sentiments to fill in my labels.

Lastly, I used the white alphabet puffy stickers to make my title. To mimic the side embellishing on the sketch, I added some die cuts as well as some stamped images from the stamp set. I adore how this page turned out.

I hope you are inspired to use this sketch and make something fab-BOO-lous this Sunday!

3-to-Inspire with Lory

Hello everyone! How are you?

It's Saturday and this means a new recipe to inspire you to create, have fun and preserve your priceless memories. Every time I stop myself and I am there, in my crafty space I feel so relaxed and happy. To play with these gorgeous supplies is pure joy.

To inspire you this time I have searched something new for my usual style, I love those little details, those meaningful details that tell my stories.

Here the recipe:

  1. Die cuts /ephemera
  2. Stamps and watercolors
  3. Journaling and little pics.
It was so easy and simple to create the following two pages.
They are 4x8 pages and my idea was about some blocks to fill with pictures, words, stories, embellishments of any kinds, from stamps for titles to the digital die cuts, to create my own embellishments using stamps and watercolors, for the flowers and the leaves for example.

So hear the result ;) Each rectangle, six in total, has its own details.

I am happy to share some close ups with you.

What do you think? Hope to have inspired you to create with these gorgeous products pure magic for your memories.

Love, Lory

SUNDAY SKETCH with Desiree

Happy Fall scrappy friends! Today I have a multi-photo, Fall sketch to share with you. Let's take a look at it below.

This four-photo sketch was a challenge for me since I usually only scrap 1-2 photos per layout. However, I was still excited to give the sketch a go. Here's what I came up with.

I started the layout with a wood-grain paper as my base. Then I found scalloped frames in the Farmstead Harvest Ephemera. So, I decided to use a square scallop die to die cut my own frames from the CTK Change is Beautiful 6x8 Digital Papers and  Farmstead Harvest 6x8 Paper Pad. These frames really helped me to layer my photos more easily.

Next, I placed beautiful leaves from the CTK Feels Like Home Ephemera into this large, four-photo cluster. This is my favorite part of the layout.  I also added Farmstead Harvest Ephemera bits and CTK Changing Season Puffy Stickers.

To keep in line with the sketch, I made sure to include my journaling on a Farmstead Harvest Tag

To add more contrast to my layout and make my cluster pop, I painted my page with watercolor paint. I layered it under the photos to make it seem like it was already there.

To complete my photo, I placed two small titles. I used the "Home" die cut from the CTK Feels Like Home Ephemera and my favorite CTK Puffy Alpha Stickers

Thank you so much for following along on this sketch challenge with me. I wish you a crafty day!
