Meet Our Guest Designer

Today on the blog we would like you to meet our Guest Designer! Say hello to Casey Cameron!

Hi everyone! My name is Casey, I live in Philly with my husband Matt and our two sons Nathan (3) and Noah (1). I've only just recently gotten into the scrapbooking world but I've been a maker for as long as I can remember! I love all things crafty. I'm all about curating my life and filling it with things that make me happy. Lately, that's been pretty much anything with Totoro on it!
Here's a peak into where Casey creates her beautiful projects:

To get to know our guest designer a little better, we've had her do a little Q & A with us:

How long have you been scrapbooking and why did you start?
I've been scrapbooking (mostly pocket pages) for about a year and a half .  I started probably for the same reason as most people:  I wanted to document life with my sons while they were young!  But I was also really drawn to the artistic style of telling my own story.  I'm very visual, so I loved the idea that I could journal with photos as well as words!

How would you describe your scrapbooking style?
I'm really still trying to figure that out, but I try to go for a mixture of minimalism and collage/zine look.  I love white space, but embellishments are fun and sometimes I can't stop myself!
What scrapbookers have influenced you most?

Stephanie Bryan was my first scrap idol.  I also love Kelly Purkey, Liz Tamanaha, and so many more!  I've been so inspired by everyone I've met online through the scrapbooking community.

What is your favorite thing about kit clubs?
I really love the communities that are built around kit clubs.  It's so much fun to see what all of your friends make!  We all have unique styles and you can be inspired by the way someone else uses the kit.  Like when we say "I never thought to use (this) for (that)!"
What are your 5 favorite scrapbooking items you can’t do without?
Tiny attacher, typewriter, stamps, vellum, and white gel pens!
How would you describe the Citrus Twist February Pocket Life Kit and why will people love it?
This kit is a great mix of cute and clean!  It was so easy for me to flip through and find pieces that I always gravitate towards, but I also found patterns that I don't normally use and they inspired me to try something different!  I love getting out of my creative comfort zone.
Now, lets take a look at Casey's layout that she created for us today using the February Life Pages Kit:

Thank you so much Casey for joining us here at Citrus Twist Kits! It has been a pleasure getting to know you better and we look forward to seeing what you else you create!

**Make sure and leave a comment at the end of this post and we will be picking one lucky winner to receive one of Casey's favorite scrapbooking supplies! Good luck!
