A View from Our Gallery

This week we're featuring a layout posted to our gallery all the way from Malaysia. We love Phei Chee's take on a recent sketch challenge on our blog. We've also got a scrapbooking challenge for you based on Phei Chee's sweet page. Here it is:

Create a page (or work the challenge into a PL page) that uses these two elements: circular stitching and an embellishment cluster that has at least 5 embellishments. We'd love to see the results of this challenge posted in our Gallery.

Now, let's meet Phei Chee!

Hi, I‘m Phei Chee from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, working as a Fashion Buyer.

I started scrap-booking in May 2013 and I've been hooked ever since. I love making mini albums, travelogues and also seasoning cards for my loved one, to record those precious little moments in my life. I started my pocket life two months ago and I am really in love with it.

I love playing along with the sketch challenges. All the sketch layouts from the DT are always so inspiring. Here is my layout based on the 6/29 sketch:

Love this 6/29 sketch so much! I decided to play along with it immediately, pulling out my leftover May PL kit, and got it done within 2+ hours.
I was able to fit 4 pictures in my layout and very coincidentally I'd forced him to take this series of selfies last weekend! Ho ho Ho! So I think this is just nice for this layout!

I printed those pics 1.75" x 1.75" by using my lovely canon CP900.Then I found that the color palette of the 6x6 Webster's Pages paper matched my pictures so well! It makes this layout an easier one.

The "original circle" on the paper makes my jobs easier, I just had to add two rows of machine stitching and call-it-done.

Can you spot the gold color title from Maggie Holmes? Love it so much as it looks seriously elegant! Those white color stickers are awesome too. I just feel like putting everywhere! Can you spot some of them on top of my picture? Since I used a white color background I stuck those white stickers on green color card stock and randomly fussy cut it.

Last but not least . . . sprinkles! Since I'm not good at handling that, I changed it to be little stars, and used my lovely star puncher, then stuck them everywhere randomly as I like.

I hope my layout has inspired you.

Thanks for looking, too :).
