Life Crafted with Kira

Hey there!  It's Kira and I am back with another layout in my Life Crafted album.  Today I am using all digital products (besides some enamel dots that I pulled in for some additional texture.  Here's a look at my layout:

I am currently in the process of doing an entire album dedicated to my son's sixth birthday party.  He chose a Harry Potter theme and I went all out to fulfill his request.  So after all my hard work, I wanted to document every aspect of the party.  Today I am scrapbooking a page about one of the activities the boys did:  catching pixies!

I was inspired by a bullet journaling page I saw on Pinterest and wanted to translate it to a fun interactive page.  So I cut some small strips of patterned paper down to 1"x1.75", scored them at 1/4" from the top and stitched them to the white background paper.  This created a fun interactive flip up to put my journaling.

On a few of the pieces of paper, I embellished with die cuts and enamel dots of coordinating colors.

Then I typed up my journaling to adhere underneath each of the flip ups.  Since this page has interactive elements, I didn't want it to be hidden behind a page protector, so to add it to my album, I used an adhesive page strip instead.

On the reverse page, I liked the idea of sticking with the color blocking I had created on the right page.  So I cut strips at 1" wide in the same papers and stitched them down on some white cardstock.  Then I added embellishments in coordinating colors again.

Finally I added one of the pixies that my kids caught during our Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson.

Thanks for stopping by!

xo, Kira
